Taylor Swift Praises Berklee Music Students’ “Wildest Dreams” And “Bad Blood” Cover – WATCH VIDEO
Taylor Swift gave a special shout-out to an acoustic cover medley of two of her biggest songs. On Wednesday, Swift tweeted that she thought a cover of her hits “Wildest Dreams” and “Bad Blood,” performed by two students at Boston’s Berklee College of Music, was “stunning.” See the video below.
The medley cover features Tim Reynolds on violin and Nigel Tay on guitar. Originally posted last September by Berklee College of Music, the video currently has only 18,000 views on YouTube, but it’s safe to say that the number will climb much higher, thanks to Swift noticing and calling it “stunning.
Swift’s fans are already clamoring over the performance. A Twitter user named @breanarehak expressed, “YES!!! This is fantastic! I wish I got into Berklee,” while @MkKool tweeted, “it is so beautiful.” Another fan named @wonderstuckcat declared, “omg I am seriously in love with this,” while @fearlesslyable wrote, “The passion that both of these musicians have is unreal.”
Berklee alumni have already had their hands on some of Swift’s music. Her album Red was co-produced by class of 1999 graduate Jeff Bhasker, while class of 2000 graduate Pawel Sek served as an engineer/mixer for the album. Watch the acoustic medley cover of “Wildest Dreams” and “Bad Blood” below.
