Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez freaked out backstage at the 2016 Grammy Awards after learning that “Bad Blood” had just won Best Music Video at the Grammys Premiere Ceremony. Watch the singers’ emotional reaction in the video below!
Swift tweeted, “Bad Blood just won a Grammy for Best Music Video and we are not ok,” along with a video of herself and Gomez unable to contain their excitement in a Grammys dressing room. Swift is wearing a bathrobe, while Gomez is sitting in the makeup chair, as both are getting ready for the big show. They took a break, however, to repeatedly scream, “Oh my god!” and “What just happened?” upon hearing the good news. Gomez, who plays a villain in “Bad Blood,” later tweeted the backstage video as well, adding, “I got to be in my best friends first Grammy award winning music video!!!!!!?!”
As Gossip Cop has reported, Swift also took home the award for Best Pop Vocal Album for 1989 during the Premiere Ceremony. Swift’s additional nominations include Best Record, Song of the Year, Album of the Year, and several more. The singer is up for seven Grammy nods in total.
