Taylor Swift Hosts Secret Listening Session For “1989” Album At L.A. Home (PHOTOS)
Taylor Swift invited fans on Saturday for a “1989” Secret Session at her Los Angeles home, where she played her entire new album and posed for Polaroid photos.
The “Shake If Off” singer was not surprisingly a gracious host, giving fans a day they would never forget. Swift baked the group cookies, let them hold her awards, and even introduced them to her cat Olivia Benson.
The lucky guests took to social media to share their experience and praise Swift. “So I spent my lovely Saturday at @taylorswift house!! had lunch, met her mom dad and cats, ate her amazing cookies!,” one fan wrote on TSwift LA Tumblr. “Listened to the entire 1989 album before it comes out! Rapped and danced with her and hugged her about a million times!”
The guest added, “She is the most amazing person I have ever met this honestly made my entire life! I know no one is going to believe me but I really don’t care lol #CantStopCrying #asw1989 #1989SecretSessions #amazingnight.”
Journalist Chris Willman also wrote about Saturday’s events, tweeting, “The phrase ‘fan engagement’ always makes me sleepy. But when I see a star bake her fans cookies, it’s not about metrics, just mutual delight.”
At the end of the session, each fan was given an engraved key chain to remember their time with the singer. And this isn’t the first time Swift has invited strangers into her home. In August, the pop star had fans over her New York apartment for a pizza party.
