Taylor Lautner Joins ‘Scream Queens’ Season 2 As Mysterious Doctor
Taylor Lautner has joined the second season of Fox’s “Scream Queens,” it was announced on Thursday. The actor will play a doctor suffering from a strange medical condition, who becomes a suspect following a series of tragic events at his hospital.
The first season of the hit horror-comedy series took place at a college, but Season 2 will see the setting change to a medical institution that specializes in bizarre cases. Lautner’s character, Dr. Cassidy Cascade, will be working alongside fellow “Scream Queens” newbie John Stamos, who portrays Dr. Brock Holt, the hospital’s brilliant, but peculiar head surgeon.
Most of the cast from the first season will be returning to the series, including Emma Roberts, Jamie Lee Curtis, Lea Michele, Abigail Breslin, Keke Palmer, Glen Powell and Niecy Nash. Many of these characters have now graduated from college and have become hospital employees. Season 1 guest stars also included Ariana Grande and Nick Jonas, but it’s yet to be announced if either will be returning for this next installment.
“Scream Queens” is executive produced by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk, who were also behind “Glee,” “American Horror Story” and “The People v. O.J. Simpson.” The second season premieres September 20 at 9 p.m. on Fox. Stay tuned for the first Season 2 trailer!
