Taylor Lautner: “It’s Very Rare That Things Are True About Yourself… On The Internet”

Following in his co-stars’ footsteps, (and Snooki‘s!), Breaking Dawn star Taylor Lautner talks with Parade magazine this week.

At the core of the conversation, he talks about his real abs and fake rumors.

He explains, “I’ve pretty much always been a pretty healthy eater and I don’t pig out. If I occasionally want ice cream or something, I can have it.”

After filming wrapped on his frequently shirtless Twilight character, Lautner says he let up a little.

“It was a huge celebration. I went out and had dessert for the first time in a while, and I took a few days off [from] the gym.”

He finds it harder to stay away from the incessant Internet rumor mill.

“It’s tough because sometimes you’ll just be on the web and things pop up or you get emailed something from a friend. It is definitely impossible to avoid stuff about me sometimes, but it’s pretty important to try.”

Lautner adds, “It’s very rare that things are true about yourself that are on the Internet. It’s just sad sometimes. So you definitely try and stay away from it as much as possible.”

The actor also describes a pretty incredible fan encounter he and Kristen Stewart experienced while doing interviews at a Brazilian hotel.

“All of a sudden our security barges in and locks the door,” he recalls.

“We’re like, ‘What’s going on?’ And they said, ‘Remain calm, but about 2,000 girls just broke through the hotel lobby and they’re on their way up the stairs to get to this room.”

Fortunately, the National Guard was there to help.

    Now that is fucking scary all those girls rushing like that, those girls need to be fucking ashamed trying to do some crap like that. I don’t understand why people feel the need to act like that when it comes to celebrities um I have met some celebs and trust me they are no different than the rest of us plain Janes/Joes. They poop, eat sleep and do everything we all do at the end of the day. Never understood all that crying and screaming nonsense how hard is it to say “I’m a fan of yours, thank you for your autograph, love your work and have a nice day.” To storm/stalk and try to break into hotel rooms is beyond scary and sad.
    On another note, I find it a bit sad that Taylor is really only known for taking off his shirt, that’s not all he has contributed to the Twilight series and its pretty sad that’s all anyone is really talking about. Like he’s not the first guy to have abs nor is he the sexist guy alive. After this series he needs to distance himself from anything that has to deal with him taking off his shirt and stay away from John Singleton. I like Taylor a lot but I’m starting to wonder if he can truly make it in this business.

    I love Taylor. He seems to be a very sweet young man with a wonderful future. I’ve seen him in all the Twilight movies so far and he makes a wonderful Jacob. But…sometimes when I see him I still see little ‘Shark Boy’. I just can’t help it.

    Emma when Taylor promotes his other movies after the end of twilight will there even be such commotion like with breaking dawn. Dont know what happened at the abduction premiere if his fans went wild or even if the movie is doing so great. I think Taylor is a nice kid. Heard his father is really pushing his career.

    Abduction movie made over $76 mill in about six weeks. Not bad and most of it is from foreign box office. His movie might make more than water for elephants did. I will wait for the dvd.

    Taylor Lautner is a great kid, very respectful and not a typical Hollywood type. I hope he stays that way. I will support his career no matter what. I just love the way he treats people!!
