Just months after her estranged husband Russell committed suicide, Taylor Armstrong is releasing a memoir about the physical abuse she suffered during their marriage.

The “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star has signed a book deal with Simon & Schuster, which is set to release the memoir this February.

In an attempt to spread the word about domestic violence and help women in similar situations, Armstrong will open up about her abusive relationship with Russell, as well as her childhood experiences with abuse.

A source who works with the reality star tells Gossip Cop, “She pitched the book to publishers a month after he died,” explaining, “Russell left her with a ton of debt,” and her manager figured a book would be a good way to help her out financially.

Armstrong, who has volunteered for seven years at the 1736 Crisis Center for battered women and children, revealed during the first season of “Real Housewives” that she had witnessed domestic abuse as a kid in her home.

The abuse she suffered in her marriage, however, did not publicly come out until her husband had passed.

Maybe she can get a job?? The book sounds like a sad read, but if it helps someone, then I guess its a good thing. But she keeps reliving all of it, Taylor sweetie, get some therapy., and move on with your life, because until she does, its almost like she is stuck

If her husband did beat her, I am not very moved by his suicide, and she can air all their dirty laundry with my blessing!

I think its a great idea! My mom was abused as a child and I think it would be a grat way to show women that they can take a stand and do somthing! And that even people who are in the spotlight almost all the time have to deal with it!

If it’s true, then I’m all for it, but she didn’t even start pitching it until after he was gone, when he couldn’t defend himself.

I think she was in the process of divorcing him when he committed suicide. Im not even sure they were still living together when she discovered his body. That is a lot to process. Apparently there is documented evidence of his abuse, so I, for one, am not all that concerned with her husbands reputation. If the book can simultaneously help her work through her own issues with spousaal abuse while helping other victims, I say, go for it!

This is so pathetic. I don’t think I can take one more book on abuse. The truth of the matter is that no matter how much you know about abuse, or how much you are told you can escape it, the fear of leaving an abusive partner and the repercussions of that, are much too difficult to deal with. You not only fear for your own life, but the life of your children and it is all incredibly overwhelming. Just having the memoir in your home could be very dangerous. Those in abusive situations know they are in danger, they just are too paralyzed to do anything about it.
