“The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” finally addressed the elephant in the room on Monday night’s episode, with Camille Grammer confronting Taylor Armstrong about her husband Russell physically abusing her.

Armstrong herself unwittingly facilitates the “intervention” by calling out Lisa Vanderpump for supposedly talking behind her back.

She says, “Let’s all just start being honest.”

Grammer then interjects that Armstrong’s partially responsible for the superficial facade among the friends, because the ladies have been forced into guarding her secret.

“We’ve been protecting you,” says Grammer, “because we don’t say that he hits you, because we don’t say that he broke your jaw, or that he beat you up.”

Since the episode was taped, Armstrong filed for divorce from her husband, and Russell committed suicide before the season aired.
