Demi Moore a No-Show at Daughter Tallulah’s Debutante Ball in Paris

(Twitter)Bruce Willis and Demi Moore‘s 17-year-old daughter Tallulah Willis became an official member of high society on Saturday when she was introduced at Le Bal des Debutantes in Paris’ Hotel Crillon.

Tallulah, dressed in a Lanvin sequined gown, was joined by her dad and older sisters Rumer and Scout, but noticeably absent was her mom Moore.

The actress has been out of the public eye since announcing she’s going to divorce Ashton Kutcher.

Tallulah debuted with just 22 other daughters of the international rich and powerful at the ball, which first launched in 1957.

Her sister Rumer tweeted this photo (above) of the newly minted debutante.

    … wow what a great support from the mother. Yeah i get the fact that she’s most likely still upset with the whole divorce, but she should have been brave enough to be there for her daughter…

    no offense to her mother hood, now i know why her daughters would probably rather spend their thanksgiving with their dad than her.

    Why wasn’t she there, that’s what I want to know. This was probably one of the most important days of her daughter’s life & she missed it. I hope she made up for it.

    Maybe. I just hope she had a good reason, and if that was her reason. I consider it a good one. Otherwise, shame on her. I get that she is upset over the Ashton thing, but we all saw it coming, and her daughter is still importaat no matter what else goes on.

    Oh Please-since when are the Willis’ members of HIGH SOCIETY? A ‘DEB’ ball is an old time ‘coming out’ party for the members of HIGH SOCIETY to say ‘this is my daughter-she is of age, only those of equal standing can now seriously persue her.’ The ‘debs’ are NORMALLY DRESSED IN WHITE GOWNS, very much alike or the same type dress. Now, ‘deb’ balls are prominent in the SOUTH still, so, why PARIS? Because it was at the CRILLON HOTEL, they are the ones sponsoring the ‘ball’. Why? Because 20 years ago, the Crillon RELAUNCHED their DEB ball as a CHARITY FUNDRAISER. So, whoever PAYS THE DONATION FEE, gets to have their child ‘debbed’. and for those ragging on Demi-Bruce is the one who took SCOUT there 3 years ago. Demi quite possibly does not believe in this ‘COMING OUT BS’ and it is a total Bruce thing. A father daughter thing he does with his daughers. Like I said, a DEB ball is there to set the stage for the young ladies to look for potential husbands of their standing. Do any of the Willis girls date ‘high society’? And please look at the dress, totally non deb wear. AND A HORRIBLE PICTURE OF ALL THREE.

    Are you kidding me she did twit why she wasn’t there? That’s her favorite way of communicating. Normally, its all about the kids but it looks like its all about demi and ashton.

    I know the reason she could not attend. The guest list of the event turned out to be in direct conflict with Demi Moore’s charity work against human slavery. There is a lot of information on the net right now about it. Several industrialist connected to exploitation scandals in Mae Sot and Saipan were to be in attendence(daughters or granddaughters being debuted. She could not attend because she would have looked like a complete hypocrite. As I understand it, she withdrew from participation so as not to endorse the event. Clint Eastwood did the same thing in 2009 when one of the guest debutantes was the grandaughter of a Triad Mafia member (Stanley Ho). A lot of Media knows about this, but covers it up.
