Taken 2 Takes Another Weekend Win, Beating Argo & Sinister

Taken 2 has done it again, taking a second straight weekend box office title.

The Liam Neeson thriller earned $22.5 million to stay in the top spot, just ahead of Ben Affleck’s new release Argo ($20.1 million) and Ethan Hawke’s horror film Sinister ($18.3 million).

Animated family flick Hotel Transylvania grabbed fourth place with $17.3 million.

Kevin James’ mixed martial arts tale Here Comes The Boom finished at #5 with $12 million.

The college a cappella comedy Pitch Perfect is next with $9.3 million, followed by Frankenweenie ($7 million) and Looper ($6.3 million).

The Top 10 finished up with Seven Psychopaths ($4.3 million) and The Perks of Being a Wallflower ($2.2 million).
