As if Whitney Houston didn’t have enough problems with her “Nothing But Love” tour, including tales of being out of shape, cancelling the kickoff of her European tour, and a stint in a Paris hospital, now the singer has had to battle the volcanic ash spewed from Iceland. Say what?

Whitney Houston is in a Paris hospital.

The singer, according to her people, is suffering from nose and throat issues. Houston’s European tour was to have kicked off in the City of Lights yesterday, but was canceled because of what was described as a “respiratory infection.” No word yet when she will be healthy enough to start her performances in Europe.

Whitney Houston was slated to begin her European tour tonight in Paris, but it’s being postponed due to illness.

“Whitney is suffering from an upper respiratory infection and after a consultation with her doctors has been advised to postpone her performance,” read a statement from concert organizers.

“Worried friends and family members are begging Whitney Houston to go back into rehab!” screams the opening line of this week’s National Enquirer cover story, which has prompted legal letter from Houston’s camp.

According to the article, loved ones “fear she may have returned to her deadly drug abuse habits” and are trying to get her “into a facility for testing and treatment, if necessary, before her demons dead-end her career.”
