“Beyonce FAKED IT… She used a PROSTHETIC Baby Bump at The MTV Awards!!” blares another “World Exclusive” from MediaTakeOut, which is consistently wrong when it comes to reporting about the singer.

According to a “top industry insider,” “The word BEHIND THE SCENES at the VMAs was that Beyonce was wearing a PROSTHETIC BELLY.”

The supposed source claims that while Beyonce is in fact expecting, “She is NOT in her second trimester – she’s only a little more than 8 WEEKS pregnant,” adding, “She wanted the announcement to be dramatic, so she made sure she had a baby bump.”

Actually, the really shocking thing here is that Beyonce is only just showing now, considering that MediaFakeOut wrongly reported she was pregnant in March 2010, and then AGAIN in April.

After so many unsuccessful attempts to impregnate Beyonce, the site now expects us to believe it’s intimately familiar with exactly how far along she is?

Not a chance.

A source close to Beyonce assures us she was absolutely NOT wearing a “prosthetic belly” at the VMAs.

The only thing FAKE here is MTO’s “insider.”

Chris Brown‘s performance at the MTV Video Music Awards will undoubtedly go down as one of his most epic dance routines yet.

The singer danced to his hit singles “Yeah 3x” and “Beautiful People,” Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit” and Wu Tang Clan’s “Protect Your Neck.”

“Calderone” gave an angry, expletive-laden monologue about Gaga and fame, then sat down at the piano and delivered a powerful performance of “You And I.”

Adam Levine of Maroon 5 not only won’t be at the MTV Video Music Awards, but he’s not even going to watch them.

“The Voice” judge voiced his criticism of the network today.

Levine first tweeted, ”the VMA’s. one day a year when MTV pretends to still care about music. I’m drawing a line in the sand. f**k you VMA’s.”

MTV then responded via Twitter: ”Soooo you’ll be tuning in at 9/8C tomorrow right? (BTW, bonus points if you TwitPic your 2004 Moonman!)”

Levine later shot back, “still waiting to have my ‘jerry macguire mission statement moment of deep regret… ‘ not happening. phew!”

Despite the New York Times calling Chelsea Handler‘s hosting of the 2010 Video Music Awards “the worst in [the] show’s history,” she’s certainly happy with her performance.

And she even tweeted her satisfaction and an expletive directed at Perez Hilton, who said on Twitter that he “would have done a better job than Chelsea did!”

Uh, he can’t even do his own job.

Anyway, Handler responded to Perez, “oh, f*** off. I had a blast and the show [was] awesome last night. Bomb? Your life is a bomb.”

Far from bombing, the show scored huge ratings. With 11.4 million viewers last night, the awards show drew its largest audience since 2002.

Handler tweeted later, ”Just got word…Highest rated vma’s since 2002. Good job, mtv! Good job, kiddo.”

It’s hard to believe it was only one year ago that Katy Perry and Russell Brand began their whirlwind courtship.

The now-engaged couple met at last year’s MTV Video Music Awards, but weren’t quite able to relive that magical moment at last night’s show.

Perry attended solo… but she had Brand’s likeness nailed – literally.

The singer tweeted a picture of her fingernails (right), which sported decals of Brand in different poses.

“To the 1 year anniversary of our love @ the #VMA’S @rustyrockets,” she wrote. “You’re here w/us in spirit :)”

In reply, Brand, who was in New York shooting Arthur, tweeted “@katyperry I’m hosting my own awards (#RBMA’s) you win. See you wednesday (in LA).” Accompanying his tweet was a picture of him holding out a flower and an image of Perry taped to his head.

If that ain’t love, we don’t know what is.

Most artists are ecstatic just to attend the MTV Video Music Awards, but according to PopEater, Taylor Swift was anything but that.

In fact, the site declares Swift “was terrified to perform” her new song, “Innocent,” which was directed towards Kanye West and the incident last year at the awards show.

Wait, the chart-topper and seasoned performer was “terrified”?

A so-called Swift “friend” tells PopEater, “Taylor was a nervous wreck before she hit the stage last night. She knew Kanye was in the building and was terrified and praying that he wouldn’t pull another stunt.”

Swift supposedly “had no idea how he would react to the song she wrote and performed about him,” the source continues.

Well, Gossip Cop can tell you precisely how those close to Swift reacted to PopEater’s latest tale.

“Not true,” a Swift confidante repeatedly said about each of the site’s allegations.

Swift, who actually met with West backstage, was confident in herself and the song – two reasons she chose to perform it.

Both Swift and West are trying to turn over a new leaf. It’s a shame sites like PopEater are trying to “wreck” it with inaccurate reporting.

About an hour after Taylor Swift sang her untitled song of forgiveness directed toward Kanye West, the rapper also belted out a tune directed at himself, though the lyrics were far less forgiving.

Dressed in a bright red suit and dripping in gold chains, West debuted the song with “Runaway,” in which he seemingly verbally attacked himself.

“You’ve been putting up with my s**t for way too long,” he rapped before singing the refrain, ”Let’s have a toast for the douchebags. Let’s have a toast for the a**holes… Let’s have a toast for the scumbags. Let’s have a toast for the jerkoffs. Baby, I got a plan. Runaway fast as you can.”

A year after West outrageously interrupted Swift while she accepted her award for Best Female Video, the country crooner debuted a new song tonight at the MTV Video Music Awards, and by the sound of her lyrics, she’s absolved him.

Right after a TV onstage replayed West’s outburst from last year, Swift began to sing lines directed at West that included, “Who you are is not what you did,” And “32 is still growing up now.”

She also sang, “Today is never too late to be brand new,” as well as “Everyone one of us has messed up too,” and “I hope you remember today’s never too late… to be friends with you.”

Taylor Swift will be at the Video Music Awards tomorrow, and Kanye West better watch out.

A source connected with the awards show told the Associated Press that Swift penned a song about how West interrupted her last year when she beat Beyonce for Best Female Video, and the country crooner’s going to sing the new song tomorrow night at the VMAs.

The tune will be  featured on Swift’s upcoming album “Speak Now,” set for release in October.

Just last week, West tweeted,” I wrote a song for Taylor Swift that’s so beautiful and I want her to have it. If she won’t take it then I’ll perform it for her.”

West, who has apologized since his outrageous outburst last year, recently again felt remorse and tweeted, “I’m sorry Taylor.”

Justin Bieber fans were treated to a free, unannounced concert yesterday.

In advance of his performance tomorrow night at the MTV Video Music Awards, the teen singing sensation rehearsed outdoors for close to two hours near the Staples Center in L.A.

Bieber and his young back-up dancers went over every step of his performance, including his (scheduled) arrival in a red 1957 Chevy.

While rehearsing his routine for the song, “Baby,” Bieber moonwalked and practiced a drum solo, though it didn’t go so smoothly. He moaned, ”What’s wrong with my drums? Like, I don’t hear anything and it should be loud… This has to be, like, an epic moment. It’s ending the song.”

He also later griped, “The vocals are too loud in my ear and I can’t hear the groove.”

Bieber, of course, was only trying to make sure everything was perfectly executed for his big performance tomorrow outside the Nokia Theatre, where the Video Music Awards will be handed out.

“So the MTV Video Music Awards will be on Sunday, September 12^th, and everyone knows that when you think of rap music and hip-hop, you think of ‘Chelsea Lately,’” said Chelsea Handler at the top of her E! show tonight, adding, “And that’s why I will be hosting them.”

“Kanye West will have the chance to let Taylor Swift finish on Monday,” claims AccessHollywood.com in a piece titled, “Taylor Swift & Kanye West To Team Up For ‘We Are The World’ Remake.”

The report, which got picked up everywhere, goes on to state, “A source has exclusively confirmed to Access Hollywood that the two musicians – who faced off in an infamous incident at last year’s MTV Video Music Awards — will be among those participating in Quincy Jones’ remake of the 1985 charity anthem, ‘We Are The World,’ at a recording session the day after the Grammys.”

One big problem: A Swift insider assures Gossip Cop that the Grammy-nominated singer will NOT be at the recording session.

In fact, Swift will be leaving Los Angeles immediately after the awards show, and traveling to Australia, where she will be performing a few days later in Brisbane.

Gossip Cop feels it’s like shooting fish in a barrel, but since we’re about presenting the most accurate celebrity news, we sometimes have to call out Perez Hilton more than once a day.

Today is one of those days.

Under the headline, “Kanye’s NOT Invited,” Perez writes that “Kanye West was not invited to participate in George Clooney’s telethon fundraiser for the earthquake victims in Haiti due to his bad reputation.”

Perez even quotes “one of the producers” explaining, “After what he said on the Katrina telethon and the way he behaved at the MTV Video Music Awards, everyone agrees it’s just best that he does not participate.”

He then says, “we can’t blame” the show’s producers for not inviting West.

But Gossip Cop can blame Perez for sloppy reporting.

The truth is MTV did invite West, but has yet to hear back whether he’ll participate or not.

The story originally appeared on another blog, but that site updated its post to reflect MTV’s assertion that West was asked to help with the fundraiser.

Perez either chose to ignore the facts or was too busy making video blogs about how he’s “desperate” for a date.

It’s been a chaotic few weeks for Kanye West since he laid a giant egg with his antics at the MTV Video Music Awards. But many sites have taken it as a cue to invent even more bizarre behavior for the embattled rapper.

On Saturday night, Common organized an all-star benefit concert at The Palladium in Hollywood for The Common Ground Foundation, featuring the likes of Queen Latifah, Ludacris, Mos Def . . . and Kanye West. Janet Charlton reports that Kanye arrived in the green room only minutes before he was due to perform, but still had time to allegedly cause trouble.

According to Charlton’s story, Kanye noticed someone eating chicken and “blurted petulantly, ‘Why wasn’t I offered chicken? It’s NOT FAIR – you want me to perform for free – everyone is eating – WHY AM I NOT EATING!” After he was told that he needed to have ordered the chicken, the item says Kanye then yelled, “‘Well, I’m ASKING NOW!!” as the other celebs watched in horror and girlfriend Amber Rose stepped back.

In a final insult, after a waiter rushed to get Kanye an order of chicken, the star “literally took ONE bite and dumped it before he grabbed the mic and went onstage,” claims Charlton.

Wow! What a crazy backstage story! That’s unbelievable – literally – according to a source who was in the green room. The insider tells Gossip Cop “there was nothing remotely like this.”

Look – Kanye tends to make a fool of himself as it is. He doesn’t need “help” from imaginative media.

You’d think a paper named The Sun would illuminate the truth more often.

The tab now claims Janet Jackson plans to wear black for a year to mourn the death of her brother, Michael Jackson. A “source” tells the paper that “as a mark of respect she has decided to only wear black clothes to express her grief, and she has had to go on a number of shopping trips to find suitable items to wear.” The custom will conclude on the anniversary of Michael’s death next June, when Janet’s “time of reflection will come to an end.” The Sun goes on to suggest that Jackson’s decision to perform in black earlier this month at MTV’s Video Music Awards was evidence of this “new wardrobe.”

Really? That’s strange. Because a little more than a week ago, Jackson was in white and beige at a Ralph Lauren event during Fashion Week in New York City. And just last night she wore a blue dress to amfAR’s Inaugural Milan Fashion Week event.

In fact, it’s difficult to find her in black at all recently when she’s not performing.

A source close to Janet told Gossip Cop that the Sun story was a big old yarn. Sure seems that way to us.

So much real controversy came out of Kanye West‘s drunken interruption of Taylor Swift at the MTV Video Music Awards, you would think there wouldn’t be much need to make up stuff.

But Star reports “exclusively” that Kanye’s girlfriend, Amber Rose, became fed up with his out-of-control behavior and “dumped him.”

According to Star, a “friend” reveals that Rose “ended their seven-month relationship” after Kanye was kicked out of the awards show, where he drank Hennessy on the red carpet and later stormed the stage. “They got into a really big fight about him bringing that bottle,” confides the friend. “She told him he made a fool of himself and that she didn’t want to see him again until he got help.”

Huh. That’s funny. Because Kanye and Rose were out on the town together last night — at a bar.

An employee at Capitol City sports bar in Hollywood told Gossip Cop that the couple was there together yesterday, celebrating the launch of “The Cleveland Show,” Seth MacFarlane‘s new animated series, on which Kanye will provide a guest voice.

The British OK! story, “Madonna to Duet With Janet,” attracted a lot of attention, and a slew of other media outlets picked up on it.

“Madonna will perform a duet with Janet Jackson as a tribute to Michael Jackson,” began the report, adding, “The two singers are working on a tribute to Janet’s late brother after bonding over dinner after Sunday’s MTV Video Music Awards.” The mag even had a source who said, “Madonna was so impressed with Janet’s tribute to Michael that they started talking about how great it would be to honour him by doing something together.”

How about we honor Michael Jackson’s memory by no longer publishing phony stories about him? Madonna’s rep told Gossip Cop point blank: “They did not meet at or after [the] VMAs.”

Side note: “Scoop” Hilton, who “reported” the story as well, added, “Maybe they should give Janet’s brother Jermaine Jackson a call. We hear he needs killer acts for Vienna.”

Cute . . . except this somehow “celebrity expert” seems to have missed the hundreds of thousands of stories about how the tribute concert has been moved to London. Including the one on his own site.

There’s no doubt Kanye West doesn’t make good decisions (SEE Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech AND “A Concert for Hurricane Relief”), but contemplating suicide is not among them.

Still, the site Media Take Out claims, “SUICIDE WATCH!!! PERSON CLOSE TO KANYE WEST FEARS THAT HE MAY HURT HIMSELF!!!” The blog goes on to report “that Kanye West may do something rash.” Rasher than interrupting a young woman’s acceptance speech after winning her first trophy at the MTV Video Music Awards?

Media Take Out further notes, “According to the individual, who is a fairly close acquaintance of Kanye, since the incident, Ye’s fallen into a deep depression and people close to him are worrying about it.” Don’t want to be nitpicky about something so serious, but the worrying should have begun with his obnoxious outburst, not with his reaction to the negative press.

A source at his label says they hadn’t heard this at all and strongly doubted the report’s accuracy. A rep for Kanye did not get back to Gossip Cop.

UPDATE  2:40PM:  Kanye West has apologized to Taylor Swift. “The View” released a statement saying, “After the show he spoke personally to the country music superstar via telephone and has apologized to the 19-year-old singer. She has accepted Mr. West’s apology. The contents of the phone call are to remain private.”

11:50 AM:  Taylor Swift appeared on “The View” moments ago to discuss Sunday night’s controversy at the MTV Video Music Awards, where Kanye West hijacked her acceptance of the Best Female Video award to praise Beyonce. The incident has been water cooler conversation for the past two days, and Swift’s appearance on “The View” was her first opportunity to talk about Sunday’s stunner.

Swift got a standing ovation from the hosts and the entire audience when she walked out.

After showing the video of Kanye’s rude interruption, Swift was asked to recap what was going through her mind at the time. She said, “I think my overall thought process was something like, ‘Wow I can’t believe I won. This is awesome. Don’t trip and fall. I’m going to get to thank the fans, this is so cool—oh, Kanye West is here.” It got laughs from the audience. Swift continued, “Kanye West is here, cool haircut, what are you doing there? And then ouch, and then I guess I’m not going to get to thank the fans.”

“I’m not going to say I wasn’t rattled by it,” said Swift, adding, however, that she had to recompose herself to perform only five minutes later.

She was warmed by all the artists, fans and tweeters who showed their support in the hours following. She said “I never imagined that there were that many people looking out for me.” She added it was “really wonderful to see there were people out there defending me so I didn’t have to.”

Swift then performed music from her album “Fearless,” which clearly she is.

Despite Kanye West’s rude interruption of Taylor Swift at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, an NBC spokesperson confirmed last night that Kanye “is scheduled to” still appear this evening on the premiere of “The Jay Leno Show.” Kanye is slated to perform “Run This Town” with Jay-Z and Rihanna.

Originally a spokesperson told Gossip Cop that West was “just scheduled to perform,” but now Gossip Cop hears he’s also going to have the opportunity to sit down with Leno, and try to explain his bad behavior. Pretty safe we’ll hear another public apology.

It will be interesting to see what type of reception Kanye receives.

Hot on the heels of winning Best Female Video, and being interrupted by hip hop horror Kanye West, “The View” has invited Taylor Swift to perform two songs on the talk show. It will be the country singer’s first appearance on the program.

It’s ironic but Kanye, who stupidly, allegedly drunkenly, and certainly obnoxiously tried to shine the light on Beyonce with his outburst, ended up inadvertently making Swift even bigger than she was.

But wait, ready for the biggest irony – Swift and Kanye share the same agent!!!

Fresh off of last night’s Video Music Awards outburst, Kanye West arrived at JFK airport this morning to leave behind the firestorm he created. He was asked about Taylor Swift and country music. Then he had to get through security detectors. Watch an exit about as smooth as his behavior last night.
