Vanessa Hudgens really gave her all in preparing for her upcoming movie, Gimme Shelter.

In addition to personally chopping off her hair for her role as a homeless, pregnant teenager, Hudgens says she temporarily stayed in a shelter to better understand her character’s struggle.

The High School Musical star talked about the movie on The “Rachael Ray Show” on Friday, telling the host, ”I actually went and stayed in a shelter for two weeks before I started filming.”

“I lived there with all the girls, with all the kids, so I think that it’s really interesting because you find so much more about yourself,” added Hudgens.

Hudgens’ much lighter film, Journey 2: The Mysterious Island, hits theaters today.

We can’t lie: Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Tisdale have some serious dance moves.

The High School Musical alums took a dance class in L.A. on Thursday, and Tisdale shared a video of their awesome routine, set to Beyonce’s “Run the World (Girls).”

It’s pretty impressive.

After the intense workout, the ladies got all glammed up to attend the premiere of Hudgens’ new movie, Journey 2: The Mysterious Island.

Ashley Benson of “Pretty Little Liars” is joining Spring Breakers.

The movie, also starring Selena Gomez and Vanessa Hudgens, revolves around four college women who rob a restaurant to pay for their spring break.

They’re bailed out by a bad guy (played by James Franco) who has them do some “dirty work” as compensation.

Emma Roberts was supposed to be in the film, but recently dropped out.

Benson confirmed the casting news on Twitter.

“Im so excited to be joining the cast of Spring Breakers. It’s a very exciting project to be a part of. Thank you all for your support :)” wrote the actress.

Well, this is… awkward.

While promoting their upcoming movie Journey 2: The Mysterious Island, exes Vanessa Hudgens and Josh Hutcherson were asked on an Australian morning show, “How long have you two been going out?”

Yikes.

The pair dated briefly after shooting the film, but broke up over the summer, and Hudgens is now quite serious with another guy, Austin Butler.

After the question, a very awkward silence ensues, as Hudgens and Hutcherson exchange a puzzled look.

Finally Hutcherson says, “We’re not… We were at one point, but she broke my heart — no, just kidding…”

“Zac & Rumer: It’s Serious” reads the headline of a Star story that claims Zac Efron and Rumer Willis are “taking their relationship to the next level.”

The mag reports that after Efron’s failed attempts to win back Vanessa Hudgens, he “finally realized that the right woman had been there for him all along.”

Now, says the tabloid, in addition to a “romantic” getaway in the Turks & Caicos islands with Willis, she’s been “spending the night” a lot time in Efron’s home, and “they’re acting like a couple.”

According to Star, “Zac told Rumer he’s developing strong feelings for her.”

Here’s what’s good about the mag’s reporting: Nothing.

A source close to Efron tells Gossip Cop that the High School Musical star and Willis are strictly “friends.”

Are Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens “back on?” asks Perez Hilton.

According to the blogger, the former couple “may be on their way to [a] reconciliation” as they were recently “seen partying together at Eden, a nightclub in Hollywood.”

Perez quotes an alleged “spy” as saying that Hudgens was “bopping around with her arms up while Zac had his hands all over her!”

“The two were inseparable,” notes the source, adding, “Zac sat in between her legs and she wrapped her arms around him.”

“And the freakin’ PDA doesn’t stop there!” scribbles Perez. “Apparently, there was some kissing going on as well towards the end of the night! KISSING!!!”

This all did happen… LAST JANUARY.

Somehow or another, the behind-the-times blogger reported this 10-months-old night together as a current ”reconciliation.”

The FBI has arrested a man suspected of hacking phones and email accounts belonging to Hollywood stars including Scarlett Johansson and Vanessa Hudgens and leaking their photos.

“Operation Hackerazzi,” as it’s called, made the bust on Wednesday morning.

Sources within the FBI confirm to Gossip Cop that it was an individual in Florida, acting alone.

He has not yet been identified.

As Gossip Cop previously reported, Hudgens met with investigators last March after nude photos of the “High School Musical” star were distributed online.

Naked shots of Johansson were swiped and circulated last month.

Actresses including Ali Later, Emma Caulfield and Busy Phillips have also reportedly been targeted by the suspect.

The FBI plans to hold a press conference this afternoon.

Vanessa Hudgens has a new man.

The Sucker Punch star was spotted on Saturday night kissing 20-year-old actor Austin Butler at Bob’s Big Boy diner in L.A.

Earlier in the evening, Hudgens and Butler, who has starred in Nickelodeon’s “Zoey 101,” attended a 30th birthday party at Lexington Social House for Ashley Tisdale‘s sister, Jennifer.

Gossip Cop has reached out to a rep for Hudgens for comment.

Vanessa Hudgens is set to star in Frozen Ground, a serial killer thriller based on the true story of a man who hunted and murdered women in the Alaskan wilderness.

John Cusack will play Robert Hansen, who abducted approximately two dozen women in the 1980s, flying them to remote locations before stalking them in the forest.

Hudgens is due to portray a would-be victim who escapes and works with a state trooper (Nicolas Cage) to bring down Hansen.

The casting was first reported by Deadline.

According to the tabloid, “The two packed on the PDA at the Hurley Walk the Walk National Championship on Aug. 4.”

Adds a so-called “eyewitness” for the mag, “They were locking lips for so long, they looked like love-struck teenagers.”

Really?

Why aren’t there any photos of the make-out, considering there were loads of photographers at the event, and Hudgens and Rodriguez were supposedly “locking lips for so long”?

Perhaps Life & Style‘s eyewitness should see an optometrist.

Once again, a number of sites are flunking some very basic math when it comes to the High School Musical kids.

Ashley Tisdale had a big birthday celebration this weekend to celebrate turning 26.

During the festivities, the actress joked around on the beach with co-star and friend Zac Efron, one of many guests, including Tisdale’s boyfriend, Scott Speer.

Tisdale was excited to have Efron there, tweeting, “So happy Zacary made it to my party!!! He’s my brother/best friend!!!”

But outlets including HollywoodLife assume there’s something more sinister to it, wondering whether Tisdale’s “cozy” behavior was “betraying” her friend and Efron ex Vanessa Hudgens.

“Loyalty seemed to be the furthest thing from Ashley and Zac’s mind at the July 2 Malibu shindig,” scolds the site.

Seriously, HollywoodLife?

Tisdale and Efron, who have been friends for years, played in the waves in front of cameras and a large group of people, including her boyfriend at the LPB Group/Talent Resources Beach House.

She openly acknowledged how happy she was to have her “brother” there.

There’s nothing disloyal or stealthy or romantic about any of this.

Tisdale and Efron are not dating, they’re not hooking up, and they’re not “betraying” Hudgens.

“Peace Out, El Lay! Vanessa Hudgens is Moving!” announces Perez Hilton, claiming that Hudgens ditching Los Angeles for New York City.

The reality-challenged blogger carelessly picks up a rumor claiming the actress “was overheard telling friends that she’s relocating to New York City full-time” last night at the Calvin Klein party at the Cannes Film Festival.

Perez quotes a supposed “source” as saying that Hudgens is “super excited” about her impending move.

But the anecdote is 100% FALSE.

A rep for the Sucker Punch star tells Gossip Cop the rumor about Hudgens moving to New York is “not true.”

As usual, Perez is miles away from the truth.

According to the tab, Gomez is “now distancing herself” from Hudgens, even “cutting back on her calls and texts to Vanessa,” because image is everything to Gomez, who’s concerned Hudgens’ “wild lifestyle” will tarnish her [own] “spotless reputation.”

Star quotes a so-called “source” claiming, “Vanessa has been jumping from guy to guy and going out multiple nights a week” since splitting with Zac Efron, and Gomez is “very conscious of what the public thinks,” and is concerned Hudgens’ “constant partying… could reflect badly on her too.”

Really?

NO.

A source close to Hudgens calls the Star piece “a joke,” and Gomez’s rep tells Gossip Cop the article is “complete bulls**t” and “100% not true.”

Everything is fine between the two young stars.

Vanessa Hudgens was photographed reaching into a small bag and licking a white substance off her fingers at the Coachella music festival last weekend.

Many outlets have speculated that the actress was using drugs.

Perez Hilton, for instance, notes that Hudgens “kept herself busy by sampling a lot of substances!” and posted some of his patented doctored pics.

“Whatever she was putting in her mouth, it was white and kept in a zippered pouch!” continues Perez.

A rep for the Sucker Punch star, who’s had other photo controversies in the past, tells Gossip Cop the creamy substance was white chocolate.

At Coachella, Hudgens hung out with buddy Josh Hutcherson and seemed to enjoy herself, although she still has yet to comment on her Twitter account.

Vanessa Hudgens is doing her best to leave behind some of her more infamous publicity.

During a conversation with the Los Angeles Times, the “High School Musical” star reflects on her various racy photo scandals, the most recent of which led to FBI involvement.

In each case, private (and occasionally graphic) pictures of Hudgens were leaked online.

“It’s just silly because I’m a very present person, and that’s the thing that has been so in the past,” says the actress. “The fact that somebody keeps bringing up the past is just selfish.”

“I mean, it sucks,” continues Hudgens. “I already released a statement the first time it happened. It’s just unfortunate that it keeps reminding people about the past and not the present.”

And it’s not as though people can’t see a barely-clad Hudgens on the big screen.

In the just-released Sucker Punch, the actress isn’t afraid to show quite a bit of herself in skimpy costumes.

“I was in the best shape of my life, so why not?” she reasons.

Ellen: I know that you’re out of a relationship now. Are you friendly [with Zac]? That’s hard to be in the business because you’re both successful and bound to run into each other.

Vanessa: No, we’re good. After being in a relationship with someone that long, you stay friends.

Ellen: How long were you together with Zac?

Vanessa: Five years.

Ellen: Five years. Wow, that’s a long time. But you’re friendly?

Vanessa: Yes.

Vanessa: Can’t a girl have friends?

Olympic skier Lindsey Vonn and gymnast Carly Patterson have also been added to the list of women hacked by a criminal ring under FBI investigation, according to TMZ.

The personal digital files of Christina Aguilera, Demi Lovato, Miley Cyrus and others were also hit by the hackers, according to a growing list of possibly compromised actresses compiled by TMZ.

It’s believed that 50 female celebrities might be involved.

Vanessa Hudgens reportedly met with the FBI yesterday about the nude photos allegedly hacked from her Gmail account.

The actress spoke with federal investigators for more than an hour at her lawyer’s office in Los Angeles, and it’s believed the person who hacked into Hudgens’ email leads a ring of hackers who have targeted dozens of A-list celebrities, according to TMZ.

Now the site has released what it claims to be a “partial list” of stars who may have had compromising material stolen.

Miley Cyrus, Scarlett Johansson, Busy Phillips, Ali Larter, Renee Olstead, Emma Caulfield and Addison Timlin are also named.

More naked pictures of Vanessa Hudgens have surfaced online from the same private session of racy self-photography she staged a few years ago, and the actress is “deeply upset and angered” by it, says her attorney.

The more explicit shots have begun to appear on various gossip sites.

It isn’t the first time the actress has been seen in the buff.

Back in 2009, Hudgens sued one site for posting topless photos without her “knowledge or consent.”

Hudgens attorney, Christopher Wong, tells Gossip Cop, Vanessa is deeply upset and angered that these old photos, which were taken years ago, continue to resurface. It is particularly disturbing that whoever got hold of these private photos seems to be intent on illegally leaking them out over a long period of time.”

The lawyer added, “We are actively working with law enforcement to determine who is responsible and hold them accountable for their actions.”

The Matt Damon-Emily Blunt sci-fi action flick, The Adjustment Bureau, came in second with $20.9 in ticket sales.

And in third place was Beastly, starring Vanessa Hudgens and Alex Pettyfer, which  made $10.1 million.

Hall Pass and Gnomeo & Juliet came in fourth and fifth place with $9 million and $6.9 million, respectively.

“Zac Efron stunned onlookers at a recent Hollywood event when he held hands and even flirted right under the nose of ex-girlfriend, Vanessa Hudgens – and it was with a GUY!” begins a piece in the National Enquirer.

According to a so-called “eyewitness” for the tabloid, the High School Musical star “got cozy with a buff young man” during an NBA party at the W Hotel in L.A. on February 18.

“I was shocked at how relaxed and open Zac was with this guy,” continues the supposed witness, adding that Efron “seemed really into” the young man.

If the notion of Efron being all over an unidentified man in such a public situation but being seen only by the Enquirer‘s alleged source sounds a bit off, that’s because the (imaginary) “eyewitness” concocted the entire thing.

A source close to Efron tells Gossip Cop, “It’s bullsh*t.”

Maybe even the Enquirer knew the story wasn’t true – the tab made a point of noting that Efron himself has “laughed off” questions in the past about his sexual preferences.

Zac Efron may have moved on from Vanessa Hudgens, who he hooked up with last month following their split in December.

The actor joined Teresa Palmer at a screening of her film Take Me Home Tonight on February 3.

We’re told at the film’s after-party at the L.A. restaurant Pink Taco, Palmer and Efron held hands and “seemed happy to be with each other” while they ate dinner, says an eyewitness.

But they didn’t call it a night after dinner.

It’s too early to say for sure, and their reps aren’t talking, but the couple, who broke up in December, sure looked like their old selves last night at the opening of the L.A. club Eden.

Several sources confirm to Gossip Cop that Efron and Hudgens were “making out” at the nightclub.

According to a source, “They’re danced together, held hands…They were affectionate. It was sweet.”

Adds another partygoer, “Later [in the evening], they were making out.” The same source says they were sitting at a table and kissing, “but it wasn’t like they were trying to hide anything.”
