Another film was on every Twilight Saga fan’s lips today when rumors went wide that the first Eclipse trailer would be attached to this weekend’s opening of Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief.

The buzz began on message boards and wound up on PerezHilton.com and other major sites. But, just like previous Eclipse teaser rumors from IMDB, today’s is wrong.

People have flooded Gossip Cop with questions about whether the release date for “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” has been pushed back.

Concern seems to come from the lack of a trailer, as well as some inaccurate previews of the upcoming year in movies. CNN’s, for instance, lists “Eclipse” as arriving in theaters in July.

Early this morning we started receiving frenzied tips hinting that “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” had test screened for an audience.

The rumors sounded dubious, but Gossip Cop wanted to be sure.

This June “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” arrives in theaters, but Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are scheduled for a very big 2010 even beyond their blockbuster vampire series. Two of Young Hollywood’s brightest stars have numerous movies slated to be released or produced in the coming months, and Gossip Cop was curious to know what Pattinson and Stewart fans were most excited to see.

Over the weekend many tipsters pointed Gossip Cop to online rumblings of a trailer for “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.” It appears rumors (and descriptions) of a finished teaser started on IMDB, eventually making their way to fan sites and gossip pages.
