Tracy Morgan is OK!

After falling ill and being taken to the hospital following an event at the Sundance Film Festival on Sunday, Morgan tweeted that he’s back on his feet and heading to work.

It turns out altitude sickness was the culprit.

“Superman ran into a little kyrptonite,” wrote Morgan on Monday.

He explains, “The high altitude in Utah shook up this kid from Brooklyn.”

“Thank U 2 the hospital staff. Back at work 2morrow shooting 30 Rock,” added the comedian.

Gossip Cop busted the initial reports claiming that Morgan was intoxicated.

Tracy Morgan was rushed to a hospital on Sunday night shortly after being honored at the Creative Coalition Spotlight Awards in Park City, Utah.

An initial report from TMZ claimed the “30 Rock” star “appeared extremely intoxicated” during a speech he gave at the event at the Sundance Film Festival, and noted that after being “escorted out of the building,” Morgan “fell unconscious.”

But Morgan was NOT drunk.

A spokesperson for Park City Medical Center later confirmed there were no drugs or booze in Morgan’s system.

And Morgan’s rep tells Gossip Cop that the comedian’s condition was a result of “a combination of exhaustion and altitude,” adding, “Any reports of Tracy consuming alcohol are 100% false.”

As you’ll recall, Tracy Morgan went off on an anti-gay rant in Nashville last June.

He then apologized, and in an exclusive statement to Gossip Cop said, “I want to apologize to my fans and the gay & lesbian community for my choice of words at my recent stand-up act in Nashville… this clearly went too far and was not funny in any context.”

Morgan even met with homeless, gay teens, and later returned to Nashville to personally say he was sorry.

While in Nashville, Morgan said, “I want to apologize to my friends, my family and my fans, and everyone in every community who was offended… From the bottom of my heart… I apologize.”

But judging from his appearance on “Late Show with David Letterman” on Monday, the “30 Rock” star now believes it was just all a “big misunderstanding.”

Though the talk show host gave Morgan every opportunity to again say he was “sorry,” the comedian didn’t take the bait.

Morgan claimed he couldn’t even recall what he said to offend the Nashville audience. The comedian explained, “I can’t remember… that was maybe 50 shows ago.

Tracy Morgan was back onstage last night in New York, the first time since his homophobic rant in Nashville a little more than three weeks ago.

Just five days after the “30 Rock” star returned to Nashville to personally apologize for his anti-gay comments, Morgan told the audience at Caroline’s comedy club, “I’m mellow tonight.”

Hardly.

Morgan spewed a series of raw jokes about masturbation, female body parts, and oral sex.

Then, three-quarters of an hour in, Morgan stopped and said, “I know you’re waiting for me to address the controversy. I ain’t sayin’ s–t.”

Still, at the end of the show, which was warmly received, Morgan told the crowd:  “Gay, straight… I don’t care. As long as you’re happy.”

Tracy Morgan returned to Nashville today and formally apologized for anti-gay jokes he made during his stand-up show there on June 3.

“I want to apologize to my friends, my family and my fans, and everyone in every community who was offended with this,” said Morgan.

“I didn’t know. I didn’t mean it… I don’t have a hateful bone in my body,” continued the comedian. “I don’t believe that anyone should be bullied or just made to feel bad about who they are.”

Morgan also said that he prides himself on using stand-up “to heal” people, not “to hurt.”

“From the bottom of my heart… I apologize.”

Morgan’s June 3 rant drew outrage from gay rights organizations, particularly the comment that he’d “pull out a knife and stab” his son to death if he were homosexual.

The “30 Rock” star later apologized for going “too far” and stressed that he’s “not a hateful person.”

Last week, Morgan spoke with homeless gay teenagers in New York at a meeting coordinated by GLAAD.

Tracy Morgan met with homeless gay teenagers in New York today in the wake of his recent homophobic rant during a comedy set in Nashville.

On June 3, the comedian sparked outrage after joking that he’d kill his son if he were homosexual. Afterward, Morgan apologized for going “too far” and said he wasn’t a “hateful person.”

Today, the “30 Rock” star spoke with victims of anti-gay violence during a sit-down coordinated by GLAAD at The Ali Forney Center, which provides services for displaced LGBT youths.

Jayden Love and Raciel Castillo, young people forced to the streets after coming out of the closet, shared their stories with Morgan.

The comedian will return to Tennessee on June 21 to apologize in person to those he offended and to meet with local gay rights organizations.

Chris Rock came to the defense of Tracy Morgan after news emerged that the “30 Rock” star went on a violent homophobic rant while performing in Nashville.

Morgan later apologized for his inappropriate remarks, which included him saying he’d “stab” his son if his child were gay.

Still, Rock tweeted his support for Morgan: “I dont know about you, but I dont want to live in world where Tracy Morgan cant say foul inappropriate s**t.”

But now Rock has changed his stance.

“The Motherf**ker With the Hat” star has since written: “Tracy morgan is a tad off we all know that so when tracy says something i usually don’t take it anymore serious than i would a statement from gary busey or flavor flav .when i first heard the statement i thought it was offensive but it also reminded me of my father saying ill kill you if you ever bring home a white girl but after reading everything tracy said . wow i get it that shit wasn’t called for and i don’t support it at all. now can i please go to the tony awards [tonight] without getting my a** kicked.”

Tina Fey has responded to her “30 Rock” co-star/employee Tracy Morgan‘s anti-gay rant during a recent stand-up comedy performance.

Among other things, Morgan joked about stabbing his son to death if he came out of the closet.

He later apologized, saying his jokes “went too far.”

Fey, a longtime supporter of the gay and lesbian community, says “the violent imagery of Tracy’s rant was disturbing,” but also stressed, “It doesn’t line up with the Tracy Morgan I know, who is not a hateful man and is generally much too sleepy and self-centered to ever hurt another person.”

She also made the point of gently reminding Morgan that his job is inextricably linked to the community he attacked during his act.

“I hope for his sake that Tracy’s apology will be accepted as sincere by his gay and lesbian coworkers 30 Rock, without whom Tracy would not have lines to say, clothes to wear, sets to stand on, scene partners to act with, or a printed-out paycheck from accounting to put in his pocket.”

“The other producers and I pride ourselves on 30 Rock being a diverse, safe, and fair workplace.”

Tracy Morgan reportedly went on a violent, homophobic rant during a performance in Nashville on June 3.

According to multiple reports, the “30 Rock” star made a series of blistering jokes about gays and lesbians, slamming their complaints of being bullied and arguing that homosexuality is a choice.

Morgan allegedly said from the stage, “Gays need to quit being p**sies and not be whining about something as insignificant as bullying… [homosexuality] is something that kids learn from the media and programming.”

At one point, according to an alleged eyewitness account, Morgan discussed what he’d do if his son tells him he’s gay.

“I’ll pull out a knife and stab that little n**ger to death,” Morgan is said to have joked.

He also allegedly claimed women are only lesbians because they hate men.

A person in the audience who later posted a summary of Morgan’s rant to Facebook says between 10 and 15 members of the crowd walked out during the comedian’s rant.

The organization Truth Wins Out is demanding a response both from Morgan and his “30 Rock” boss Tina Fey, who’s been a longtime supporter of gay and lesbian causes.

As of now, Morgan’s camp has declined to comment.

RadarOnline claims that Tracy Morgan, who recently underwent a kidney transplant, “shocked fans and media by admitting just last week it was his ex, Tanisha Hall, who gave him one of her kidneys, despite the fact he left her for another woman.”

The site built its story around “exclusive” quotes from Morgan’s brother, James, and mom, Alicia Warden, who both said they were unaware that the “30 Rock” star needed a transplant.

“I just found out on the Internet last month that he had the operation,” said his brother James. And his mom added, “He didn’t tell me about anything… Someone came and told me they saw it on the Internet, so I was just as shocked.”

Well, there’s good reason they didn’t know. Morgan and his relatives have been estranged for some time – and frankly they probably shouldn’t be commenting on his life.

Gossip Cop, however, has the real story directly from Morgan, who did NOT leave Hall for another woman after he received a kidney from her. The couple broke up well before the operation.

Morgan tells us exclusively, “While I rarely engage in the rumor mill, the erroneous article on radaronline.com is disrespectful to those who have been so generous to me in a time of need and I feel obligated to set the record straight.”

“It saddens me that my estranged family felt the need to discuss my very personal situation without any facts, but the reality is that Tanisha Hall and I ended our relationship in October and have remained good friends. She was loving enough to give me one of her kidneys for the transplant I needed and I am forever grateful to her and her family for their support.”

Just days after Morgan called the vice presidential candidate “good masturbation material” on TNT’s “Inside the NBC,” prompting the network to later apologize, the “30 Rock” was at it again.

After an interview on the red carpet at the SAG Awards with Guliana Rancic of E!, the “30 Rock” star added for no reason at all, “Sarah Palin, you’re the hottest MILF in the world!”

Following a confused look by Rancic, Morgan repeated, “She’s a MILF!”

TNT has issued an apology for Tracy Morgan‘s vulgar remark about Sarah Palin on last night’s “Inside the NBA” pregame show.

During the live broadcast, co-hosts Charles Barkley and Kenny Smith asked the “30 Rock” star who was better looking - Tina Fey or Sarah Palin?

“Yo, let me tell you something about Sarah Palin. She’s good masturbation material,” Morgan responded.

Co-host Ernie Johnson then quickly cut off the comedian by saying, “I want to thank Tracy Morgan for stopping by.”

Today the network issued an apology: ”It’s unfortunate Mr. Morgan showed a lack of judgment on our air with his inappropriate comments. We apologize for any embarrassment or offense it may have caused.”

Tracy Morgan has had a kidney transplant, Gossip Cop confirms.

The “30 Rock” star had a successful operation earlier this month.

“Tracy is doing well and taking some much needed time to recover after the surgery. He is looking forward to going back to work after the holidays,” a rep for the comedian tells us.

Morgan will miss 2 to 3 episodes scheduled to air in March.

Gossip Cop wishes him the best on a speedy and full recovery.

Jon Stewart will once again host Comedy Central’s celeb-studded “Night Of Too Many Stars: An Overbooked Concert For Autism Education.”

Ricky Gervais, Tina Fey, Larry David, Stephen Colbert are among the huge roster of stars expected to participate in the event, the network announced on Thursday.

The two-hour event airs on October 21.

“Night Of Too Many Stars” will be built around a comedy concert in New York featuring Steve Carell, Jimmy Fallon, Tracy Morgan, Chris Rock, Joel McHale and many others.

The evening features live performances, sketches and short films.

A Los Angeles phone bank for donations, meanwhile, will be manned by celebrities including Jimmy Kimmel, Jim Parsons, Sofia Vergara and Bryan Cranston.

“30 Rock” has always been about a “Saturday Night Live”-type show, but now it’s taking it to the next level.

The sitcom will broadcast a special live episode on October 14, it was announced today during NBC’s TCA Press Tour presentation.

In fact, the show will be performed live twice - once for broadcast on the East Coast, and a second time for the West Coast.

Tina Fey, Alec Baldwin, Tracy Morgan — all veterans of live TV — will return with the rest of the crew for another season on September 23.

After a back-and-forth battle that lasted into Monday, Kick-Ass has emerged victorious over surprise performer How To Train Your Dragon… by a very narrow margin.

A late Sunday surge landed Kick-Ass in the #1 spot for the weekend with $19.8 million. In its fourth week of release, Dragon scared up $19.6 million.

Almost as close was the race for #3, with holdover Date Night ($17.3 million) beating newcomer Death At A Funeral ($17 million).

The weekend is heading to another close finish at the box office, and fourth-week release How To Train Your Dragon may come back to beat the debuts of Kick-Ass and Death At a Funeral for #1.

With estimates giving the animated flick an $8.7 million Saturday, it now projects to a $20 million weekend, which would move it ahead of Kick-Ass ($19M) and Death ($16.5M).

Meanwhile, holdover Date Night could place at #3, with Tina Fey beating “30 Rock” buddy Tracy Morgan, one of Death at a Funeral‘s stars.

These totals are still just estimates, however. Gossip Cop will have an update later.

The very first box office estimates are in for this weekend, and Kick-Ass is in the lead.

Featuring unconventional teenage “superheroes,” the comic book adaptation’s (estimated) $7.5 million Friday projects to a $19 million weekend.

That total would place ahead of another new release, Death At A Funeral, with $6 million in estimated receipts on Friday and $17.5 million expected for the weekend.

Both films were predicted to perform a bit better.

Rounding out the Top 5 are holdovers Date Night, Clash of the Titans, and How To Train Your Dragon.

Again, these are just very early estimates. Gossip Cop will continue to track the box office as it comes into focus.

Leonardo DiCaprio appears to have fended off Bruce Willis and a bunch of crazies.

According to box office projections, Shutter Island, last week’s #1 and the best opening of DiCaprio’s career, will stay in the top spot this weekend with roughly $21 million.

This week’s two big debuts are estimated to round out the top 3. Cop Out, starring Willis and Tracy Morgan, projects to an $18.5 million haul, while small town horror flick The Crazies is expected to take in about $15 million.

Box office machine Avatar will pass $700 million in North America, coming in ahead of movies released nearly two months after it hit theaters.

“Jessie Catherine Fuller and Peyton Brodnax DeWitt Rodgers were married Saturday at the Players in Manhattan,” reads the beginning of a New York Times wedding announcement today, featuring the newlyweds – and Will Ferrell?!

Yes, that’s funnyman Will Ferrell crashing the photo accompanying their wedding announcement.

There’s an explanation: The groom, known as “Buck,” is currently a production assistant on the movie, “The Other Guys,” which stars Mark Wahlberg and Ferrell, who decided to make a cameo in the Times photo.

The couple met last March as production assistants on the upcoming film, “When in Rome,” and then worked together again on “A Couple of Dicks,” starring Bruce Willis and Tracy Morgan.
