There’s renewed speculation that Halle Berry is engaged to Olivier Martinez in light of reported aspects to her ongoing custody battle with Gabriel Aubry.

Berry is allegedly asking a judge for permission to move to France with her three-year-old daughter Nahla and Martinez.

According to TMZ, an engagement would make Berry’s petition to move out of the country with Nahla stronger in the eyes of the judge.

The site says that she and Martinez became engaged sometime this year, after widespread reports of an engagement made the rounds in December when Berry was spotted with a massive emerald-and-diamond ring from Martinez.

Those rumors were never confirmed.

An allegedly over-aggressive photographer was arrested at Los Angeles International Airport on Monday after getting into an altercation with a bodyguard for Justin Bieber.

The young singer was reportedly making his way out of LAX when the paparazzo allegedly refused to stop taking pictures and move out of the way of his group’s vehicle.

When Bieber’s bodyguard stepped in, the photog allegedly tried to fight the bodyguard, only to ultimately be knocked out instead.

The paparazzo was detained until the police arrived, while the bodyguard was left with visible injuries.

The photographer was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon, according to TMZ.

A rep for Bieber has not yet responded to a request for comment.

Khloe Kardashian is striking back against the transgender woman who is suing the reality star for assault.

Chantal Spears (also known as Ronald Spears) alleged in a lawsuit filed in December that Kardashian caused her significant injuries after an altercation outside Playhouse nightclub in 2009.

In the court papers, Spears claimed Kardashian “pushed” and “hit” her, though no arrests or citations were made.

Now in her own filing, Kardashian says her behavior “was reasonably necessary for her self-defense and safety,” according to TMZ.

The incident reportedly occurred after Spears approached Kardashian’s husband, Lamar Odom, telling him he was “too young to be married.”

Spears is suing Kardashian for damages.

It is not yet known whether the case will go to trial.

Brandi Glanville may have fond memories of her “week of fun” with Gerard Butler… but the actor is drawing a blank.

Earlier this week, the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star told “What What Happens Live” host Andy Cohen that she’d hooked up with Butler.

But when a TMZ cameraman mentioned to Butler that Glanville had rated him an “11 out of 10 in the lovemaking department,” the actor seemed confused.

The mother of a “Toddlers & Tiaras” star is suing media outlets for allegedly “sexualizing” an online story about the 5-year-old girl.

In a lawsuit filed Tuesday in a Manhattan court, Isabella Barrett’s mother Susanna claims The Huffington Post and other sites posted a video of the toddler singing LMFAO’s “I’m Sexy And I Know It” and described the little girl as “gyrating in a nightclub and singing about her sex appeal.”

Susanna argues that it was a deejay who encouraged her daughter to mimic some dance moves, and that the media wrongly portrayed her as being erotic.

“She did not understand the concept of sex, let alone ‘sex appeal’ and could not have been singing about her own sex appeal,” claim the court papers.

The suit, which also names TMZ and the Daily Mail as defendants, says the portrayals have caused Isabella to be “perceived sexually, erotically and pornographically,” placing her “in serious physical danger, attracting the attention of others who would seek to sexualize a child.”

The lawsuit also alleges that the outlets caused the young reality star’s Glitzy Girl jewelry line to lose funding and a contract for another series.

The Barretts are seeking $30 million in damages, according to the New York Daily News.

The fact that Chris Brown and Rihanna partied at the same L.A. club on Sunday night has many gossip sites in a tizzy.

After TMZ hyped that their both being at Greystone Manor “fueled growing rumors they’re back together,” MediaTakeOut went a step further, reporting that Brown’s girlfriend, Karrueche Tran, and Rihanna nearly had a physical altercation.

MTO claims Tran “confronted” Rihanna at the supper club, and “the two nearly STARTED FIGHTING!!!!”

According to a so-called “insider,” the model is “upset with Rihanna – for her BLATANT SHOTS at Chris Brown in her newest video ['We Found Love'].”

And Tran supposedly “believes that Rihanna WOULD LIKE to get back with Chris Brown,” adds the source.

MediaFakeOut then says Tran and Rihanna “GOT IN EACH OTHERS [sic] FACES” at the venue, quoting an alleged witness as saying, “[Chris and Kae] were on one side of the VIP and Rihanna was on the other. At one point Rihanna walked over, and Kae stepped to her.”

Adds their sight-impaired “insider”: “Before anything could truly POP OFF, Rihanna’s bodyguards came to her rescue, and moved Kae and her girls AWAY from RIH!!!”

“And that was GOOD for Kae,” chimes in MTO, noting, “Rihanna was prepared to WHOOP KARRUECHE’S AZZ!!”

Whoa, that sounds pretty dramatic… and completely made up.

A rep for Greystone Manor tells Gossip Cop exclusively, ”The report is false.”

Brian Austin Green has reportedly filed a lawsuit against ex-girlfriend Vanessa Marcil, the mother of his 9-year-old son, over an unpaid $200,000 loan.

Green, who started dating Marcil when they worked together on “Beverly Hills, 90210,” claims he initially lent the actress $50,000 back in 2000.

The actor says he went on to give Marcil an additional $150,000 with the understanding she would pay him back when asked at a later date.

Nine years after their split, Green says he hasn’t received a dime, even though he asked for his money in November.

Green, now married to Megan Fox, is suing Marcil for the $200,000 she allegedly owes, plus unspecified damages, according to TMZ.

Gossip Cop has reached out to reps for Green and Marcil for comment.

An unwanted visitor was arrested outside Lindsay Lohan’s home on New Year’s Day.

The man, identified as 64-year-old Lonnie Short, knocked on the door of Lohan’s Venice Beach condo Sunday night and insisted he needed to talk to the actress.

When Lohan asked Short to leave, he allegedly refused.

The police later arrived and arrested Short for trespassing, Gossip Cop confirms.

In May, Lohan was granted a restraining order against alleged stalker David Cocordan, who had harassed her for two years.

A former nanny for the Kardashian family is reportedly shopping a tell-all book about the reality clan before they were famous.

Pam Behan, who for years worked as a nanny, cook and personal assistant to Kris and Bruce Jenner, trashes Jenner’s sons Brody and Brandon in the book, and also promises to spill secrets about Kim and Kourtney, according to TMZ.

Behan reportedly writes that the Jenner boys were “extremely spoiled and disrespectful,” and claims she was almost fired for slapping Brandon on one occasion.

She describes her relationship with Kardashian matriarch Kris as “love/hate,” and supposedly plans to reveal “intimate details” about the Kardashian daughters.

Behan is said to have pitched the tell-all to some top literary agents, but it’s not yet known whether she’s landed a deal.

Gossip Cop reached out to reps for the Kardashian family for comment.

If the clan’s reaction when they mistakenly thought Jonathan Cheban was writing a tell-all about Kim is any indication, Behan should be prepared for a fight.

Maria Shriver is having “second thoughts” about divorcing Arnold Schwarzenegger, according to TMZ.

The site claims Shriver is telling people she’s reconsidering the decision, due in part to a religious aversion to divorce.

She and Schwarzenegger split last spring after she learned that he’d fathered a love child with onetime housekeeper Mildred Baena.

Shriver filed for divorce back on July 1 and promptly bought a mansion.

Gossip Cop is looking into the claim that she’s now pondering a reconciliation with Schwarzenegger.

On Friday, TMZ praised Pink for an incredible act of charity, but she wasn’t exactly filled with Christmas love for the site itself.

Here’s what happened.

After the singer saw a horrifying story about a puppy that had been thrown from an overpass in Los Angeles and left for dead, Pink contacted the Ace of Hearts animal rescue group and offered to pay the $5,000 needed for emergency, life-saving treatment.

Now the adorable Stella is on the mend, thanks to Pink’s act of kindness.

TMZ published a couple of posts about the story, and all was fine until the site’s chief, Harvey Levin, tweeted a question.

“I think @pink did great by saving dog,” wrote Levin. “But there’s a debate. Spend 5k on 1 dog that’s really sick or use $$$ to rescue 10 dogs w/ food, etc.”

Pink, who hates the paparazzi almost as much as she loves animals, had a quick reply.

She wrote, “@HarveyLevinTMZ I do both actually. at least I don’t spend my money employing criminals to go+harass people. Maybe you should save something?”

Ouch.

Let’s just say Levin probably shouldn’t expect Pink to foot the bill if he ever needs surgery.

In the dramatic final moments before Rachel Crow was eliminated from “The X Factor,” Paula Abdul advised an indecisive Nicole Scherzinger to “just let it go to the deadlock.”

Before the video came to light, however, clueless webloid HollywoodLife was busying itself with bizarre theories about how Scherzinger “intentionally sabotaged” Crow by not voting, knowing “America would kick her off!”

The site seemed to be under the false impression that Scherzinger was choosing between Crow and her own protégée, Josh Krajcik.

In reality, it was Crow versus Marcus Canty.

Either way, the decision was Scherzinger’s – and the ultimate vote was America’s.

Kris Humphries is rumored to be “livid” over the Kim Kardashian questions in his “Good Morning America” interview on Friday – but the controversy looks to be mostly embellished.

TMZ claims Humphries is “telling people he felt ambushed” during the sit-down, when he addressed his very public split from Kardashian during a joint appearance with his mother, Debra.

Humphries “knew he would be asked about the divorce… but he didn’t expect to be grilled like a cheeseburger,” explains the site, adding that the NBA player appeared “VERY uncomfortable as he’s hit with question after question about Kim.”

But watching the interview, it seems like Humphries was anything but blindsided by the Kardashian questions.

He was about as thrilled as anyone would be to discuss a pending, ugly divorce, and handled the interview pretty well.

We’re told he was perfectly fine with how it went down, and as his rep asks Gossip Cop, “Why would he be livid?”

He sure didn’t seem “livid” with ABC while baking cookies after his interview.

“Celebrity Apprentice” winner John Rich was reportedly kicked off a Southwest flight from Las Vegas to Nashville on Sunday morning for being too intoxicated to fly.

According to TMZ, the country singer got in a verbal confrontation with passengers prior to boarding the plane, and then continued to exhibit drunken behavior once he was seated on the aircraft.

Rich is said to have been cooperative, however, when crew members asked him to leave the plane.

A rep for Southwest confirms to Gossip Cop that such an incident occurred, but would not release the passenger’s name.

The rep says, “Our crew assessed the situation and determined that the passenger was not fit for travel,” explaining, “If we can mitigate an uncomfortable situation prior to departure, it is our preference to do so and that is what happened in this scenario.”

Adds the spokesperson, “The customer was immediately rebooked on a later Southwest flight out of Las Vegas, but chose to make alternative travel arrangements.”

The former “Big & Rich” crooner tweeted on Saturday that he was headed from Los Angeles to Las Vegas to perform a show.

Johnny Depp‘s bodyguards allegedly roughed up a middle-aged woman named Robyn Ecker at an Iggy Pop concert in L.A. on Thursday at L.A.’s Palladium.

According to Ecker’s police report, she and her husband had seats next to Depp, and while dancing at the concert — which was a birthday gift to her husband — the 52-year-old woman invaded the actor’s space.

That’s when Depp’s bodyguards grabbed her arms and wrestled her to the ground, says Ecker, who may have had a cocktail too many.

After the incident, Ecker went to a local hospital to get checked out.

While Depp was not personally involved in the alleged takedown, Gossip Cop is reaching out to his rep for the actor’s account of the incident.

News of Ecker’s run-in with the Pirates of Caribbean star’s bodyguards was first reported by TMZ.

Katy Perry and Russell Brand are NOT getting divorced.

A number of outlets are citing a phantom “TMZ report” that supposedly pointed to the couple filing for divorce.

Without corroborating this non-existent item, several sites on both sides of the Atlantic circulated the rumor, which, of course, gave it more credibility than warranted.

It’s not true.

While speculation about their future is rampant, sources close to the couple tell Gossip Cop the talk of them splitting imminently is baseless.

More importantly, both Perry and Brand have publicly dismissed the rumor.

Brand told Ellen DeGeneres during an appearance on her show on Friday that the rumor was completely made up, saying, “I am really happily married.”

And Perry laughed off the speculation on Twitter, writing, “First I’m pregnant & then I’m divorced. What am I All My Children?!”

Samantha Ronson‘s garage was broken into on Monday night.

Right now it’s unknown what was – or wasn’t – stolen.

The burglars, however, did not make it inside Ronson’s Venice, California house, reports TMZ.

Gossip Cop reached out to the LAPD for a comment, but was told they’re still awaiting more information.

We’ll update when more details emerge.

Ronson has not addressed the burglary on Twitter.

Marie Osmond was rushed to the hospital after her Las Vegas show on Wednesday night.

The performer was diagnosed with a severe case of bronchitis, and was released after a few hours of examinations.

It’s not yet known whether her condition will affect her variety show with her brother Donny Osmond.

Dina Lohan

According to TMZ, Dina is shopping a book in which she exposes her daughter’s “dark secrets,” supposedly “blowing the lid off of Lindsay’s alleged drug and alcohol use.”

But Dina tells Gossip Cop exclusively that the story is a “total lie.”

“I would NEVER do a negative book about my child,” she continues, saying that “when and if” she does a book, it will be “all positive.”

Lindsay, of course, is facing the media glare this week without her mother’s help, having had her probation revoked and then failing to show for work at the L.A. County Morgue.

“Jersey Shore” star Deena Cortese got into a heated exchange at The Alchemy nightclub in New Haven, Connecticut over the weekend.

TMZ reported that she was upset after being asked to leave the VIP area.

As evidenced in the video below, Cortese was none too pleased at the end of her stint at the club, yelling at an unidentified man and calling him a “scumbag” and a “disgusting old man.”

Cortese, however, disputes initial reports that the guy who asked her to move was a club employee with authority to do so.

Via her rep, Cortese tells Gossip Cop, “The staff had mentioned that he was the owner’s brother,” not a bouncer or staffer.

She also says that she was mostly upset by the guy’s behavior, because he had ”younger girls around him and was feeding them drinks.”

Cortese claims the staff at The Alchemy was happy about how she stood up to the owner’s brother, telling us “they had been waiting for someone to put the guy in his place.”

She says that the applause at the end of the video is further evidence that she was in the right.

Gossip Cop has reached out to the L.A. police department to confirm the report, and will update when we find out more.

A number of celebrities have offered their condolences, including the actress Sheryl Lee Ralph, who tweeted, “I am so deeply saddened at the passing of my diva friend Vesta Williams. RIP Vesta.”

“Our dear sister and one of the sangiest diva’s ever, vesta williams, has passed away. I loved that sister,” wrote comedian Sinbad.

Kimora Lee Simmons also responded to the news on Twitter, posting, “R.I.P. Ms. Vesta Williams. Wht a tremendous talent + great soul! ‘Cuz as long as I can breathe, you’ll always be the one~for me!”

“Just received truly devastating news: R&B great, and my friend of many yrs, Vesta Williams (@vesta4u), has passed away,” wrote Jackée Harry.

Williams rose to success in the 1980s. Her 1988 album, “Vesta 4U,” produced multiple R&B Top 10 hits, including “Congratulations” and “Sweet, Sweet Love.”

Chaz Bono will reportedly have special security to protect him against possible harm on “Dancing with the Stars.”

There haven’t been any specific threats made against Bono, who was born a woman but is now a transgendered man, but ABC is taking the added precaution because of the controversy sparked by his casting on the show.

He’ll have protection when he’s filming the show as well as when he’s off the set, according to TMZ.

A spokeswoman for the show tells Gossip Cop, “We never comment on security.”

Last season, the network provided security for Bristol Palin and Mark Ballas after they received death threats upon making it into the show’s final round.

Kim Kardashian is making yet another reality show, except this time she’ll be behind the camera.

Kardashian has reportedly signed on to executive produce a Pussycat Dolls reality show, featuring a brand new group of performers.

The series will document the launch of the new singing-dancing troupe, according to TMZ.

“American Idol” producer Nigel Lythgoe is developing the show.

SpongeBob SquarePants should probably stick to the sea.

The underwater pineapple dweller ventured onto Hollywood Boulevard this week – and promptly got into a fight with two combative young ladies.

It’s not known what prompted the incident between the women and the SpongeBob impersonator, but there were no reported injuries and, while cops questioned the sponge, there were no arrests.

Hollywood Boulevard is famous for having costumed performers pose with tourists and request money.

We hope this is the last time the recession forces SpongeBob into a street fight.

Rihanna will join the new U.S. version of “The X Factor” as a guest judge, Gossip Cop has learned.

The singer will be brought on the show by judge L.A. Reid, who signed Rihanna to his label back in 2005, to help him decide which contestants to mentor.

Rihanna performed on the U.K. version of the singing competition in June, and according to TMZ, she was a big hit with the show’s executive producer and judge, Simon Cowell.

Along with Cowell and Reid, the judges include Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul.

Mariah Carey will also be part of the series, although the exact nature of her role is not yet known.

The show premieres on Wednesday, September 21.

“Jennifer Lopez & Bradley Cooper Go on a Dinner Date,” reads the headline of a TMZ piece that goes on to say that Lopez seems to be “moving on from hubby Marc Anthony in a big way.”

According to the site, Lopez and Cooper went to dinner on Saturday at the ultra-expensive New York restaurant, Per Se, and their meal was “just the two of them” and “romantic.”

A rep for Lopez, however, tells Gossip Cop it was not a date, and that “they are in discussions regarding a project.”

Chris Brown just cleared a legal hurdle, with 95 of the 117 parking tickets against him reportedly dismissed.

The performer was facing roughly $15,000 in parking violations, mostly for leaving his car in spots that appeared to be reserved for disabled drivers in a Los Angeles condo lot.

But it turns out the spaces were assigned to Brown’s apartment after all, meaning he’s OK as far as the City of West Hollywood is concerned, according to TMZ.

That said, he still has 22 citations that have not been erased.

Of course, since Brown can fly, he probably doesn’t even need to be messing with cars in the first place.

“Denise Richards has turned down an offer to appear on the premiere episode of ’Two and a Half Men,’ because she thinks Charlie Sheen would make her life miserable,” claims TMZ.

According to the site, “Producers offered Denise a guest starring role for the debut with Ashton Kutcher, but they say she told them she wouldn’t do it because ‘She would never hear the end of it from Charlie.’”

Really?

Well, yes and no.

While Gossip Cop can confirm that the show offered her a role and “she passed,” a source close to Richards tells us it’s “not true” she turned down the guest spot because she Sheen would make her life “miserable,” and she would “never hear the end of it from Charlie.”

Ashton Kutcher debuted in front of the “Two and a Half Men” cameras last night, as he taped the first post-Charlie Sheen episode, a season premiere featuring the funeral of Sheen’s Charlie Harper character.

It’s been revealed that Kutcher’s character, an Internet billionaire named Walden Schmidt, buys the late Harper’s Malibu house, where the sitcom mostly takes place.

Other details about the episode’s story have been kept secret, with scenes reportedly being shot out of sequence and in multiple takes to preserve the mystery.

Series creator and Sheen nemesis Chuck Lorre has not revealed how Harper dies on the show.

There will be a number of big names at the faux funeral, including Jenny McCarthy and John Stamos, according to TMZ.

The premiere on September 19 coincides with the broadcast of Sheen’s Comedy Central roast.
