James Franco has signed on to play the title role in Disney’s ‘Oz: The Great and Powerful,’ a prequel to ‘The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.’
The film tells the story from the Wizard’s point of view, and chronicles how he arrived in Oz and became its ruler.
