The nation’s connoisseurs of stupid stunts have claimed this weekend’s top spot with Jackass 3D.

Johnny Knoxville and his ragtag crew of daredevils brought in an astounding $50 million at the box office.

Action-comedy Red, starring Bruce Willis, Helen Mirren and Morgan Freeman, took the #2 spot with $22.5 million.

And slipping from first place to third is The Social Network, which brought in $11 million.

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner’s marriage is “hanging by a thread,” according to the always reliable (cough) National Enquirer.

The tabloid claims the couple is leading “increasingly separate lives” due to their busy schedules and “seem to have been drifting apart for months.”

‘Life As We Know It,’ starring Josh Duhamel and Katherine Heigl as a mismatched couple raising their friends’ tyke, came in a close second with $14.6 million, and ‘Secretariat’ finished in third place for the Columbus Day weekend crown with $12.6 million.

Coming in second is the animated Legend Of The Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole with $10.5 million, while last week’s winner, Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps, starring Michael Douglas, Shia LaBeouf, and Carey Mulligan came in third with$10.2 million.
