The Sun claims Hollywood’s new favorite leading man Michael Fassbender “was asked to leave the afterparty of his own film, A Dangerous Method,” in London on Tuesday night.

How come?

A so-called “source” for the paper says, ”He was grabbing his co-stars and waltzing around the room with them. He lit a cigarette indoors and that was the point it had gone too far.”

Adds the alleged witness, ”Michael was politely asked to leave. He was in good spirits but it was becoming a bit of a handful for the other guests.”

The Sun notes, “His co-stars Keira Knightley and Viggo Mortensen looked a bit uncomfortable with his antics.”

Really?

Not. At. All.

Despite the fact that Fassbender did rely on the help of a friend to make his way out of the bash, he was in no way asked to leave.

A rep for Fassbender, who was actually at the party, tells Gossip Cop the story is “incorrect.”

And GQ editor Olivia Cole, whose magazine hosted the bash, blasted the rumor on Twitter, calling the tale ”complete fiction.”

Cole added, “We were glad he was there and no one was asked to leave early, but hey, feel free to just make it up #thatsnotjournalismitscreativewriting.”

Oh, snap!

Amy Winehouse’s father tore into Jean Paul Gaultier for the designer’s Wednesday fashion show, where models emulated the late singer’s signature style.

At the Paris Fashion Week show, Gaultier models walked the runway sporting beehive-style hair, excessive eyeliner and clothing similar to what Winehouse used to wear.

The designer called the show a “tribute” to the late British songstress, but Winehouse’s dad had a different take.

“We don’t support the Jean Paul Galtier collection,” Winehouse’s father Mitch said on Twitter Thursday. “It’s in bad taste.”

Mitch further told The Sun, “To see her image lifted wholesale to sell clothes was a wrench we were not expecting or consulted on.”

“We’re proud of her influence on fashion but find black veils on models, smoking cigarettes with a barbershop quartet singing her music in bad taste,” he added.

Mitch emphasized that he was never contacted about Gaultier’s intentions and suggested a donation to the Amy Winehouse Foundation would’ve been appropriate.

“This is purely about Gaultier making money, and that’s wrong,” he told the paper.

Winehouse was found dead in her London apartment on July 23.

Prince Harry says he’ll likely be deployed to Afghanistan sometime in the next year.

“I can’t wait to get out there,” he told the The Sun at a military awards gala in London on Monday.

The Prince previously served in Afghanistan in 2007, but his mission was cut short when details of his deployment were leaked to the press.

The third in line to the throne recently finished helicopter pilot training in California, and reportedly told guests and honorees that he is “looking forward to putting it into practice.”

“Lady Gaga is releasing a song about the death of Princess Diana,” reports The Sun, which claims the “Paparazzi” singer believes “she may end up dying in the same way” as the late royal.

According to a supposed source for the paper, “Gaga says she sees herself as a ‘pop version’ of Diana,” who died in a tragic car crash in 1997 after being chased by photographers in Paris.

The so-called “source” says, “Gaga has always been absolutely fixated on Diana and sees herself as a 21st-century incarnation of her,” explaining, “She knows she is almost as recognizable as Diana and is hounded by photographers and fans on the same level.”

“Gaga has had dreams about dying the same way as her and has genuine fears that her fame could literally kill her, either in a chase or at the hands of crazies,” adds the insider.

The tabloid goes on to say that the singer previewed her new Princess Di-inspired track “to a select few last month,” and one critic supposedly described it as packed with “bitter lyrics” and a “trademark catchy chorus.”

So, when is Gaga going to release the new tune?

About one week from… NEVER.

A rep for Gaga tells Gossip Cop the report about the upcoming song, as well as the singer’s supposed preoccupation with Diana’s death, are both “not true.”

“Bieber Grounded By His Mom,” reads the headline of a National Enquirer story that claims, ”Justin Bieber has had his driver’s license suspended — by his overprotective mom!”

According to the tabloid, “The teen pop star’s driving privileges shifted into neutral after his mom, Pattie Mallette, grounded him for splurging on a $160,000 custom-made hot rod!”

The reason his mom reportedly “blew a gasket” and is “forbidding him from driving until he turns 18,” says the Enquirer, is that during a recent trip to the U.K., Bieber “treated himself to a customized ‘Project Kahn’ Range Rover, complete with a souped-up Cosworth engine, custom paint job and sound system worth tens of thousands of dollars.”

Story sound familiar?

It should.

Gossip Cop debunked the fabricated tale last week when it first appeared in the British tab, The Sun, where the Enquirer later stole it from.

Regardless, Bieber’s rep tells us there’s “no truth whatsoever” to The Biebs buying a $160,000 customized Range Rover.

Once again, the Enquirer crashes big time for jacking (and then publishing) a totally manufactured story.

In a piece titled, “Justin Bieber Finds His Range,” The Sun claims the singer “splashed out more than £100,000 [$160,000] on a… customized Range Rover.”

Once it’s completed, reports the tab, Bieber will have his tricked-out wheels “shipped out to LA to add to his expanding fleet of supercars.”

The paper notes the special features Bieber is adding to his car include a high-end “engine, customized paint job and leather interior, plus a sound system worth £50,000 [$80,000].”

Says one of The Sun‘s so-called sources, ”Justin loves his motors even though he’s barely old enough to drive… His girlfriend Selena Gomez will be well impressed with his latest. It’s the business.”

Let’s first look at the COMPLETELY fabricated quotes from the paper’s “source.”

First, no one in North America, especially anyone close to Bieber, would refer to cars as “motors.”

Second, no one in the world, especially anyone close to Bieber, would refer in normal conversation to Gomez as “his girlfriend Selena Gomez.” It’s either just “his girlfriend” or “Selena.”

Still, Gossip Cop checked with Bieber’s rep, who told us there’s “no truth whatsoever” to The Sun story.

Once again, the paper run out of gas with its fictitious Bieber stories.

“Justin Bieber hides out in a gay club,” reads a headline from The Sun, which claims the “Baby” singer got some respite from paternity allegations by partying at “Europe’s hottest gay venue” after the MTV EMAs on Sunday.

According to a supposed “source” for the paper, The Biebs “went to the official MTV party at the Europa hotel with his girlfriend Selena Gomez before being smuggled out in secret” to a popular gay hotspot in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

He spent the “early hours of Monday morning in gay club Kremlin,” says the paper.

Bieber supposedly managed to enter and exit the club unseen because he ”slipped through a side entrance used for kitchen deliveries and later left the same way,” claims the tab’s alleged “source.”

OK, let’s get this straight: Bieber left his girlfriend at a party celebrating his multiple wins at the EMAs to secretly hit up a gay club?

And the world famous teen icon managed to remain unseen — except for by a Sun “source” – at the bustling venue?

Yeah, right.

Regardless, a rep for Bieber tells Gossip Cop the tab’s story is “absurd.”

“Lady Gaga is such a huge fan of the Royal Family she is trying to spy on the Queen during a visit to the UK,” reports The Sun, which goes on to claim that the singer “invested in a pair of expensive binoculars to find out what goes on behind closed doors at Buckingham Palace.”

According to the tabloid, Gaga “made a special request to staff at the posh Lanesborough Hotel in West London to ensure her luxury suite has the best possible view of the Palace.”

A so-called “source” for the paper says, “She is totally obsessed with the royals,” noting, “she has been glued to her hotel window at every opportunity to try to catch a glimpse of the Queen or Prince Phillip.”

Seriously?!

NO.

Rihanna may have found herself a new man while shooting her “We Found Love” music video.

The singer was spotted last night at London hotspot Mahiki with her video co-star, boxer-turned-model Dudley O’Shaughnessy.

According to The Sun, Rihanna hand-picked O’Shaughnessy to star in the video, and “was making no secret that she fancied the pants off” the British model on set.

The “S&M” singer is on tour in England through December.

Gossip Cop reached out to a rep for Rihanna, who declined to comment.

This past Saturday in London, Beyonce delayed her walk down the runway for her fashion line, House of Dereon, for 45 minutes because she was waiting for her friend Gywneth Paltrow to show, reports The Sun.

According to a so-called “source” for the tab, the “models were all dressed and ready” for the London Fashion Week show, but Beyonce “halted the whole thing because she thought Gwyneth was about to arrive.”

The “source” says the pregnant singer and designer “kept calling [Paltrow] but she didn’t show. People couldn’t wait any longer and they had to get on with it.”

Beyonce was quite “disappointed,” adds the “source.”

Here’s what’s right about the story: Beyonce had a runway show for her House of Dereon line in London.

Here’s what’s wrong about the story: EVERYTHING else.

“That is completely untrue,” a source close to Beyonce tells Gossip Cop, noting “Gwyneth was not even in London on Saturday night.”

Prince Harry sure knows how to party.

The royal was spotted dancing up a storm to rave music at a club on Hvar Island in Croatia.

In a hilarious video obtained by The Sun, Harry busts moves on a stone wall, dives into a pool fully clothed, and then comes up from the water still dancing.

According to an alleged witness at the venue, ”Harry’s dancing wasn’t great. In fact it was embarrassing. But once they realized who he was, everyone wanted to have a photo with him.”

George Michael and longtime love Kenny Goss have split, the singer finally confirms.

On the kickoff of his “Symphonica” tour, Michael told the audience at the Prague State Opera House this evening, “Kenny and I haven’t been together for two and a half years,” and explained that Goss’s struggle with alcohol addiction was partially responsible for their break-up.

“My love life has has been a lot more turbulent than I’ve let on,” revealed Michael, dedicating a new song “Where I Hope You Are” to Goss. “This man has brought me a lot of joy and a lot of pain,” he said.

The singer adamantly denied an article in The Sun last March that reported he and Goss had broken up, having said, “It is complete bullsh*t about myself and Kenny breaking up.”

But Michael confessed today, “It’s time to be honest.”

The couple had been together for about fifteen years.

Britney Spears is ”banned from owning a mobile phone,” according to The Sun.

Yes, you read that correctly.

The tabloid says the world famous pop star is not allowed to own a cell phone because her handlers are trying to “avoid a repeat of past meltdowns.”

A supposed “source” for the paper explains, “Britney’s inner-circle keep a close eye on her to ensure she keeps herself together. One of the rules is she gave up her cell phone. That helps them keep her under control.”

Wow.

As in, wow, this is one of the stupidest stories we’ve read in a while.

Spears is not “banned” from having a cell phone, the same way she doesn’t have a curfew or any other rules and regulations imposed upon her.

A rep for the “I Wanna Go” singer tells Gossip Cop, “The whole story is incorrect.”

According to The Sun, “Personal belongings were stolen from Amy Winehouse‘s house in the days after her death.”

The paper goes on to report that her dad “believes one of her acquaintances has taken copies of unreleased tracks, lyric books and letters.”

Gossip Cop is actively trying to verify the The Sun’s account, and has reached out to Winehouse’s rep.

The Sun claims that shortly after Winehouse’s death, approximately 20 friends, family members, security personnel and police officers had access to her London home.

As opposed to this alleged robbery, following his daughter’s death, Mitch Winehouse freely gave mourning fans camped outside her home some of the singer’s clothes.

Lindsay Lohan supposedly threw a fit on Wednesday night when she was banned from going backstage at the Coldplay concert in L.A., claims The Sun.

The British tab says Lohan “begged” for an all access pass, but was “turned away” by the band.

According to a supposed “source” for the paper, Lohan ”threw a complete wobbler” when she wasn’t let backstage, and “protested to the people running the guest list.”

(We’re not 100 percent sure what a “wobbler” is, but it doesn’t sound good.)

Anyway, The Sun claims Lohan ”got even more angry when she found out fellow actress Kate Bosworth was there mingling with Gwyneth Paltrow and the band… In the end she got so fed up, she stormed out.”

Seriously?

Not at all.

Lohan laughed off the rumor when Gossip Cop reached out to her.

And now we know why. A music source tells us Lohan is actually dating one of Coldplay’s band members, Guy Berryman.

“Tragic Amy Winehouse was secretly engaged to Reg Traviss,” reads the headline of an “exclusive” from The Sun.

According to the tab, just “weeks” before Winehouse died at 27, Traviss gave her “a diamond ring.”

The paper quotes an unnamed source as saying, ”Reg asked Amy and of course she said ‘Yes’. She loved him. She wanted nothing more than to be his wife and to start a family with him.”

The Sun even says they “planned to marry next year.”

The tab’s so-called “source” notes, ”Amy spent a week in rehab in June and told loved ones afterwards she was determined to quit booze… Amy was adamant about sorting herself out. Reg’s proposal made her even more determined.”

Of course, Traviss, who has only spoken briefly since Winehouse’s passing, has never even alluded to the fact that the two were engaged, which one might expect he would have mentioned.

The film director has never said anything about losing his “fiancee” or that they were set to marry.

Traviss simply noted, “I’ve lost my darling who I loved very much.”

Gossip Cop has yet to hear back from Traviss’ rep about the accuracy of The Sun‘s report, but Winehouse’s spokesmen tells us if there were any validity to it, “It would have been between Reg and Amy. No one else knew.”

Seems like the engagement was such a secret, not even Winehouse nor Traviss even knew about it.

Earlier in the week, Gossip Cop was the first to report that stories about Winehouse adopting a 10-year-old from St. Lucia were absolutely NOT true.

We sincerely wish the tabs would let Winehouse rest in peace without creating new drama now that she’s gone.

Jonathan Rhys Meyers was reportedly hospitalized on Tuesday night after an alleged suicide attempt.

According to The Sun, paramedics responded to an emergency call by someone at the “Tudors” star’s London home after Meyers allegedly tried to overdose on pills.

Police had to be called to the scene because Meyers is said to have refused treatment.

The actor was reportedly released from the hospital on Wednesday morning.

Meyers has been to rehab numerous times in the past.

A source close to the actor says, “He did relapse but he did not try to commit suicide. He was taken to the hospital and then released.”

Scarlett Johansson and Justin Timberlake got cozy at the New York hotspot Kenmare, reports The Sun.

According to the tab, Johansson and Timberlake, who starred in the singer’s “What Goes Around… Comes Around” video back in 2006, “were very touchy feely and sat close to one another in a VIP booth along with a few other pals.”

“They hardly looked at their mates when they went to dance because they were so into one another,” adds an alleged source.

The couple then supposedly pulled a “textbook decoy move and left the club ten minutes apart” before they both “ended up back at his loft apartment.”

No, they didn’t.

A source close to Timberlake tells Gossip Cop he had “one drink” at the club, and then left because he had a press event scheduled for the following morning.

Joss Stone was allegedly targeted in a frightening robbery and murder plot in England on Monday.

Police say two men were arrested outside Stone’s house in southwest England, where they “had in their possession information… and items which lead us to suspect that they may have intended to commit a criminal offense.”

Cops were called to the scene after residents reported a suspicious-looking car outside Stone’s home.

While The Sun reports that the men had swords, rope and a body bag, as well as maps and photos of Stone’s property, police have not confirmed these details.

Stone said in a just released statement: “I’d like to thank everyone for their concern but I’m absolutely fine and getting on with life as normal while the police continue with their enquiries.”

The two suspects have been charged with conspiracy to commit robbery and conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm.

Stone is a good friend of Prince William, and was a guest at the Royal Wedding in April.

Britney Spears is not secretly engaged to Jason Trawick.

The Sun claims to have an “exclusive” about the supposed engagement, including alleged details about Trawick’s proposal to Spears in the couple’s Los Angeles mansion.

According to a so-called “source” for the paper, “She’s on cloud nine.”

“Britney’s desperate to settle down again and have more children,” explains The Sun source.

“But she is very traditional and didn’t want to start a family with Jason until they’d tied the knot.”

The Sun says Spears and Trawick plan a “low-key wedding in Hawaii” after she finishes her Femme Fatale tour.

Far be it from Gossip Cop to challenge The Sun‘s reporting, but, um, this is the same publication that said Spears and Trawick were getting married way back in October 2009.

It wasn’t true then, and it’s not true this time, either.

A rep for Spears assures Gossip Cop she and Trawick are not engaged.

Not to be outdone by The Sun, the folks over at The Mirror have come up with their own entry in the contest for “Most Clueless Interpretation of Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart‘s MTV Movie Awards Appearance.”

You’ll recall that while accepting the award for Best Kiss on Sunday night, Pattinson darted from the stage and into the audience, where he kissed Taylor Lautner.

Anyone watching understood that it was a planned, cute moment designed to get a laugh.

Well, we thought anyone watching understood that.

“As 7,000 fans watched in stunned disbelief Robert Pattinson snubbed Kristen Stewart and snogged her mate instead,” cries The Mirror. “Her male mate.”

Wait.

Pattinson “snubbed” her?

The Mirror is taking this seriously?

Wow, does it ever.

Stewart was allegedly so furious and shocked when Pattinson kissed Lautner instead of her, she “tore a strip off the vampire heart-throb” backstage, yelling, “You made me look like a total jerk out there!” Then, when Pattinson supposedly defended himself, The Mirror claims Stewart muttered, “Don’t even bother” while brushing past him.

Um… it was planned.

Pattinson planned to kiss Lautner.

Stewart knew he planned to kiss Lautner.

That’s why MTV’s camera cut to Lautner when Pattinson joked on stage about wanting to kiss someone besides Stewart.

It’s why you Stewart smiles and says, “Go get him!” as Pattinson bounds into the audience.

The whole thing was a play on the whole “will they or won’t they kiss” game the couple enacted in the past while on stage for the exact same award.

What is so difficult to understand here?

“Despite her public humiliation, Kristen and Robert patched up their differences, and were later holding hands and giggling,” observes The Mirror.

Um, the only “humiliation” should be the newspaper’s for printing such nonsense in the first place.

After that, the paper takes a nosedive.

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are supposedly on the rocks, claims the paper, which argues that “away from the limelight the Hollywood stars’ relationship is anything but love’s young dream.”

According to The Sun, while Pattinson and Stewart had chemistry on-stage at last night’s MTV Movie Awards, “their behavior backstage told a completely different story.”

Says a Sun source, “They were very lukewarm considering they are supposed to be this golden couple. It seems they are far hotter in front of the camera than off it.”

In fact, claims this supposed source, “behind the scenes things seemed a little frosty.”

Hmm.

Actually, what’s ice cold here is the reporting.

Because what cameras caught backstage last night was the two Twilight stars holding hands and looking every bit like a couple, even away from the Gibson Amphitheater crowds.

Of course, The Sun has a spotty record when it comes to judging Stewart’s public interactions.

After all, this is the same publication that once showed her with a “mystery man” and had zero clue it was Tom Sturridge – one of Pattinson’s close friends and a very well-known actor in his own right.

According to a “report” the blogger regurgitated from The Sun, Spears “has banned all junk food, and has also required that all venues can accommodate her humidifiers and miniature gym in an attempt to keep her voice and body in tip top shape!”

“Only the best for our beloved Brit Brit!” exclaims Perez.

Gossip Cop has debunked quite a few outlandish stories about pop stars’ supposed tour demands, and while these requests are not outrageous, a rep for Spears tells us he “hasn’t heard” anything about such requirements.

The newspaper notes that the “Born This Way” singer has said she keeps a “liquid diet” while on the road, and quotes a supposed “pal” of Gaga as saying, “Her mum thinks she drinks too much and doesn’t eat enough. She has gone along to keep an eye on her boozing and feed her up.”

Since when does the American-born Gaga have close friends who use British words like, “Mum”?

Still, despite the questionable quotes in The Sun, is the 25-year-old superstar really being watched over by her mother?

Nope.

A source close to Gaga – and not some made-up “bloke” or “mate” – tells Gossip Cop that the tab’s story is completely “fabricated.”

According to The Sun, Justin Bieber is “desperate” to play Oliver Twist in a remake of the classic musical Oliver!

Supposedly, the star thinks his modest upbringing in Canada was good training for Charles Dickens‘ famous street urchin character.

“It’s a bold move by the singer,” declares the paper, which observes how multiple TV and film attempts to revive the story have been failures.

“But Justin has a better chance than most,” explains The Sun. “His army of fans would make the project a near-guaranteed success.”

We have no doubt Bieber’s fans would provide a huge boost to any project he might do; consider the massive success of his movie debut Never Say Never.

But the premise that he wants to play Twist (who happens to be several years younger than Bieber) is completely made up.

George Michael and his longtime boyfriend, Kenny Goss, have NOT broken up, contrary to reports.

The Sun reported today that Goss had become fed up with Michaels’ antics, such as repeated drunk driving incidents and marijuana use, and had finally decided to leave the singer.

However, Michael himself has shot down the claim that Goss has left him.

Today, he called into British TV talk show “The Wright Stuff” after he saw the presenters discussing his rumored “split.”

Colin Farrell and Rihanna?

According to The Sun, Farrell has “worked his charms on Rihanna to such an extent she hasn’t stopped texting him” since they swapped numbers two months ago in England, where they both appeared on “The Graham Norton Show.”

Since then, says the paper, Farrell has been getting “lots of flirty messages” from the singer.

One of the tab’s sources claims, “Colin was taken aback by some of the texts. He reckons he might well be in there. They’re both single, so why not?”

In fact, The Sun says, ”Colin and Rihanna have made plans to meet up in LA when their hectic schedules allow.”

Really?

No.

A source close to Farrell assures Gossip Cop this latest tale is “not true.”

“There won’t be much chance for Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie to make anymore [children] – his parents are moving in,” begins a piece in The Sun.

According to the British tab, Pitt and Jolie are permanently moving their brood to France as soon as renovations are completed on their Chateau Miraval estate there.

What’s more, Pitt’s parents, Bill and Jane, are supposedly moving in with the couple to help take care for their six children.

“At the moment they have six nannies – one for each of the kids – and the plan is to get rid of the helpers and rely on Bill and Jane,” claims a so-called “source” for the tabloid.

The Jolie-Pitt grandparents, who have lived in Springfield, Missouri ever since Pitt was a child, are supposedly leaving all of their extended family to reside in a “lovely little cottage” adjacent to the chateau and dedicate their lives to raising their grandkids.

How will Pitt and Jolie spend their time in France, then?

“The plan is both of them will do voiceover work in a recording studio in the chateau’s grounds,” says the Sun‘s source. “Other than that, they’ll pretty much retire from Hollywood for a while.”

Hold on. Let’s get this straight.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are allegedly retiring from Hollywood and moving their six kids – as well as Pitt’s Midwestern parents – to the French countryside? Really?

That seems… improbable.

First, Pitt currently has three movies in the works (Moneyball, Happy Feet 2 and Cogan’s Trade), while Jolie is up for several roles. In other words, it doesn’t look like the couple is set to “retire” any time soon.

Second, Bill and Jane Pitt, who are in their seventies, have lived in Springfield for decades. They’re not planning to uproot their lives and cross the Atlantic – away from their other children and grandchildren in Missouri – to replace a team of nannies.

The Sun should just move on.

The on-again, off-again couple is rumored to have reunited after reportedly being spotted leaving a private members club together late Saturday night in London, according The Sun.

Davy returned to the U.K. this weekend following a long stint in southern Africa.

She and Harry dated for five years before splitting last November.

Representatives with the palace have refused comment, but William and Kate’s April 29 nuptials may provide an opportunity for Harry and Davy to make the reported reunion public.
