We’d love to know where the National Enquirer finds the so-called celebrity “friends” it often quotes.

This week the supermarket tab reports that “pals” of Jessica Simpson insist she’s “jealous of her younger sister Ashlee’s super-slender figure” despite the star’s repeated public declarations of happiness with her body.

“Jessica wants everyone to believe she’s learned to embrace her shape,” one “friend” tells the Enquirer. “But the truth is she’d give the world to have a skinny body like Ashlee’s.”
