“Kristin Cavallari and Jay Cutler are engaged — again!” reports Life & Style, which last week wrongly reported the reality star had a past fling with Kourtney Kardashian‘s baby daddy, Scott Disick.

According to the mag “After calling off his three-month engagement to Kristin on July 23,” the Chicago Bears quarterback “proposed for the second time — and Kristin has accepted!”

“Kristin is over the moon with happiness,” a supposed “source” tells the tabloid, adding, ”She’s already told her friends that the engagement is back on.”

That’s funny, because the former star of “The Hills” just told her 700,000 friends on Twitter, “I’m not engaged u guys.”

Perhaps Life & Style should find a new Cavallari source.

The reality TV star turned entrepreneur has a “romance brewing” with Derek Hough of “Dancing with the Stars,” according to E!

A “source” for the outlet claims “they’ve been on a few dates together.”

But Gossip Cop hears things aren’t that serious.

A source close to Conrad tells us she and Hough are “friends” and went on a single date.

Time will tell whether these two TV personalities wind up as a couple.

Conrad split with longtime boyfriend Kyle Howard last June and was later (wrongly) linked to actor Colton Haynes.

Audrina Patridge has something to get off her chest — sort of.

When interviewed by The Daily, Patridge confronted plastic surgery rumors, which she says have dogged her because her former “The Hills” co-star Heidi Montag underwent a dozen procedures a couple of years ago.

“They always ask me about that because of Heidi and there’s all these rumors and they all say I’ve had, like, six procedures, and I’m, like, ‘Where do you get that?’ Look at the pictures,” she says.

Patridge adds, “As far as my face, I’d never had anything done.”

But about her having her breasts enhanced, Patridge just says, “I don’t like to talk about that.”

Curiously, though, she explains, “Well, see I have this chest problem. My bone right here, it’s higher on this side? It’s pectoralis something, so I’ve always struggled with that. You could see they look different sizes all the time.”

Hmm.

“Lauren Conrad & Colton Haynes: New Couple Alert?” reads a headline from People, which says Conrad was spotted “enjoying the company” of the “Teen Wolf” star at L.A. club Trousdale last Friday.

According to the mag, “Conrad was clearly happy to be around Haynes – at one point draping her arms and legs around the actor in the back room of the lounge.”

But the former and current MTV stars aren’t getting romantic.

A source close to Conrad tells Gossip Cop the “Hills” alum and Haynes are not dating, explaining, ”They are really close friends and have been for many years now.”

Could “The Hills” become a movie?

MTV’s reality series went off the air last summer, but thanks to recent comments by Audrina Patridge, rumors are swirling about a possible jump to the silver screen.

Apparently, there’d been discussion with the show’s executive producer Adam DiVello when the TV series ended about possibly doing a feature film. But the timing wasn’t right for Patridge, Lauren Conrad, Kristin Cavallari, Lo Bosworth and the rest of the gang.

“We were kind of all just so fed up with each other that we all needed a little break,” she says on Ryan Seacrest‘s radio show (LISTEN to audio below).

And now?

“We’ve all had our break. Maybe we’ll all come back together and do a movie.”

Interesting.

Cutler popped the question while the couple was in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

We’re told Cutler gave the former star of “The Hills” a “very big diamond.”

The NFL star and Cavallari have been dating since the fall.

The trilogy, entitled The Fame Game, focuses on the fame-loving Madison Parker (from her previous L.A. Candy books) and her struggle to make it in the wonderful world of reality television.

Lauren Conrad‘s new show may have been too “high brow” for MTV, but fellow “The Hills” alum Audrina Patridge doesn’t look like she’s going to have the same problem with “Audrina,” which premieres on April 17 on VH1.

The show also features the reality star’s parents and sisters, and follows Patridge as she tries to balance career and family.

Lauren Conrad is losing a bit of her touch on “reality.”

The fashionista’s upcoming reality show has just been scrapped by MTV.

“We sold a show to MTV, filmed it and are really proud of the final result,” Conrad tells Gossip Cop in a statement. However, she adds, ”MTV felt the subject matter was too high brow for their audience and offered me the opportunity to change the show by incorporating more of my personal life.”

As opposed to “The Hills,” which followed the reality star and her friends as they partied around Hollywood, the thrust of the yanked show was Conrad’s work as a fashion designer.

“We agreed going into the project that this show would be an aspirational one, focusing on my career and my goals and not my personal relationships,” Conrad says. “We delivered the show that we sold and are sorry MTV didn’t feel their viewers were savvy enough to appreciate it.”

“Is Lauren Conrad hiding something about her love life?” asks the New York Post.

According to the paper, “The Hills” star “is said to be secretly engaged to boyfriend Kyle Howard, whom she’s been dating since 2008.”

So where’s the ring?

“She is not wearing a ring because she wants to hold the secret back for her new MTV show,” says a supposed source for the outlet.

For real?

No.

A rep for Conrad says “she was laughing over the story,” which is totally “false.”

Audrina Patridge‘s stalker is going to prison for 2 years.

Zachary Loring, who was arrested outside of “The Hills” star’s house and charged with felony stalking last February, has been sentenced to 24 months in prison. The judge, however, gave him 546 days credit for time served, so he could be out not long after the new year.

Still, he must also stay away from Patridge for 10 years.

Gossip Cop is sure today must be a huge relief for her.

“Apparently not everyone was a fan of The Hills,” begins a piece in Us Weekly.

According to the mag, while shopping at the Guess store in Chicago last week, Kristin Cavallari supposedly said to the manager, “I’m Kristin Cavallari. Any chance I can get anything for free?”

When the staffer explained that handing out free goods wasn’t exactly the store’s policy, the reality star allegedly threw a “tantrum,” screaming, “You don’t know who I am? Are you serious?” and then stormed out of the store.

What piece of clothing got her so fired up?

Us Weekly claims it was all over a $40 shirt.

Not only did the reality star’s rep deny the tab’s account, but Cavallari herself took to twitter to blast the story: “Is Us Weekly serious. What a pathetic ‘magazine’. They’re just as bad as The National Enquirer.”

Looks like Cavallari won’t be getting a Christmas card from Us Weekly this year.

Halloween got off to a frightening start last night when Heidi Montag hosted a party at the Las Vegas club Pure.

Spencer Pratt, who was not a host, dressed as some kind of alien, while the surgically enhanced Montag simply wore a gold dress.

This marks the first time since April the couple, who filed for divorce and then reconciled two months later, have walked a red carpet together.

The two were openly affectionate with each other throughout the night at the club.

What’s the scariest part – Pratt’s outfit? That the couple is back together? Or that a club is still paying Montag to host parties?

The site claims the proposed ”Jersey Shore” spinoff “would see the two guys moving to Los Angeles.”

Really?

The site’s supposed insider says, “The show would be a ‘dirty version’ of The Hills. It would follow Pauly and Mike trying to make it in Hollywood, while having the time of their lives.”

Really?

Uh.. no.

An actual MTV insider tells Gossip Cop the blog report is “not true.”

“They definitely aren’t at that stage at all yet,” says our source, noting that MTV typically has development deals with all of its stars, though that doesn’t mean any of the ideas bounced around are going to become pilots, much less a series.

In other words, this is far from… a situation.

In case you were wondering how Heidi Montag spends her time now that she’s no longer on “The Hills,” the answer is she keeps busy by playing with her own mountains.

Earlier this morning, Montag tweeted, “Giving my self a soft tissue breast massage.”

And she advises other women: “Ladies we have to keep those implants soft.”

Indeed.

Montag, who super-sized her chest to G-cups, apparently is still enjoying her bosom, because she hasn’t tweeted since this morning.

Spencer Pratt is shopping a sex tape featuring Heidi Montag.

He has requested a meeting with Vivid Entertainment. The company’s head, Steven Hirsch, confirms to Gossip Cop, “We are in early negotiations to possibly come to terms for a deal.”

Montag’s friend, meanwhile, denies that such a tape even exists, according to RadarOnline.

The couple’s divorce becomes final on Valentine’s Day, 2011.

On Thursday, news broke that Pratt intends to write a tell-all book about their marriage, prompting Montag to threaten legal action.

Spencer Pratt says he and Heidi Montag split because he is too consumed by celebrity.

Really.

“We love each other but I’m a famewhore and I’ll never grow out of it, Pratt tells People.com. “[Heidi] knows that and doesn’t want that.”

While the show that launched the couple to stardom, “The Hills,” concluded its run last week, Pratt is more intent than Montag on staying in the limelight.

“I want every kind of press,” says the reality TV bad boy. “There’s no way my love for fame and her love for puppies will ever work out successfully.”

While Montag “just wants to hike and hang out and be calmer,” Pratt claims, “I’m the same Spencer who went on ‘The Hills’ to be famous. I still need to do stunts and take cues from Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise.”

Pratt, who now describes himself as “an artist,” insists that his split from Montag is absolutely authentic. Among the skeptics who have expressed doubt that the couple’s divorce is real are former cast mates Audrina Patridge and Whitney Port.

The New York Post has published a rumor that Stephanie Pratt of “The Hills” fame may be jumping coasts to join Whitney Port and Olivia Palermo on “The City” in New York.

According to the paper’s source, “Now that ‘The Hills’ is over, Stephanie has been talking about moving to New York for ‘The City.’”

“There would be a lot of drama there because her ex-best friend, Roxy Olin, is a regular on the show — and there’s bad blood because Roxy just dropped Stephanie for Whitney Port,” explains the Post‘s source.

That’s all well and good… but Pratt hasn’t been added to the cast, at least not yet.

While rumors that MTV had canceled “The City” were wrong, there are still major unmade decisions concerning the next season. MTV sources tell Gossip Cop that producers have not discussed Pratt’s possible involvement.

Is “The City” being shut down?

According to a rumor spreading faster than butter on a toasted English muffin, “MTV has canceled (seemingly) successful scripted reality series The City,” with this season being its last.

A spin-off from “The Hills,” which has its own series finale next month, “The City” follows the exploits of Whitney Port and friends as they try to make it in the New York City fashion world.

The show’s success, coupled with “The Hills” going off the air, makes this rumor odd, to say the least.

And rightfully so.

Tony DiSanto, MTV’s president of programming and development, tells Gossip Cop exclusively that the show’s rumored demise is “Totally 100 percent not true.”

Heidi Montag has filed for separation from Spencer Pratt.

Montag made it official at the Santa Monica courthouse this morning, listing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason and June 8 as the date of separation.

Once legally separated, her earnings from this moment on become her exclusive property.

The reality TV stars decided to split last month.

Rising to fame on MTV’s “The Hills,” the couple wed in Mexico in November 2008 and again in California on April 25, 2009.

Police arrived at the Los Angeles home of Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag after the couple called the authorities claiming Montag’s mother refuses to leave their property, according to a report.

Montag’s mom, Darlene Egelhoff, “just showed up to the house unannounced… and after what she did to me on national TV, I have no desire to see her,” Montag tells TMZ.

The site says Egelhoff showed up “pounding on the door,” leading Montag to call the cops. Of Egelhoff she reportedly said, “Her showing up is completely out of line and psychotic. I’m getting a restraining order against her.”

Montag and Pratt appear on “The Hills,” on which Egelhoff recently expressed displeasure with her daughter’s radical plastic surgery.

Could “The Hills” still be alive with the sound of rolling cameras?

A surprising E! Online “exclusive” claims the twelve episodes beginning on Tuesday, billed as the “final season,” may NOT be the last we see of the hit series.

The report quotes star Kristin Cavallari as saying, “There’s a possibility of them ordering 12 more episodes.”

But… hasn’t it already been determined that this is the final season for Lauren Conrad replacement Cavallari, along with Brody Jenner, Audrina Patridge, Lauren Bosworth, Spencer Pratt, Heidi Montag, and America’s other favorite shrinking violets?

Yes, it has.

“This is truly the last of ‘The Hills’ because we want the season to go out on a high note that the show deserves and that the fans deserve,” Tony DiSanto, MTV‘s President of Programming and Development, told Gossip Cop, adding, “This season delivers the drama, the story and the organic culmination of the story.”

Unfortunately for fans, it’s indeed time to say goodbye.

“The Hills” is about to enter its final season, which means tabloids have to squeeze in some last wrong rumors about the hit show’s cast.

As usual, Star magazine doesn’t disappoint!

According to a source for the mag, Audrina Patridge “threw a tantrum” at bar210 in Los Angeles on April 11 when producers asked her to keep filming a scene.

We don’t know what the so-called “source” considers a “tantrum,” but the claim is bogus.

A source close to the production tells Gossip Cop the star arrived on time and filmed for more than 4 hours. When she asked producers to end the session after midnight and they asked her to continue, she did just that, filming until everyone called it a night.

No tantrum. No drama. Just ridiculous exaggeration.

But one bad Patridge rumor isn’t enough.

Star also alleges that Patridge “refused to speak at all” while taping for the show with Kristin Cavallari at the restaurant Toast on April 9.

This second claim is completely untrue.

Our source assures us the two “Hills” gals “chatted the entire time and had a great meal.”

So much for “reality” TV coverage.

“The Hills” are alive with the sound of gossip.

And according to the rumor mill, it will soon be divorce for America’s Sweethearts, Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt.

Two weeks ago, Montag announced that she’d fired Pratt as her manager, leading to widespread speculation the pair would dissolve more than just professional ties.

Now OK! magazine claims Montag “walked out on her husband” after less than a year and a half of marriage. “She’s moving out of her house and away from Spencer,” a “source” tells the tab.

Meanwhile, sources “close to the couple” have told Hollyscoop.com that “things are very rocky between the two, and we’re surprised if they survive the year together.”

Montag and Pratt, though, assure there’s nothing to the split speculation.

“I’m not moving out,” Montag says. “I love Spencer with all my heart.”

Her husband adds, “I love my wife more now than I ever thought I could.”

And a rep for the couple also tells Gossip Cop that talk of a split is “not true.”

Whether the couple is in it for the long haul remains to be seen, of course, but the notion that they’re living apart and preparing for an imminent breakup doesn’t ring true.

For the time being, they’ll continue soaking up publicity — together.

A man arrested outside reality star Audrina Patridge‘s home on Friday was arraigned today for felony stalking.

Zachary Loring faces three misdemeanors for each of the times he showed up at Patridge’s house, thereby violating a restraining order she won against him last September.

Incredibly, right after Loring’s attorney’s entered a plea of not guilty in court, Loring started to curse, make obscene gestures, and yell to the judge that he wanted to plead guilty.

The judge granted Patridge and her family a five year protective order.

On Friday, police apprehended Loring after he was spotted knocking on Patridge’s door. In the past, Loring had given The Hills star a packet of letters and drawings, including one depicting the strangulation of a woman.

Gossip Cop is told Whitney Port of ”The Hills” and “The City” and Ben Nemtin of “The Buried Life” are dating!

We first got wind of this about a week and a half ago when the two were at the MTV Upfronts at the Bryant Park Hotel in New York. And now sources at the network confirm the two MTV stars have been together for a few weeks.

And though the relationship is relatively new, a source in the know says, “They are definitely serious.”

Don’t be surprised if the two go public soon.

Another day, another major malfunction for HollywoodLife.

“EXCLUSIVE! Audrina Patridge Fell Out Of Her Super Bowl Party Dress — And Told ‘The Hills’ Cameras to Keep Rolling!” bellows the site, hoping exclamation points are a good substitute for facts.

“It may not be on par with Janet Jackson‘s legendary nip-slip during the 2004 Super Bowl halftime show,” the post claims, “But Audrina Patridge’s wardrobe malfunction at last night’s Maxim Super Bowl party in Miami was still totally hilarious.”

Do tell!

Patridge’s black mini dress “simply wasn’t able to contain her,” explains HollywoodLife, “and her boobs kept popping out while MTV cameras were rolling!” The site goes on to say the reality TV starlet “loved the attention” and didn’t ask the cameras to cut away.

That does sound funny! Too bad it didn’t happen!

“Audrina did not have a wardrobe malfunction of any kind while in Miami this weekend,” a rep for the Hills star tells Gossip Cop. “This rumor is utter BS.”

Even Patridge herself tweeted, “I did NOT have any sort of a wardrobe malfunction in Miami this weekend. It’s sad that some blogs resort to making things up to get [press.]”
