‘The Roommate’ Moves Into First Place at Box Office

Two very different thrillers are topping the box office this weekend.

“The Roommate,” starring Minka Kelly and Leighton Meester in some domestic mind games, debuted at #1 with $15.6 million.

“Sanctum,” the heart-stopping adventure flick produced by James Cameron, took second at $9.2 million.

And coming in third was “No Strings Attached” with $8.4 million. What did you see this weekend?

‘The Rite’ Scares Up Box Office Victory

The Anthony Hopkins exorcism thriller “The Rite” debuted at #1 this weekend, earning $15 million to edge out “No Strings Attached,” the romantic comedy starring Ashton Kutcher and Natalie Portman, which came in second with $13.7 million.

Jason Statham’s latest action flick, “The Mechanic,” took third with $11.8 million.

Report: Barbra Streisand and Seth Rogen to Play Mom and Son

Seth Rogen and Barbra Streisand will reportedly star in the road trip comedy ‘My Mother’s Curse.’

The duo would play a mother and son who embark on a cross-country journey together. The project has been in development for years, with Rogen and Streisand first offered the roles last summer.

Anne Fletcher, who helmed the smash ‘The Proposal,’ is set to direct.

‘No Strings Attached’ Wins Weekend Box Office (Updated)

The Natalie Portman-Ashton Kutcher romantic comedy “No Strings Attached” took the top spot at the box office its first weekend out with $20.3 million in ticket sales.

Coming in second was last week’s winner, “The Green Hornet,” starring Seth Rogen, which earned $18.1 million.

And landing in third was Vince Vaughn and Kevin James’s “The Dilemma” with $9.9 million. What did you see this weekend?

The easy winner at the box office was ‘The Green Hornet,’ starring Seth Rogen, which earned $34 million in its first weekend out.

Coming in second, with $17.4 million, was the Vince Vaughn-Kevin James film, ‘The Dilemma.’ What did you see this weekend?

Edward Furlong has been jailed for violating a restraining order that protects his estranged wife, a spokesman for the Los Angeles City Attorney confirms to Gossip Cop.

The actor, who will be in ‘The Green Hornet,’ was in court today for a progress hearing, during which the city contended that in the last three to four weeks he’d violated the terms of the stay-away order filed on behalf of Rachael Kneeland.

He’ll later apologize, only to do it all over again.”
