Jessica Simpson opened up for the first time on “The Early Show” this morning about Eric Johnson’s proposal.

“I actually had to sit on his knee I was so shocked,” Simpson told host Harry Smith. “I didn’t even try the ring on until 5 minutes in,” she explained. “I just sat there and cried with him.”

A production source tells Gossip Cop Pattinson arrived at the studio at 9:30 AM Tuesday morning, a half-hour after the show finished. At 9:50 AM he sat down with co-anchor Maggie Rodriguez for about fifteen minutes to chat and promote his new film with Emilie de Ravin, “Remember Me.”
