A judge has ordered Terrence Howard to stay away from his estranged wife, 10 months after she filed for divorce.

Michelle Ghent‘s petition for a restraining order claimed that Howard repeatedly abused her during their one-year marriage and recently threatened to kill her.

Howard has denied the claims.

Terrence Howard’s wife Michelle Ghent has filed for divorce after only one year of marriage.

The couple married on January 20, 2010 and separated on January 27, 2011.

They have no children together.

Howard will play a deputy district attorney.
