At John Travolta’s request, a judge in the Bahamas has dismissed charges against two people who allegedly tried to extort the actor.

According to the prosecutor, Travolta and wife Kelly Preston no longer wished to pursue an emotionally grueling case that stemmed from their teenage son’s death.

“The Travolta family has said that this matter has caused them unbelievable stress and pain and they wish to put this whole thing behind them,” said prosecutor Neil Braithwaite.
