Sage Stallone died from natural causes, specifically heart disease.

The Los Angeles County Coroner, which previously delayed the release of a cause of death pending toxicology reports, now says that Stallone suffered from atherosclerotic coronary artery disease — and that drugs were not involved in his death.

He did, however, have “sub-therapeutic” levels of Vicodin in his system.

The Expendables 2 star says of his son’s tragic passing, “It’s tough. It’s very, very tough… It’s a horrible situation.”

Sage Stallone was emotionally remembered by friends and family at his funeral on Saturday.

He was memorialized at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church in Brentwood, Calif.

Among the attendees were Sage’s parents, Sylvester Stallone and Sasha Czack, Sly’s wife Jennifer Flavin and his brother Frank Stallone.

Sage Stallone Reportedly Had “White Powder” in Room at Time of Death

Multiple bags of “white powder” were reportedly in the room where Sage Stallone was found dead on Friday.

According to reports, investigators recovered “several little baggies in the bedroom,” with the possibility raised that the powder is cocaine or crushed pills, such as Vicodin.

More than 60 large pill bottles, at least some containing a generic form of Vicodin, were also found in Stallone’s room, reports TMZ.

Sage Stallone was reportedly dead for several days before being discovered on Friday.

TMZ is citing law enforcement sources who say Sylvester Stallone’s son had been living in squalor in a trash-strewn Los Angeles residence, and that he’d not been heard from in the week leading up to his death.

He was reportedly deceased for a minimum of three days.
