Katie Holmes is “desperate to be skinny,” declares Life & Style’s new cover story, which purports to reveal the actress’ “alarming” exercise and diet routines.

According to the magazine, Holmes is wasting away to nothing because Tom Cruise micromanages every other part of who she is.

“Tom may have taken over every aspect of her life, but only she has control over her body,” explains In Touch.

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes just bought five-year-old Suri a “$100,000 tree house,” reports In Touch.

The mag says the mini estate behind the family’s Beverly Hills home is complete with running water, electricity as well as “shag carpeting.”

According to a “family friend,” the tricked-out tree house also has security cameras, a “housekeeper” and a “team of nannies that cater to [Suri's] every need.” Seriously?!

Katie Holmes looks out from the cover of OK! magazine above the quote, “Yes, I’m pregnant.”

That sure makes it seem like Holmes says she’s about to have a baby.

But she has not said anything of the kind, and she is not pregnant.

OK! insists that Holmes has told friends she and Tom Cruise are expecting a little sibling for Suri.

“She said she’s finally past the morning sickness phrase,” says the magazine’s so-called “insider,” adding, “She was talking a mile a minute. She’s so excited.”

“Fed-Up Katie Leaving Tom,” declares Star, which goes on to detail a supposed “Christmas Split!” between the A-listers.

“Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes’ story-book marriage is imploding, fear friends – because she won’t give him another baby,” begins a piece in the National Enquirer.

The supermarket tabloid reprints, without any attribution, Holmes’ quotes from the October issue of Marie Claire, where she addresses whether she’ll have another child.

She told the women’s mag, “Maybe in a couple of years, but right now I want to make sure I’m really there for Suri.”

That comment, says the Enquirer’s source, caused Cruise to go “ballistic.” Really?

In fact, a so-called “source” says, “They have very strict rules for their employees.”

The tab claims, for example, Cruise is a neat freak, especially when it comes to his private gym at home. “Not even Katie is allowed to use his equipment,” says a supposed source, who adds, “He wants everything to be pristine.” Really?
