“Al Pacino-Katie Holmes ‘The Son of No One’ Bombs, Prompts Walkouts,” reads the headline of a piece by The Hollywood Reporter, which got picked up by various outlets that never bothered to fact-check the story.

The writer of the article begins his story with “Sundance 2011 can chalk up its first bomb,” claiming The Son of No One – starring Al Pacino, Channing Tatum, Ray Liotta, Juliette Binoche, and Katie Holmes - was poorly received.

The piece further states a number of the film’s potential buyers walked out ”well before the end credits,” and there was also an “exodus” of regular filmgoers.

Interestingly, the article’s author was NOT even at the screening, which is why he mistakenly singled out Pacino and Holmes, who only have four scenes in the film. The Son of No One is mostly a Channing Tatum vehicle.

What actually happened, according to someone who was really there, was that the projectionist accidently ended the film two scenes before it was over and then turned on the lights.

While it’s true a few confused people left, the majority stayed.

In fact, the film already has three offers.

There will be two red carpet premieres for “The Runaways,” Gossip Cop has confirmed.

The Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning rock biopic will premiere in Los Angeles on March 11. There will then be a New York City premiere on March 17.

“The Runaways” received a lot of attention last month at the Sundance Film Festival.

Stewart, Fanning, and film subject Joan Jett will all appear during Jay Leno‘s first episodes back as host of “The Tonight Show.”

Apparently the wrong (but regurgitated) rumors about Kristen Stewart hooking up with Orlando Bloom weren’t crazy enough to satisfy one outlet’s cravings for Sundance silliness.

Australia’s Famous magazine, last seen insisting the “Eclipse” cast hates Stewart, now latches on to one of the oldest and wrongest of all “Twilight” rumors with the intensity of a koala devouring eucalyptus.

Stewart, the mag claims, is involved romantically with Taylor Lautner.

Ugh, here we go. Again.

According to Famous, Stewart and Lautner share “an increasingly close friendship” some friends “even go so far as to describe as ‘an affair.’” And while Stewart was promoting new films at Sundance, she spent “much of her time darting off to speak on her phone” with Lautner, “giggling quietly behind her hand as she spoke,” according to the mag’s “onlooker.”

A so-called “pal” claims friends of Stewart and Lautner “don’t know the full extent of what has gone on” between the two, and have kept silent “for fear of unnecessarily hurting” Robert Pattinson. The mag then recycles old press junket quotes where Stewart and Lautner praise each other and quotes the “friend” as saying such mutual admiration leaves Pattinson “worried sick.”

We’d go on, but Gossip Cop feels a little “sick” ourselves.

Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner talk and appear together… when they work on and promote movies together.

And that’s it.

They are not dating.

They are not having “an affair.”

Gossip Cop has spoken with sources close to both actors and close to “Twilight” for months. Rumors of romance were ridiculous then. They are ridiculous now.

End of story.

You would think the way Perez Hilton has been stealing Gossip Cop exclusives (without linking to us), he would already know the answer to the question he posed, “Orlando And K-Stew?!“

Or maybe he’s simply less interested in fact-checking (and the truth) than he is in sensationalism.

Either way, Perez writes, “Rumors are swirling that Orlando Bloom, who is in a serious relationship with Victoria’s Secret model Miranda Kerr, is cheating with none other than Kristen Stewart!”

Lifting the same inaccurate Star magazine story Gossip Cop busted FIVE DAYS AGO, Perez claims a “source” says while in Sundance, “‘their chemistry was explosive’ and that ‘things got intense’ just before the pair of them left to hook up in Kristen’s rented condo.”

First, the story is WRONG. Bloom and Stewart NEVER hooked up.

Second, Stewart did NOT rent a condo in Sundance.

Third, the story is STILL wrong, the way it was FIVE DAYS AGO when we verified with sources close to the actress.

“Orlando Cheating with Kristen” screams the headline of an article in the Star.

The tabloid is, of course, referring to Orlando Bloom and “Twilight” star Kristen Stewart.

According to the mag, “Orlando Bloom didn’t look like he was missing girlfriend Miranda Kerr, who was in St. Bart’s, while shamelessly flirting with Kristen Stewart at the Sundance Film Festival.”

The Star claims Stewart was celebrating with friends at a joint in Sundance when “Orlando came over to congratulate her, and the chemistry was explosive!”

Explosive?!

Wait, it gets worse.

After allegedly moving to a private table, reports the Star, “Orlando grabbed her hand, and she was touching his chest. Things were intense.”

Yes. So much worse…

After leaving the bar, the Star claims, “They hooked up that night at a condo Kristen rented. She said it was wild, and she’d love to do it again!”

Minor point: Stewart didn’t rent a condo in Sundance.

Major point: This NEVER happened.

Stewart and Bloom did not hook up, sources close to the situation (and no, we’re not talking about the dude from Jersey Shore) assure Gossip Cop.

The new Kristen Stewart rock pic The Runaways made a splash at Sundance, but it was an alleged bid to get booze that wrongly made headlines.

According to an OK! magazine item picked up and spread everywhere, the Twilight star tried to get into a happy hour at Tao in Park City, Utah on Saturday, “but much to her dismay, she was denied entrance because she was underage,” according to a so-called “onlooker.”

Along with two companions, Stewart reportedly “went around the back entrance and just wanted to hang out for a little bit” before attending the Joan Jett concert, the mag’s witness claims. But when they started walking in, “the bouncer stopped them and asked for their IDs,” turning the 19-year-old Stewart away despite her friends’ protests. “They huddled up for a few minutes, discussing what to do next and eventually left,” claims OK!‘s “eyewitness.”

All of this would be (mildly) interesting… if it were true.

But this version of events, in which Stewart wanders around and looks to kill time at a happy hour, never happened.

Here’s how Stewart actually spent Saturday, a member of her entourage exclusively tells Gossip Cop.

At 2:15pm there was a Sundance premiere for Stewart’s other new film, Welcome to the Rileys, followed by a Q&A session. Everyone then went back to the hotel, changed, and headed out for a Runaways cast dinner at a restaurant called Spruce. After eating, Stewart and others went straight from dinner through the backstage door at Harry O’s to attend Jett’s performance.

The actress went from her Rileys commitment to the Runaways dinner to the concert, never stopping for drinks.

Gossip Cop is glad to have bounced this bogus bar story.

The Sundance Film Festival will see the premiere on Sunday of the Joan Jett biopic The Runaways, starring “New Moon” mates Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning.

There has been buzz that Stewart and Fanning will also attend Jett’s performance with The Blackhearts on Saturday night at Harry O’s in Park City, Utah. Gossip Cop can confirm that Stewart does plan to be there, as does Fanning.

But another rumor cropping up has Robert Pattinson hitting Sundance for the premiere of Stewart’s new film, and Gossip Cop can report that there is not truth to that speculation.

Remember, though, that Pattinson will be participating tonight in an awfully good cause – the “Hope for Haiti” telethon, as we first noted earlier this week.
