Stevie Wonder has apologized for implying that Frank Ocean is “confused” about his sexual orientation.

In a recent interview with The Guardian, Wonder was asked about the hip-hop performer recently coming out and admitting his love for a man.

“I think honestly, some people who think they’re gay, they’re confused,” said Wonder. “People can misconstrue closeness for love. People can feel connected, they bond. I’m not saying all [gay people are confused]. Some people have a desire to be with the same sex. But that’s them.”

Stevie Wonder has filed for divorce from fashion designer Kai Millard Morris.

The couple, married since 2001, have been separated since October 2009.

In the divorce documents, obtained by TMZ, Wonder cites “irreconcilable differences” and seeks joint custody of his two sons with Morris.

Alpha Lorenzo Walker, who says he’s the singer’s nephew, and his girlfriend Tamara Eileen Diaz, have been charged with allegedly trying to shake down Wonder.

The pair sought $5 million in hush money after threatening to go to the tabloids with a story about how Walker was the child of an incestuous encounter between Wonder and the musician’s sister.
