According to the mag’s website, Kutcher was “photographed Friday on the set of the Steve Jobs biopic dressed as the late Apple innovator.”

Social media maven Ashton Kutcher has been tapped to star as Apple creator Steve Jobs in an independent film titled Jobs, his rep confirms to Gossip Cop.

The biopic is slated to go into production in May when Kutcher is off from shooting “Two and a Half Men.”

According to Now magazine, which started the rumor, Clooney is “battling it out” with his onetime “ER” co-star Noah Wyle to portray the technology and business legend, who died last month.

The death of Steve Jobs has led to tributes in every format, as the world mourns the loss of the iconic innovator to pancreatic cancer at just 56 years old.

Next week will see a number of magazine covers honoring the Apple co-founder, but one in particular has generated some controversy.

The New Yorker will print a cover depicting Jobs, in his famous black turtleneck, arriving at Heaven’s “pearly gates,” where St. Peter is shown checking an iPad.
