Spencer Pratt has apologized to wife Heidi Montag for his recent behavior.

The former reality TV star, who reportedly tried to force Montag into doing another series by threatening to release an alleged sex tape, expressed remorse as most husbands do — in an e-mail to the Associated Press.

Pratt describes his conduct after Montag filed for divorce as “outrageous and infantile.”

Karissa Shannon, the Playboy Playmate who alleges Spencer Pratt stole a camera containing private sex footage, is reportedly threatening to sue Pratt to retrieve the sensitive material.

Her lawyer has sent Pratt a letter claiming that he is in possession of video “taken from [Shannon],” and demanding that it be returned immediately, according to TMZ.

Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt have reportedly ended negotiations with Vivid Entertainment to release a sex tape.

In a letter to Vivid kingpin Steven Hirsch, Pratt’s camp claims that his estranged wife “made it very clear that she is not interested” and that “it looks like she pulled the kill switch,” according to TMZ.

Karissa Shannon, the Playboy Playmate who claims to be Heidi Montag’s sex tape partner, alleges that Spencer Pratt stole the footage.

“There is a sex tape of me and Heidi,” confirms Shannon, who adds that Pratt was not there when they shot it.

“It’s just me and Heidi, that’s it.”

Somehow, the Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag sex tape story has managed to get even worse.

On Friday Gossip Cop confirmed that Pratt had spoken with adult video powerhouse Vivid Entertainment about selling footage he claims shows the former couple having sex.

Now there is a report that Pratt and Montag met up in Costa Rica, and he’s told his soon-to-be ex-wife he intends to release the (purported) explicit video unless Montag agrees to do another reality series with him.

He has requested a meeting with Vivid Entertainment. The company’s head, Steven Hirsch, confirms to Gossip Cop, “We are in early negotiations to possibly come to terms for a deal.”
