Lovato, who has publicly shared her struggles with bulimia, took issue with a character saying, “I could just eat you up, well if I ate.”

Lovato said she finds it “really funny how a company can lose one of their actress’ from the pressures of an EATING DISORDER and yet still make joke[s] about that very disease.”

Demi Lovato is giving a live concert for the first time in almost a year.

The singer announced today on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show that she’s giving two shows in September as a special “thank you” to her devoted fans.

Lovato will perform at New York’s Hammerstein Ballroom on September 17 and at Club Nokia in Los Angeles on September 24.

Demi Lovato is leaving “Sonny with a Chance.”

The young star has opted out of her Disney Channel show to focus on her health and recovery, Gossip Cop confirms.

The actress entered treatment for “physical and emotional issues” last October. She returned home in January.

“We respect Demi’s decision to focus full-time on her music and not immediately return to her acting career,” said Disney in a statement.

“She is a talented young woman and our hearts are with her as she continues to take action to improve her health and bounce back from adversity.”
