Rupert Murdoch has agreed to pay damages to three dozen victims of his tabloids’ phone hacking scandal, including an approximate $200,000 settlement with Jude Law.

The judgment was announced on Thursday.

Other claimants receiving payment include Law’s ex-wife Sadie Frost, government officials, and high-profile athletes.

News Group Newspapers, which owned the now-closed News of the World tab in Britain, admitted that it published 16 articles about Law between 2003 and 2006 that used information obtained by hacking phones.

In a statement, the actor noted that Murdoch’s company was “prepared to do anything to sell their newspapers and to make money, irrespective of the impact it had on people’s lives.”

Law added, “For me this case was never about money. It was about standing up for myself and finding out what had happened.”

His onetime girlfriend, Sienna Miller, previously received a settlement from Murdoch and gave testimony last November in which she described feeling “violated” and “paranoid” due to the tabloids’ practices.

In testimony at the government-sponsored probe into British media ethics, Sienna Miller says invasive press tactics made her “intensely scared.”

The actress describes being subjected to a “web of surveillance” in which tabloids listened to her phone messages and read her emails to harvest intimate details about Miller’s life.

“It was impossible to lead any kind of normal life,” she told the panel on Thursday, adding that she felt “violated, and paranoid and anxious constantly.”

In addition to the electronic monitoring, Miller says the paparazzi made her afraid to leave the house with their aggressive pursuit of her in cars and by foot.

“I would often find myself – I was 21 – at midnight running down a dark street on my own with 10 big men chasing me,” recalls the star. “And the fact that they had cameras in their hand meant that that was legal, but if you take away the cameras, what have you got?”

Miller won a case against The Sun and the since-closed News of the World in 2008 over their breach of her privacy.

“I wanted to know who knew, who had access to my telephone numbers, who had been listening to me… I wanted to get to the bottom of it,” she explained.

Earlier this week, Hugh Grant testified that the Mail on Sunday hacked his phone for a 2007 story.

It’s been announced that former tabloid editor Piers Morgan and Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling are among the high-profile witnesses who will testify in the probe.

Robert Pattinson‘s friend Tom Sturridge has been hanging out with Sienna Miller.

But Star magazine smells a juicier rumor, so the tabloid pretends to smell trouble.

Miller was reportedly seen leaving Pattinson’s London hotel after his Water for Elephants premiere there on May 3.

Rather than use logic to conclude she’d been celebrating with a group including Sturridge and Pattinson, the magazine makes it seem as though something scandalous happened.

When it comes to her boyfriend Pattinson, claims Star, Kristen Stewart “suspects the worst – and she’s not putting up with it.”

An “insider” tells the tabloid Stewart was steaming about Miller.

“Kristen had a tearful fight with Rob during a transatlantic phone call,” alleges the Star source. “She was furious and called him to ask what he was doing. They ended up getting in an ugly fight.”

No they didn’t, because Stewart isn’t indulgently hysterical like Star, and she understands there’s nothing going on between Miller and Pattinson.

Gossip Cop doesn’t “suspect the worst” with Star.

Do not invite Piers Morgan and Hugh Grant to the same dinner party.

Morgan just slammed Grant on Twitter, and publicly banned him from his show, “Piers Morgan Tonight.”

The CNN host tweeted, “Hugh Grant is now banned, in perpetuity, from @PiersTonight and Life Stories. And anything else I ever do. Tedious little man.”

Morgan, a former editor of the British paper News of the World – which recently paid out Sienna Miller for allegedly hacking into her cell phone - was ticked off by an interview Grant did today with BBC Radio host Richard Bacon.

In the 10-minute long exchange with Bacon, Grant, who himself had his phone hacked, unleashed his distaste for England’s tabloids.

The Love Actually star said, “The tabloid press is completely unnecessary… We don’t need them, we don’t want them, and the sooner they go out of business the better.”

Morgan, who we’re told has a longstanding feud with Grant, apparently took personal umbrage to the actor’s statements, further tweeting, “Listening to Bishop Hugh Grant telling @richardpbacon he wants popular newspapers eradicated. I feel the same about his crap movies.”

Sienna Miller just won $162,500 from News of the World after the British tab allegedly tapped into her cell phone’s voicemail to snoop for scoops.

Miller, who dated Jude Law, was among more than 20 celebrities who claimed the paper hired a private investigator to hack into their cell phones.

After the actress’s victory in court today, her lawyer said, “Ms. Miller’s primary concern has never been how much money would be awarded by way of compensation, but to know exactly what the extent of the hacking was.”

As part of the settlement, News of the World will also have to turn over documents to Miller.

Lindsay Lohan was selected to play Victoria Gotti by Gotti herself, beating out a number of other actresses rumored for the role.

“I know her,” Lohan tells Gossip Cop.

John Travolta is set to star as mobster John Gotti (Victoria’s father) in an upcoming film about the infamous family.

Sienna Miller and Blake Lively were among the stars supposedly up for the Victoria role before Lohan snagged it.

Nothing has been signed yet, but Gossip Cop will monitor the final casting.

Earlier this week came overheated reports that Sienna Miller was eager to strike up a “friendship” with Robert Pattinson.

The rumor apparently originated with Miller hanging around Pattinson pal Tom Sturridge and supposedly being “keen to get to know hunk Robert.”

“I think she’s been texting Rob regularly,” claims a so-called “insider.”

When tabloid “sources” can only muster the confidence to “think” something is true, it’s a pretty good indication that it’s not.

Either way, it wasn’t long before other outlets inflated the non-story into: “Is Sienna Miller Trying to Steal Robert Pattinson?”

According to the newly exaggerated rumors, Miller “has been doing some serious flirty texting” with Pattinson and might be “trying to create a Robenna.”

“Now where does little ol’ Kristen Stewart stand in this love triangle that Sienna is trying so hard to form,” wonders one site.

Oh, please.

It’s the rumor mill that’s “trying so hard to form” an alleged love triangle here.

Miller recently split (again) with Jude Law. Apparently, being British and single is enough to make her a supposedly “serious” threat to “steal” Pattinson.

Like countless previous fictional relationship crises for Stewart and Pattinson, this one is just junk.

Lily Allen is blasting a gossip columnist who claims Allen and Sam Cooper are planning to marry in the aftermath of her recent miscarriage.

The Daily Mail‘s Katie Nicholl quotes a so-called “friend” of the couple as saying, “They realised through their grief that they absolutely adore one another and cannot live without each other.” Nicholl goes on to speculate about the location of the ceremony and reception.

Allen, who’s also recovering from blood poisoning, took to Twitter to say exactly what she thought of Nicholl.

Allen writes, “Katie Nicholl I THINK you’re a c**t, leave me out of your sh**ty column, you know nothing about the intimate details of my life.”

“Theres (sic) a time and a place for your musings where i’m concerned, and it’s not now,” adds the singer.

Gossip Cop has busted Nicholl’s “musings” before, including her wrong assertions about Sienna Miller and Charlize Theron following Kabbalah, as well as her baseless claim that Uma Thurman planned to marry at Kensington Palace.

As of now, the Allen article is still posted to the Daily Mail‘s website, and Nicholl has not responded.

Sienna Miller has Jude Law on her arm again, but does she have something unexpected on her wrist?

According to the Mail on Sunday, a red bracelet Miller donned recently means she’s “turned to Kabbalah,” the mystical faith made famous by Madonna and others.

The actress has supposedly “attended meetings at the Kabbalah centre in New York” and “has told friends she is keen to learn more” about the discipline.

A so-called “friend” tells the paper, “Sienna has joined Kabbalah… She certainly seems fascinated, and with so many famous devotees, joining won’t do her career any harm either.”

The only “harm” here is what the Mail does to the facts. Earlier this year, the same paper (and same writer) insisted a red bracelet on her wrist meant Charlize Theron had turned to Kabbalah.

She hadn’t, and Gossip Cop busted the rumor.

The Mail‘s spiritual speculation has gotten no sharper.

A rep for Miller tells Gossip Cop that talk of the actress following Kabbalah is “made up.”

“Jude Law and Sienna Miller buying an LA home together,” reads the headline of a British OK! article, whose sub-headline repeats, “Actors Jude Law and Sienna Miller get set to purchase a house together.”

Still not sure what they plan to do?

No worries.

According to the first line of the story, “Jude Law and Sienna Miller are set to buy a house together in Los Angeles.”

Not clear enough?

The second line of the piece notes, “Actors Jude Law and Sienna Miller, who rekindled their relationship at the end of last year, have reportedly put in a £3 million [$4.8 million] offer on a Malibu home.”

OK! further claims the “lavish property” they’re buying boasts “an incredible ocean view and its own private white sandy beach. “

Adds a so-called source, “They’re turning their backs on red carpet romance and opting for a private life. Jude wanted to buy a place they could call their own, where they could spend time with family away from the limelight.”

Gossip Cop will cut to the chase. No matter how many ways OK! phrases and re-phrases that the couple is buying a house together in the Los Angeles-area, it’s still inaccurate.

Law’s rep confirmed to Gossip Cop that the article is “Not true.”

Like a bad flu spreading through the halls of a middle school comes the claim from the British tab, The Sun, that Jude Law and Sienna Miller “will be moving back in together next year.”

The story, which winged its way to the U.S. and across the globe, reports that the couple, who rekindled while both were on Broadway, plan to cohabitate beginning this spring.

According to a “source,” who conveniently laid out the WHO, WHAT, WHERE, WHEN and HOW in a perfectly phrased sound bite, “They have told staff that they are in love and will be moving back to London in the spring and they will be living together as a couple once again.”

But just as Gossip Cop was about to buy them a “Welcome Mat” that read, “Sienna & Jude,” a source close to Miller told us us it was unlikely they’re setting up house together since they both have their own places in London. The source also noted that actress will be in New York for a bit, and wouldn’t even have the time to look for a new home for them.

Yes, it’s true that Sienna Miller and Jude Law are both in New York, performing on Broadway, but this is the last time we are going to say this – there is currently no second act between the two.

A little more than a week ago Gossip Cop shot down rumors that Law and Miller had rekindled, and yet our good friends as Us Weekly for some reason have reignited the rumored romance with a piece titled, “Jude & Sienna: On!”

According to an Us source, the former flames are “hooking up.” A “second source” adds, “they are fooling around again.”

Gossip Cop isn’t sure who Us Weekly’s sources are, but we are fairly certain they are mistaken. While Law and Miller have seen each other, mostly because she’s starring in “After Miss Julie” with Law’s best buddy Jonny Lee Miller, they have NOT reconnected. Law’s rep reiterated to Gossip Cop that talk of them “hooking up” is “not true.” 

However, and it’s a BIG however, it wouldn’t surprise us, based on the frequency in which they’ve recently seen each other, if they begin dating again since the two have residual feelings for one another.

Are Jude Law and Sienna Miller really rekindling their relationship? OK! magazine claims the two “have had a series of secret meetings in New York, where they are both appearing on Broadway.”

“Sienna and Jude have met up a few times and got on really well,” says a so-called source, who added, “they [have] always remained close, so who knows where this will lead to next.” A number of places like Perez “Scoop” Hilton and E! repeated this reporting.

Well, Gossip Cop – your trusted celebrity reporting pal – can tell you that these accounts are wholly inaccurate.

It’s true they travel in the same circles, are both on Broadway, and are linked through Jonny Lee Miller (her co-star in “After Miss Julie” and Law’s best buddy), but while they have recently run into each other a few times, they most assuredly have NOT reconnected. Nor have they had “secret meetings.”

Other than that, OK! spelled their names correctly and was right about them both currently starring on Broadway.

But could this happen down the road? “Quite possibly,” said a source close to the actress, who has remained fond of Law.

Even the New York Times, the so-called newspaper of record, gets it wrong sometimes.

In an article about Sienna Miller in yesterday’s Arts & Leisure section, the opening paragraph about her starring in the Broadway show “After Miss Julie,” begins, “‘SERIAL MILLER’ is what the London tabloids like to call the 27-year-old actress Sienna Miller, in honor of her long and well-documented romantic history. Her flings have included Jude Law, Heath Ledger, Daniel Craig, Sean Combs, James Franco and most recently the married oil heir Balthazar Getty, with whom she was photographed topless and in a sailor hat.”

For the record, Miller did NOT have flings with Heath Ledger and Sean Combs. While the Times corrected those inaccuracies online (with an addendum at the bottom of the story), the newspaper’s mistakes were still in black-and-white in the print edition.

OK, so they fixed those gaffs (online), but Gossip Cop was shocked to see that the New York Times referred to Miller’s involvement with Jude Law as one of her “flings.”

First of all, the newspaper contradicted itself, and downgraded their connection.

Only six weeks earlier, in a piece about Jude Law, the Times wrote, “Mr. Law is a regular presence in tabloid gossip columns. His divorce from the mother of his three children and his relationship with the actress Sienna Miller were both highly public [emphasis supplied].”

So the Times felt Law was in a “relationship” but Miller only had a fling?

Possible sexism aside, it’s poor reporting, especially since the Law-Miller “fling” lasted three years – and the couple were engaged, a fact the New York Times had mentioned on several other occasions. For example, in a 2005 piece about Law’s fling with his children’s nanny, the Times referred to Miller as his “fiancée” and noted, “The couple became engaged on Dec. 25, 2004.”

Gossip Cop doesn’t think it was just one of those “flings,” and feels the New York Times might owe Miller an apology for connecting her to two men with whom she was never involved, and flinging off a long-term relationship, which included an engagement.

In a piece titled, “Sienna and Jude bark together,” the Sun reports that Sienna Miller and Jude Law had a reunion recently at a party thrown by Jonny Lee Miller, who stars opposite Sienna in the Broadway play, “After Miss Julie,” and is also a good buddy of Law, who’s currently on Broadway as well in “Hamlet.”

According to the paper, the two stars were “delighted” to see each other when “Johnny Lee Miller… staged a bash for his co-star’s dog Bess, which has just recovered from a kidney infection.” 

And what a delightful dog tail, er, tale it is. Gossip Cop, however, has a bone or two to pick. The dog that Sienna now has is not named “Bess” – it’s named “Porgy.” Close. And her co-star spells his name “Jonny,” not “Johnny.”

While we were already skeptical of this alleged pooch party story, Sienna’s rep told Gossip Cop, “Someone made this up.” And not well either.

Swift Response:

Wow, the week started off with a bang, thanks to Kanye West and his ridiculously rude interruption of Taylor Swift at the MTV Video Music Awards. You’ll recall his outburst: “Yo Taylor, I’m really happy for you . . . but Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time,” leaving Swift speechless and the audience stunned. Well, Gossip Cop found out that he was then tossed, and security was notified not to let him return.

Gossip Cop was way ahead of the curve, reporting that Kanye was still going to perform on the first episode of “The Jay Leno Show,” along with Jay-Z and Rihanna, despite the controversy – and that he was also going to be a last-minute guest. We also had footage of Kanye escaping from New York to California for his Leno appearance. The next day Swift was a guest on “The View,” where she recapped what was going through her mind during the incident. “I think my overall thought process was something like, ‘Wow I can’t believe I won. This is awesome. Don’t trip and fall. I’m going to get to thank the fans, this is so cool—oh, Kanye West is here,” she said, adding, “Kanye West is here, cool haircut, what are you doing there? And then ouch, and then I guess I’m not going to get to thank the fans.” At the time of the morning gabfest, Swift said she hadn’t heard from Kayne, but right after the telecast, he made amends and “The View” released a statement saying, “[Kanye] spoke personally to the country music superstar via telephone and has apologized to the 19-year-old singer. She has accepted Mr. West’s apology.”

Later there was a report that Kanye was possibly suicidal, but that wasn’t true. What is true is that Kanye should steer clear of Pink. The outspoken singer, who tweeted after the VMAs that Kanye is the “biggest piece of [expletive] on earth,” didn’t let go. A couple of days later, while performing in Seattle, she told the audience that she carried a purse with brass knuckles and described the damage she’d have done to Kanye had he tried a similar stunt with her. To quote Swift, “ouch.”

“Sex” Encounters:

There were plenty of “Sex” tapes – and talk. Some of it wrong. A slew of outlets reported that Chris Noth, aka Mr. Big, was engaged. But Noth told Gossip Cop it was “not true.” He later texted us again to say OK! “made up a completely bogus” piece about him. “I have not said I am engaged. Until I do it’s all BS.” (While OK! corrected its error, not surprisingly Perez Hilton later published the original, inaccurate report.) Don’t be surprised, however, if Noth does get engaged in the not too distant future.

We also played Kim Cattrall’s “Sex” encounters on video. OK, it’s not that tawdry but we had great footage of Cattrall signing autographs and posing for pictures with loads of fans in New York, and footage of Sarah Jessica Parker and Cattrall – in a tongue-wagging costume – causing an eruption of excitement among fans and photographers.

Relationship Wrongs:

There were reports that Mischa Barton was dating an aspiring actor named Leo Wyndham for more than a month, but it’s not true that she’s sharing her “Beautiful Life” with him.

The British edition of OK! tried to insinuate that it was Sienna Miller time for Josh Hartnett after the two ran into each in a New York lounge. Somehow the two running into each other and kissing one another hello was turned into them “getting close,” “cosying,” and “canoodling.” The truth, though, is the two are just friends – and that’s it!

In what seems like a desperate attempt to cover their tracks after having incorrectly reported last week that Jessica Simpson was secretly hooking up with John Mayer, this week the tab is beginning to distancing itself from that story – and provide an out – with a pieced called, “John Betrays Jessica Already.” Regardless, both pieces are wrong, since Simpson’s rep told Gossip Cop that the two haven’t seen each other in some time.

Usually we don’t even waste our time with nonsense in the Globe, but there was a story so mean and inaccurate – “Travolta Divorce Shocker!” – that we had to deal with it. The story claimed, “John Travolta and Kelly Preston’s marriage has been so battered in the wake of their beloved son Jett’s tragic death, friends fear they’re headed for divorce!” Well, Travolta’s rep came out swinging, calling the hatchet piece, “100 percent false” and “a very hurtful lie.”

Toward the end of the week was a National Enquirer story titled “‘Braveheart’ & Cold Feet,” alleging that Mel Gibson is having second thoughts about marrying pregnant girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva. We found it odd since we didn’t know there were any marriage plans, and his rep also said he had “never even heard of impending nuptials,” let alone his supposed second thoughts.

Berry Clear:

Halle Berry set the record straight this week when she appeared on “The Jay Leno Show.” After the talk show host asked, “How do you always look so good… you always look terrific,” she thanked him and replied that it “must mean all these pregnancies rumors can be, like, put to bed.” The Oscar winner went on to say she was getting a “complex” from all the pregnancy talk, adding that she had begun to think, “I gotta stop with all the burgers or something.” You would have thought that would have ended the pregnancies rumors, but no. Perez Hilton blogged the next day: “Not so fast, Miz Berry. We’re not convinced.” And where’s Fidel buried, Perez?

Daisy Dog:

Shortly after Jessica Simpson’s dog was snatched by a coyote, the star’s rep gave Gossip Cop some heart-wrenching details about how the family “saw it happen” and “tried to go after, but the coyote took [Daisy] and went.” Incredibly, the next day, there were a number of outlets that were not only unsympathetic but also insensitive – and inaccurate, especially when reporting that Simpson contacted dog-finding service FindToto.com to help locate Daisy. “Jessica Calls in Experts to Aid Dog Search,” said TMZ, and Perez Hilton picked up the story and mocked, “Simpleton Calls in Doggy Experts!” In reality, it was the company that called her and offered their services.

And then there was “Daisy-gate.” Janet Charlton’s Hollywood claimed that Daisy was taken six days earlier than reported, when in the care of Tina Simpson, while Jessica was still out of town working on her new reality show. But instead of people blaming her mom, Charlton said, “although Jessica is beyond heartbroken, she is covering up for her mother.” We’re waiting for next week’s angle about how aliens abducted Daisy.

Miscellaneous Mistakes:

Although Perez Hilton has learned how to cut-and-paste, he still doesn’t know how to read. In an article from the Telegraph that he lifted, it stated that Emma Watson and Daniel Radcliffe were going to be in the Guinness World Records book for being the “highest grossing lead actors of the decade.” But instead of realizing that Radcliffe’s films earned an average of $558 million and Watson’s movies averaged out to $753 million, “Scoop” Hilton reported that they – the actors – earned that amount of money. Nice try.

Then there was that odd Star story that Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne “wear each other’s things all the time” because “Ozzy gets so confused about which clothes are whose, [so] he ends up just putting on the first thing he grabs,” including Sharon’s jackets. Simply, that story just didn’t fit right.

The Star’s sister publication National Enquirer didn’t fare too well either. In a piece about Ellen DeGeneres titled, “‘Idol’ Threat,” the supermarket tab mistakenly claimed “Ellen doesn’t want the seat in the middle,” but rather the talk show host “wants to be the last judge to offer an opinion so her words will be the final thing ‘Idol’ fans hear on contestants.” Simon Cowell is not giving up his perch nor, as the rag wrongly reported, is “she’s planning to make ‘Idol’ a “kinder, gentler show.”

OK! had a superbadly reported story that said Seth Rogen and Cameron Diaz are feuding on the set of “The Green Hornet.” The mag claimed, “There have been occasions where he’s flown off the handle for no reason, leading her to storm off set.” His rep told Gossip Cop that there was “not one iota of truth” to the story.

And the U.K. version of OK! wasn’t that OK either with its story that reported, “Madonna will perform a duet with Janet Jackson as a tribute to Michael Jackson… after bonding over dinner after Sunday’s MTV Video Music Awards.” After hearing that rumor Cop stepped in. There’s no duet scheduled, and Madonna’s rep told Gossip Cop, “They did not meet at or after [the] VMAs.”

Then there was that vacant Lindsay Lohan rumor that she was kicked out of New York’s Bowery Hotel after a fight with Samantha Ronson. According to Hollyscoop, while in a fight with Ronson, Lohan allegedly “threw a room-service tray at what she thought was her girlfriend’s door.” Must have been a pretty long throw because, at the time of the supposed incident, Lohan was in Austin, TX, working on her movie “Machete,” and Ronson was in L.A. Oops.

Weekly Wins:

Among the “wins” for Gossip Cop this week was the exclusive that Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony were given a private tour of the White with their kids Emme and Max, and that while mom and dad spoke to the president inside the Oval Office, Max ran wild around the White House. Later that day the couple went to Capitol Hill, where they discussed education with the Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi.  And that evening they saw the president again at the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute’s annual awards gala, where backstage before Barack Obama spoke, he led senators and members of congress in singing “Happy Birthday” to Anthony, who was honored at the event with a Lifetime Achievement Award.

Gossip Gop was spittin’ mad this week when a site posted “upskirt” shots of Taylor Momsen while on the set of “Gossip Girl.” Taylor is just 16-years-old, a minor, and those paparazzi, who focused their lenses to get an “upskirt” of a minor, should be ashamed of themselves. We can proudly report that after we singled out a particular site for its offensive photos – and sent an accompanying letter urging it to remove the photos because they are invasive and inappropriate – the blog took down the pictures.

‘Twilight’ Highlights:

The week began with a ludicrous story by the Aussie mag NW, which claimed that Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart gave an unnamed U.S. magazine a joint interview about their “steamy relationship.” Among the topics covered: the “shock love triangle” that nearly tore them apart, their “intense sexual chemistry,” and the truth about their marriage plans.  None of it is true other than the fact that they have sat down for interviews to coincide with the release of “Eclipse.” Then we cleared up a little confusion about a showing of “New Moon” in Knoxville, TN on November 17 – three days before the highly anticipated movie opens nationwide. It’s a special, charity screening and just Stewart and Taylor Lautner are slated to attend – no Pattinson.

OK!, for the third week in a row, had a ridiculous “Twilight” tall tale. This week’s cover featured a photo of Pattinson and Stewart with the headline, “Wedding of the Year,” and promised inside to have the “the scoop on the big-screen ceremony, plus what to expect when Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson really tie the knot.” Besides the fact that they are not engaged in real-life, as OK! had previously claimed, the article went on and on describing what the “Twilight Saga” wedding looks like. But the wedding takes place in “Breaking Dawn,” not “Eclipse,” the installment they are currently shooting. So how is it possible that they have the “scoop on the big-screen ceremony?” Wrong again.

Fortunately all these false reports haven’t affected ticket sales. In fact, today is EXACTLY TWO MONTHS before the release of “New Moon,” and not only are online sales brisk, but the L.A. Times reported that the film “is selling out screenings earlier than any other movie to date.”

And then the tweet heard ’round the world. Tweeting on Peter Facinelli’s account, Robert Pattinson typed, “Hi, it’s Rob … My first and last tweet. My dad made me do it.” Shortly after that, Facinelli, through his rep, told Gossip Cop EXCLUSIVELY that Rob “relishes his privacy, but we’re hanging out and he wanted to say hi to the fans.”

On a final note, this week we lost Patrick Swayze, star of such films as “Dirty Dancing” and “Ghost.” Swayze, who battled pancreatic cancer, was 57. Gossip Cop remembers Swayze as a guy who, while in the midst of opening his New York restaurant Mulholland Drive Café back in 1990, was gracious and kind to this one-time cub reporter – and throughout the years. He will be greatly missed.

“Are Sienna and Josh Getting Close,” trumpets the British edition of OK!, adding, “British Beauty Spied Canoodling With Hunk.”

According to the tab, while Sienna Miller was at the hip Rose Bar in New York, she was “spotted cosying up to heartthrob Josh Hartnett.” A so-called source claims, “She eyed Josh and instantly leapt out of her seat to shower him with a public display of affection.” Then, say their spies, Hartnett was “thrilled with the attention and returned Sienna’s advances.”

OK, now let’s dissect this account by OK! Basically, Miller spotted Hartnett and they kissed each other hello. But “getting close,” “cosying, and “canoodling?” No. Talk of them having anything more than a friendly interaction is “fabricated,” says her rep. And Hartnett’s spokeswoman assured Gossip Cop, they are “friends” and “are not dating.”
