In a new cover interview with AARP, Sharon Stone opens up about a series of personal travails, including her brain hemorrhage, her miscarriages and her ugly divorce.

Stone also discusses how she’s managed to fight through all of that pain.

The Oscar nominated actress nearly died when she suffered subarachnoid hemorrhage in 2001.

“I came out of the hospital with short- and long-term memory loss,” she says. “My lower left leg was numb. I couldn’t hear out of my right ear. The side of my face was falling down.”

Stone recalls, “I thought, ‘I’ll never be pretty again. Who’s going to want to be around me?’”

The star endured multiple miscarriages, including two with her ex-husband, Phil Bronstein.

Their marriage eventually ended in ugly fashion.

“He just didn’t see me, talk to me, look at me,” says Stone, who believes that Bronstein’s “initial intention with me was probably corrupt. I was suckered. I’m embarrassed to say that.”

But Stone is now in a much better place, raising her young adopted sons and devoting herself to philanthropic work.

“I’ve made humanitarian causes and my children much more my priority than the Hollywood scene,” she explains.

She adds, “If I’m not going to be a big movie star again, then guess what? That wasn’t my destiny.”

Demi Moore has signed on for her first movie role since announcing her split from Ashton Kutcher.

The actress will play feminist Gloria Steinem in Lovelace, the Amanda Seyfried-starring biopic about porn star Linda Lovelace.

Steinem, a political activist and journalist, was adamantly opposed to pornography and wrote a piece about Lovelace in Ms. Magazine.

Moore is the latest of a slew of big names to join the film, which already includes Peter Sarsgaard as Lovelace’s pornographer husband, Adam Brody as her Deep Throat co-star, Sharon Stone, Hank Azaria, Chris Noth and James Franco, who’s set to make a cameo as Hugh Hefner.

Lovelace is one of two biopics about the adult entertainment star currently underway — Matthew Wilder‘s Inferno, starring Malin Akerman, is slated for a 2013 release.

A trespasser was picked up by the LAPD today outside of Sharon Stone‘s home in the Hollywood Hills.

The police tell Gossip Cop the man was “banging on her gate and ranting.”

We’re told, among other things, the man claimed he had a child with Stone.

The individual, who is around 50 years old, was handcuffed and taken away for a mental evaluation.

In February, Stone obtained a restraining order against Bradly Gooden, a mentally unstable man from Ohio who broke into her house and claimed he was Hillary Clinton‘s son.

Sharon Stone just obtained a restraining order against a man who broke into her house and believes he’s Hillary Clinton‘s son.

According to court papers, Bradly Gooden traveled across country from Ohio to California, where he broke into Stone’s home on February 11.

Throughout the papers, Gooden is referred to as an “obsessed mentally unstable delusional person,” who Stone believes “poses a credible threat of violence and imminent danger” to herself and her children.

After the police found Gooden “laying-in-wait inside the house,” he told the cops, “I’m Bobby Joe Clinton, son of Hillary Clinton,” and that his “mother” bought Stone’s home “as a present.” He added that it’s “now my house… I live here.”

Gooden also said he “wrote the script” for The King’s Speech when he was two-years-old, and that he’s an FBI agent.

“Based on his delusional belief that [Stone's] house was given to him as a present from Hillary Clinton,” read court papers, “Gooden appears determined to return to… [Stone's] house.”

A judge granted the restraining order, and now Gooden can’t come within 100 yards of Stone, her kids or her home.

Elton John was scheduled to perform last night with Billy Joel at the Oracle Arena in Oakland, California, but the concert was scrapped a few days ago because John was still battling an E. coli bacterial infection and the flu. 

Today, Gossip Cop checked in with both his rep and Joel’s spokeswoman, who told us that John is “feeling much better” and has “recovered.” 

So the question is, though he had to cancel a number of performances because of illness, including last night’s, will John still be at his Elton John AIDS Foundation’s “An Enduring Vision” event tomorrow night?

Good news. The musician’s rep confirmed to Gossip Cop that John will definitely be at the fundraiser in New York, which will be hosted by Anderson Cooper, and where President Bill Clinton and Sharon Stone are set to be honored.
