Sean Penn pleaded no contest today to one count of vandalism, stemming from an altercation with a paparazzo in October. He was given probation and sentenced to community service as well as anger management.

Sean Penn allegedly threatened to kill the paparazzo with whom he scuffled last October, according to a report.

In February, Penn was charged with criminal battery and vandalism after Jordan Dawes claimed the actor attacked him while Dawes shot a documentary about paparazzi.

In a new civil lawsuit, Dawes says Penn began “kicking and punching” him, breaking his camera and supposedly threatening, “The next time I see you, you will be in a box.”

According to a report, Sean Penn will be charged on counts of criminal battery and vandalism following an October run-in with paparazzi.

In video captured then by TMZ, the actor approached and kicked a paparazzo in Brentwood, California.
