Kristen Stewart is among the stars just added to Scream 2010.

She’ll be joined by Megan Fox, Alexander Skarsgard, Mickey Rourke, Chris Hemsworth and Marilyn Manson, in addition to previously announced celebs like Sigourney Weaver and Aaron Eckhart.

There will also be a tribute to the end of “Lost,” the premiere of footage from Scream 4, a 25th-anniversary celebration of Back to the Future, and a musical performance by M.I.A.

The event airs on Spike TV on Tuesday, October 19.

When Gossip Cop confirmed – for the third time – that Kristen Stewart didn’t participate in Scream 2009, we thought that’d be the end of it. After all, the only “evidence” to the contrary was that Stewart happened to fly from Vancouver to Los Angeles on the same day the awards show taped. Everything else – official statements, unofficial statements, the fact Stewart didn’t attend the ceremony – seemed to suggest she would not be a part of it.

Never underestimate the stubbornness of bad gossip.

Rather than admit to perhaps being wrong, various outlets INSISTED Stewart had secretly taped material to be included in the show’s broadcast next week. One even charmingly recommended Gossip Cop “Chirp when the TAPED show airs .. Surprise, Surprise.”

Gossip Cop doesn’t “chirp.” We collect facts and report.

When Gossip Cop asked specifically, “If there are going to be any TAPED pieces from Kristen Stewart and/or Robert Pattinson added to the final broadcast,” a rep for the awards show vehemently declared, “NO!”

We don’t pretend to be perfect. We will be wrong on occasion.

But unlike almost everyone else, we’ll own up to it when it happens. We were right about Stewart and Scream 2009.

All week speculation built.

On Monday Gossip Cop told you Kristen Stewart would not be at Spike’s Scream 2009 event.

On Friday Gossip Cop told you Kristen Stewart would not be at Spike’s Scream 2009 event.

On Saturday night in Los Angeles Spike taped the Scream 2009 event. Online chatter insisted Stewart would be there. Gossip Cop kept lines of communication open with sources while other sites insisted we’d been wrong.

Kristen Stewart was not at Scream 2009. Gossip Cop can confirm at this hour what we first reported six days ago.

There will be times when we make errors. Things happen.

This was not one of those times. We appreciate the incredible continued support from all of you.

The Scream 2009 Awards on Spike TV will be taped tomorrow at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles. As we reported on Monday, “Twilight” actor Taylor Lautner will be there, and there will be a premiere of new footage from “New Moon.” But speculation has persisted that some of Lautner’s co-stars will also be making unannounced appearances.

Specifically: today there’s been buzz building that Kristen Stewart is heading to Los Angeles to take part in tomorrow’s taping.

Gossip Cop hates having to deliver disappointing news. But sometimes it’s part of the job when delivering the truth.

We’ve confirmed again with reps for the awards show that Stewart is still NOT part of Scream 2009.

And for people still hoping Robert Pattinson will make an appearance, Gossip Cop’s sources say nothing has changed with him either.

Last week it was reported elsewhere as fact that Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner were slated to attend Spike TV’s Scream 2009 awards, which airs on October 27.

At the time, we noted it was premature to report exactly who was and wasn’t confirmed. Today Gossip Cop has confirmed – ahead of the pack – that so far from “Twilight” ONLY Taylor Lautner is scheduled to attend the awards show. There will be a world premiere of new footage from “New Moon” as well.

Other celebrities who will be in attendance include at the Scream 2009 Awards include: Anna Paquin, Megan Fox, Tobey Maguire, Liv Tyler, Elijah Wood, J.J. Abrams, Quentin Tarantino, Eli Roth, among others.

New York, NY, October 12, 2009 – The stars are aligned for Spike TV’s “SCREAM 2009!”  The 4^th annual event commemorating all things sci-fi, fantasy, horror and comic book will feature the hottest films, TV shows, comics, actors, creators, and icons who have influenced and shaped these genres.  “SCREAM 2009” will also feature World Premieres from some of the most anticipated theatrical and television releases.   The show tapes on Saturday, October 17 at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, CA and will premiere on Spike TV on Tuesday, October 27 (10:00 PM-Midnight, ET/PT).

Continuing its tradition of presenting World Premiere footage, “SCREAM 2009” will feature “Twilight” star Taylor Lautner as he unveils exclusive footage from “The Twilight Saga: New Moon.” “SCREAM 2009” will debut exclusive content from Martin Scorcese’s upcoming thriller “Shutter Island” starring Leonardo DiCaprio.  SCREAM 2009 will also show a sneak peek of the highly-anticipated new television series “V.”

We’ve had our inbox flooded today with questions about the announcement that Spike TV’s Scream 2009 awards telecast on October 27 will feature cast from “New Moon” introducing footage from the highly anticipated “Twilight” sequel.

Here’s what we’ve learned. While it’s been reported elsewhere as fact that the “full cast” will be in attendance, Gossip Cop is told by sources close to the production that specifics are premature. Stars including Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner are still in play for the ceremony, but final arrangements haven’t been confirmed yet, say “Twilight” insiders and Spike.

Gossip Cop will give you official details when everything is hammered out, which we’ve been informed will be early next week.
