While “reporting” a story about Bob Dylan releasing a Christmas album next month called “Christmas In The Heart,” Perez Hilton somehow or another completely missed the point.

“Scoop” Hilton, who scrawled dollar signs on a picture of the singing legend, titled his latest misfire, “Bob Dylan, A Sell-Out? Yup!,” and editorialized, “He’s certainly more corporate than the olden days!”

The reason for Perez’s capitalist complaint?

“There is a major corporate tie in to the album … from a bank!” he writes.

The problem again for “Scoop” is that he just cuts and pastes press releases without fully reading them.

In fact, if he did, he would have realized that far from being a money grubbing sellout, Dylan is generously DONATING EVERY SINGLE PENNY from the upcoming album to Feeding America, an organization that, thanks to the recording, provides more than four million meals during the holidays. Dylan is also DONATING ALL FUTURE U.S. ROYALTIES from the album to Feeding America “in perpetuity.” Oh, and the charitable crooner is also partnering with two international charities to provide meals overseas using royalties from all non-U.S. sales. Says Dylan, “I join the good people of Feeding America in the hope that our efforts can bring some food security to people in need during this holiday season.”

Just to recap: The guy who Perez defaced with “I [heart] $$$” is actually donating millions of meals to charity this Christmas.

Hilton ends with, “Times they are a-changin,’ huh Bob?”

Maybe it’s time for some changes, Perez.

Once again, Perez Hilton has taken a ridiculous report about Lindsay Lohan, refused to waste precious time checking facts, and then spun the tale to make it sound likely.

Yesterday, “Scoop” Hilton picked up a story from the Sun that claimed Lohan has been “tapped… to appear in the upcoming season of [the British version of] Celebrity Big Brother!!!” He added, “producers were reportedly discussing the details with LOLhan in Singapore this week.”

First of all, it’s not happening. Lohan is not doing the reality show. Moreover, she was NEVER “discussing” the details with producers. Lohan’s rep told Gossip Cop that the show’s execs “have been calling and emailing her whole team, and it has been a pass. This is a tacky way to get cheap publicity.”

Unfortunately their publicity stunt worked because Hilton and other equally unreliable sources reprinted this nonsense.

Once again, Perez Hilton poses the questions, and Gossip Cop has to answer what he doesn’t know.

In a piece titled “Madonna on SNL?” Perez begins his post with yet another question: “Could it be?” Here’s a better question: Isn’t Perez, as a so-called celebrity expert, supposed to know these things? (Gossip Cop has answers to both below.)

In the meantime, “Scoop” Hilton goes on to claim Madonna is “apparently set to make her return [to SNL] after 16 years and word has it she’ll likely be performing. Though execs are trying to have her do both, perform and host.”

Answers: Yes, Perez is supposed to know what he’s talking about. And no, Madonna is not slated to be on SNL this season – execs aren’t trying to get her to both perform and host.

A source involved in the show’s production tells Gossip Cop, Perez’s report is “not true.”

Despite the fact that we debunked this junk exactly a week ago, Perez “Scoop” Hilton is today running with a story titled, “Madge To Push Her Body To The Limit In Grueling Six-Day Marathon!” and retells a bogus tale about how “Madonna is currently in training for the Marathon des Sables, a six-day, 151-mile run through Morocco!!”

Not only is Perez, once again, 100 percent wrong, but he’s also a full week late – and not “late,” as in the “late” Fidel Castro. Haha.

Of course, Gossip Cop spoke to Madonna’s rep – that’s right, a week ago – and she told us the marathon rumor was completely untrue.

Nevertheless, journalism’s biggest joker even quoted a made-up “insider” as saying “[Madonna] is serious about doing it,” and then he wishes her, “Good luck, Madge!”

Actually, good luck, Perez, with your running circles around the truth.
