Who says Seth Rogen can’t play a convincing romantic lead?

The comedic actor does just that in the drama Take This Waltz, alongside Oscar nominee Michelle Williams.

The stars play a married couple challenged by some growing pains – including Williams’ eye for their neighbor.

The movie also stars Sarah Silverman and Luke Kirby, as the object of Williams’ affection.

The film had its premiere last fall at the Toronto International Film Festival, and will reportedly make its way into theaters in June.

Ashton Kutcher is “secretly” turning to Sarah Silverman to help him prepare for “Two and a Half Men,” reports the National Enquirer.

According to the tab, since Kutcher’s “old comedy chops… might just be a tad rusty,” Silverman is “coaching him on the finer points of how to trigger yuks in hours-long, intense sessions at his office.”

But that’s not all.

The Enquirer says Silverman might also “be the latest addition to ‘Two and a Half Men,’ signing on as a writer.”

All of this, reiterates the magazine, is being kept “very hush hush.”

In fact, it’s such a secret, not even Kutcher or Silverman know about this.

A source close to the comedienne confirms to GossipCop that the Enquirer story is “completely false.”

The film stars Michael C. Hall, Sarah Silverman, Kate Mara, Judy Greer, Taraji Henson and Rainn Wilson.

Greg Giraldo has died.

A successful comedian known for celebrity roasts and a stint as a judge on “Last Comic Standing,” Giraldo was hospitalized five days ago in New Jersey after overdosing on prescription pills.

He was 44.

A number of comedians took to Twitter to express their condolences. Sarah Silverman tweeted, “RIP Greg Giraldo. Belly-laugh hilarious, prolific, good & kind. A thousand oys can’t express,” and Dane Cook wrote, “Greg Giraldo may you RIP. My thoughts & prayers go to his family, friends & fans.”

Jon Stewart will once again host Comedy Central’s celeb-studded “Night Of Too Many Stars: An Overbooked Concert For Autism Education.”

Ricky Gervais, Tina Fey, Larry David, Stephen Colbert are among the huge roster of stars expected to participate in the event, the network announced on Thursday.

The two-hour event airs on October 21.

“Night Of Too Many Stars” will be built around a comedy concert in New York featuring Steve Carell, Jimmy Fallon, Tracy Morgan, Chris Rock, Joel McHale and many others.

The evening features live performances, sketches and short films.

A Los Angeles phone bank for donations, meanwhile, will be manned by celebrities including Jimmy Kimmel, Jim Parsons, Sofia Vergara and Bryan Cranston.

Actor Andrew Koenig, who played Boner on “Growing Pains,” is missing.

He was last seen on February 14 in Vancouver.

Koenig was supposed to be on a flight to the United States on February 16 but didn’t make it.

His sister, Danielle Koenig, confirms that he was in the city to visit friends but has not been heard from. “Any information we can get on his whereabouts would be helpful.”

A burlesque dancer named Jenny Magenta wrote on her Facebook page that Koenig stayed with her in Vancouver before going missing. She claims Koenig’s parents describe him as “severely depressed.”

Celebs including Sarah Silverman and Alyssa Milano have asked for help locating Koenig.

Anyone with information about Koenig should contact Detective Raymond Payette of the Vancouver Police Department at (604) 717-2534.

The headline of Radar‘s story today, “Exclusive: Jimmy Kimmel Stole New Girlfriend From Show Staffer” is not only 100 percent inaccurate, but the website knows it, too. (We’ll get to that in a second.)

First, Radar reports, “The late-night host started romancing his new girlfriend [Molly McNearney], who is one of his employees, after getting rid of her boyfriend, who also worked on Jimmy Kimmel Live.”

Uh, Jimmy Kimmel did NOT get “rid” of McNearney’s boyfriend. The one-time writer’s assistant left Kimmel in 2006 for a full writer’s position at Carson Daly. And Kimmel only began dating McNearney after she and her boyfriend had split up. In fact, though unfairly portraying Kimmel as a predator, the site acknowledges that McNearney and her ex-boyfriend “decided to call it quits this past summer allowing Kimmel to seriously pursue” her.

Repeat: Kimmel did not get “rid” of McNearney’s ex, so he could date her. They had already broken up, and the ex-boyfriend left the show a few years before for a bigger job.

Radar is also off when it claims that Kimmel’s dating McNearney, the show’s co-head writer, has caused staffers to now become “extremely upset, worried about favoritism and one even blamed being fired on the situation.” Gossip Cop investigated, and no one has been fired from the show in more than a year, and Kimmel and McNearney have only been together for a few months. Additionally, it’s odd that employees would suddenly now be “upset,” considering Kimmel and McNearney have been dating for months – and the staff knew it – only it hadn’t been publicly announced until a few days ago.

Previously, Radar inaccurately reported that Kimmel and McNearney began hooking up while the host was still with longtime girlfriend Sarah Silverman, but that is also absolutely untrue, say sources familiar with the parties involved.

When asked about Radar’s allegations, Kimmel’s rep told Gossip Cop: “We will not even dignify this ludicrous report with any sort of comment.” And while the late night comic’s rep wouldn’t comment – at least we asked. Radar did not even seek a comment from Kimmel’s side.

Did Jimmy Kimmel and ex-girlfriend Sarah Silverman make a sex tape?

A Canadian blogger started rumors a few days ago, citing an “anonymous source” who alleged that the couple recorded a 15-minute tape while on vacation “but forgot the camera in the resort room.” According to the story, a resort employee has the video and is reportedly shopping it around.

Then yesterday the same site posted “a couple screen-photos of the former couple allegedly having sex,” courtesy of an anonymous e-mail, and ran the photos next to one of a shirtless Kimmel next to Ben Affleck. Because if Kimmel is shirtless in one photo . . . he must also be the guy whose face we can’t see in the others?

Well, certainly no one would pick up such a ridiculous, unsubstantiated story, right?

Allie Is Wired, come on down! Never one to let reality get in the way of some good sensationalism, the site runs the story and gasps, “Oh God, say it isn’t so!”

It isn’t. ”The video in question is 100% NOT of Jimmy Kimmel or Sarah Silverman,” a rep for both Kimmel and Silverman told Gossip Cop, as if there were doubt.

It’s been a rough day for the matchmakers over at Star magazine.

Fresh off fabricating a new relationship for Amanda Bynes, the tab has now forged a “fauxmance” for funnygal Sarah Silverman. Star claims “It’s On!” for comedian Rob Huebel and Silverman, who famously dated Jimmy Kimmel.

“Rob feels like he won the lottery,” a source tells the rag, adding, “I wouldn’t be surprised if Rob proposed soon.”

Actually, we think a proposal would be VERY surprising, considering the comedians aren’t even dating. A rep for Silverman tells Gossip Cop the two are “just good friends.”
