Sarah Palin will NOT run for President in 2012.

She revealed the decision in a letter to supporters on Wednesday evening.

Here’s the full text:

October 5, 2011
Wasilla, Alaska

After much prayer and serious consideration, I have decided that I will not be seeking the 2012 GOP nomination for President of the United States. As always, my family comes first and obviously Todd and I put great consideration into family life before making this decision. When we serve, we devote ourselves to God, family and country. My decision maintains this order.

My decision is based upon a review of what common sense Conservatives and Independents have accomplished, especially over the last year. I believe that at this time I can be more effective in a decisive role to help elect other true public servants to office – from the nation’s governors to Congressional seats and the Presidency. We need to continue to actively and aggressively help those who will stop the “fundamental transformation” of our nation and instead seek the restoration of our greatness, our goodness and our constitutional republic based on the rule of law.

From the bottom of my heart I thank those who have supported me and defended my record throughout the years, and encouraged me to run for President. Know that by working together we can bring this country back – and as I’ve always said, one doesn’t need a title to help do it.

I will continue driving the discussion for freedom and free markets, including in the race for President where our candidates must embrace immediate action toward energy independence through domestic resource developments of conventional energy sources, along with renewables.

We must reduce tax burdens and onerous regulations that kill American industry, and our candidates must always push to minimize government to strengthen the economy and allow the private sector to create jobs.

Those will be our priorities so Americans can be confident that a smaller, smarter government that is truly of the people, by the people, and for the people can better serve this most exceptional nation.

In the coming weeks I will help coordinate strategies to assist in replacing the President, re-taking the Senate, and maintaining the House.

Stephen Hanks, the man who laid into Bristol Palin with some vicious heckling about her mother last week, has now apologized.

As seen in the infamous video below, Hanks calls Sarah Palin a “whore” and “the f*cking devil” to Bristol’s face, which, politics aside, isn’t great manners.

Now Hanks has issued an apologetic statement through his lawyer.

“Having had an opportunity to view the camera footage of the incident this past Thursday at the Saddle Ranch Bar & Chop House in West Hollywood, and having reflected on the incident over the weekend, I have come to the conclusion that no matter what my feelings are towards Sarah Palin, I should not have expressed them towards her daughter, Bristol Palin,” says Hanks.

He continues, “I am very passionate about politics, and believe in equality for all Americans. I expressed my feelings in an improper manner in the heat of the moment, and allowed my emotions to get the better of me.”

“My political views are solely mine, and not those of my friends, colleagues or the establishment for which I work,” says Hanks. “I apologize to them for my poor judgment that night, and to Bristol for any hurt may actions may have caused her. I wish Bristol success with her television show, and much happiness in the future.”

Bristol Palin was heckled while riding a mechanical bull and wound up in a heated argument with the man, who called Sarah Palin “the f*cking devil” and a “whore.”

While filming her new reality show at the Saddle Ranch in West Hollywood, Palin encountered screams of “Did you ride Levi like that?” and “Your mother’s a whore” from an angry gentleman at the bar.

Palin walked over and confronted the heckler, and things became even more intense.

Alec Baldwin took to Twitter to voice his disgust over the execution of Troy Davis, who was put to death last night for allegedly murdering police officer Mark MacPhail in 1989, despite some doubts about his guilt.

The actor, who has expressed an interest in a future run for mayor of New York, unleashed a barrage of tweets attacking the Georgia state justice system and used the execution to blast the Bush administration for the Iraqi War.

Baldwin personally slammed Georgia’s governor, writing, “Nathan Deal has disgraced Georgia, the justice system, the country.”

The “30 Rock” star then directed his wrath at former Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld and former Vice President Dick Cheney, tweeting, ”When do Cheney and Rumsfeld go on trial for murder? Will that trial be in Texas? Georgia?”

But what really set Baldwin off was when conservative news blogger Michelle Malkin tweeted, “Waiting for Hollyweirdo @alecbaldwin’s ‘I am Troy Davis’ tweet…,” referring to Davis’ statement of innocence, which many supporters have quoted to voice their objection to his execution.

Baldwin fired back at Malkin that she was “Like Palin, but even more of a hater,” and then encouraged his Twitter followers to go after her as well.

“C’mon!! Let’s go all Town Hall on that supreme thinker @michellemalkin. A world class, crypto fascist hater!” wrote Baldwin.

Malkin responded via Twitter, “Direct your minions’ ire/rage/profanity/racism/sexism at the US Supreme Court, not me.”

Mercede Johnston was just getting warmed up when she called Bristol Palin “evil” and a “sociopath.”

Levi‘s sister hammers his baby mama and her family throughout her new interview in Playboy, saying her “manipulative” almost-sister-in-law would “use sex to get her way on many things.”

“I don’t think Bristol wanted to be with him whatsoever, not at all,” Mercede says of the couple’s brief 2010 reunion. “It was all about her using her body to get Levi to retract his statements, and it worked.”

According to Johnston, Bristol “doesn’t think anything she could do or does is wrong.”

She claims Bristol sent her a Valentine’s Day text message reading, “I hope it was worth it having Lenisha [one of Levi's exes] at your house ’cause you’re never gonna f*cking see your nephew again, b*tch.”

Perhaps Johnston’s biggest allegation is about Bristol’s brother Track Palin, who she claims “would do a lot of drugs.”

“He did OxyContin and mostly cocaine,” says Johnston. “He didn’t choose to go into the Army; he went there because his mom made him, to get him out of the way so when she was at the convention they wouldn’t know he does drugs and would think he was a patriot. It’s a front.”

As for Sarah Palin, Johnston says former governor “doesn’t make her kids go to school… She’d rather parade them around and put on a show at book signings or conventions.”

“The truth about the Palins will come out,” says Johnston. “If everybody who truly knew the Palins would speak up, people would not still think Sarah’s a good person. But they’re afraid to because the Palins have so much money they could do almost anything.”

Johnston’s Playboy interview is accompanied by racy photos.

We’re pretty sure Johnston will be on the Palins’ Christmas card list this year.

Levi Johnston‘s sister Mercede posed nude for the September issue of Playboy, but her shocking interview makes the racy photos seem demure by comparison.

In excerpts obtained by TMZ, Johnton blasts the entire Palin family, calling her brother’s ex Bristol Palin a “sociopath” and predicting that Sarah Palin would have a “mental breakdown” if she were ever elected president.

The nineteen-year-old also makes contradictory claims about Bristol’s pregnancy, first saying she and Levi “planned” on having son Tripp, and then alleging that Bristol sent Levi a text message that read, “Ever since the moment I found out I was pregnant, I prayed to God you weren’t the father.”

Of Bristol, Johnston says, “She’s the meanest person…I didn’t know someone could be so vindictive and evil …[She's] a sociopath. She doesn’t think anything she could do or does is wrong.”

Johnston also calls Sarah Palin a bad mom who’s “never there” for her kids.

Roseanne Barr announced last night on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno“: “I am running for President of the United States.”

The former sitcom star, who was showered in red, white, and blue confetti, claimed, “I’m totally serious.”

She explained to Leno, “I want to be part of the debates, because I want to represent the tax payers, and in fact, I’m choosing the tax payers as my vice president.”

The talk show host even had bumper stickers and buttons made up for presidential run.

When asked whether Sarah Palin influenced her decision, Barr quipped, “It’s because of her that I decided to do a reality show,” and then noted, “That’s kinda what got me to thinking that I too should run for president… if she can.”

Barr stated she’s not running as a Republican or a Democrat.

“I’m not for either party ’cause they both suck and they’re both a bunch of criminals,” said Barr, adding, “So I made up my own party. It’s America’s Green Tea Party.”

Of course, like Donald Trump, who floated a possible presidential bid, which resulted in a ratings boost for “Celebrity Apprentice,” Barr is trying to lift the numbers of her new show, “Roseanne’s Nuts,” which follows her as she runs a nut farm in Hawaii.

Sarah Palin will meet with Donald Trump today at Trump Tower in New York City.

The “Celebrity Apprentice” star’s office has confirmed the meeting, after which Palin and Trump are set to have dinner.

It’s not been revealed what the nature of the meeting will be, although reports claim Palin was the one who requested the Manhattan sit down.

The couple recently wed in Hatcher Pass, Alaska.

“Our families couldn’t be happier! These are two hard working, humble, active, studious young adults who grew up together. We’re tickled that after two decades of friendship we proudly witnessed their marriage, knowing their new life together will be blesses,” the Palin and Hanson families tell People.

Track Palin is an Army Reservist who spent a year in Iraq.

Bristol Palin will star in a new reality show for the Bio channel

The 10-episode series follows single mom Palin as she moves from Alaska to Los Angeles with her son Tripp.

She will work at a charity and move in with Kyle Massey, a former contestant alongside Palin on “Dancing With the Stars,” and his brother, Christopher. The Masseys are best-known for their work on Disney Channel series.

The show is scheduled to air later this year.

Palin certainly has the reality TV pedigree, having competed on “DWTS” and being TLC star Sarah Palin‘s daughter.

The younger Palin’s personal life, including her on-again, off-again relationship with baby daddy Levi Johnston, has been tabloid fodder for two years.

This will be the “Sexy Back” singer’s fourth time hosting the show.

Condoleezza Rice will appear on “30 Rock,” Tina Fey has revealed.

The former secretary of state will do a guest spot as an ex-girlfriend of Alec Baldwin‘s Jack Donaghy, the conservative network executive.

Rice’s appearance will happen before the show’s season finale, Fey said last night at a Thursday night event in Washington, D.C. to promote her new memoir “Bossypants.”

In a previous episode, Donaghy mentions dating a “high-ranking African-American member of the Bush Administration.”

Fey, of course, is best known in political circles for her iconic impersonation of Sarah Palin.

Another major media outlet is treating a parody Sarah Palin “interview” about Christina Aguilera as though it is real.

As Gossip Cop reported yesterday, after a satirical site wrote an article in which the former Alaska governor blasts Aguilera’s bungled national anthem performance during a supposed “radio interview” with Sean Hannity, Us Weekly ran the fabricated remarks as authentic.

Among other outlandish comments, “Palin” says in the spoof interview she wants to “deport” Aguilera and declares that “spicy Latin princesses” shouldn’t be permitted to perform the “Star-Spangled Banner.”

The original, clearly labeled satire can be found here.

Us Weekly eventually yanked its story and today printed a retraction and apology.

But it turns out Us Weekly wasn’t alone.

Time magazine’s website made the same mistake.

In a post about Conan O’Brien making fun of Aguilera, Time casually observes, “And you thought Sarah Palin went overboard by commenting that she wanted to deport the singer?”

Sure enough, Time links to the spoof Palin-Hannity “interview” but fails to get that it’s a joke.

Wow.

Maybe the next time Time makes fun of someone else’s “blunder” in a headline, they should be a little more careful with the facts.

Us Weekly has published what it claims are comments made by Sarah Palin, in which the former vice presidential candidate blasts Christina Aguilera’s performance of the national anthem at Super Bowl XLV.

Except the over-the-top “quotes,” which Us Weekly attributes to a Monday radio interview with Sean Hannity, were actually written for a satire website.

Again: Palin’s Aguilera comments are fabricated.

They come from a satire piece.

Only Us Weekly posted the “Palin” comments as real.

Therefore, according to Us Weekly, Palin calls Aguilera a “demanding beauty queen who’s clearly in over her head.”

The fake “Palin” also talks about wanting to “deport” Aguilera, because “spicy Latin princesses” shouldn’t be allowed to sing at the Super Bowl.

“Unemployment is at nine percent, yet we have to suffer through a performance by a foreigner with a poor grasp of the English language,” the fake “Palin” supposedly tells “Hannity” in the phony interview.

It boggles the mind that a major outlet could read these obviously satirical, fake quotes and treat them as the real deal.

However badly Aguilera botched the anthem last Sunday, Us Weekly just did a hundred times worse.

Tracy Morgan‘s love for Sarah Palin continues.

Just days after Morgan called the vice presidential candidate “good masturbation material” on TNT’s “Inside the NBC,” prompting the network to later apologize, the “30 Rock” was at it again.

After an interview on the red carpet at the SAG Awards with Guliana Rancic of E!, the “30 Rock” star added for no reason at all, “Sarah Palin, you’re the hottest MILF in the world!”

Following a confused look by Rancic, Morgan repeated, “She’s a MILF!”

TNT has issued an apology for Tracy Morgan‘s vulgar remark about Sarah Palin on last night’s “Inside the NBA” pregame show.

During the live broadcast, co-hosts Charles Barkley and Kenny Smith asked the “30 Rock” star who was better looking - Tina Fey or Sarah Palin?

“Yo, let me tell you something about Sarah Palin. She’s good masturbation material,” Morgan responded.

Co-host Ernie Johnson then quickly cut off the comedian by saying, “I want to thank Tracy Morgan for stopping by.”

Today the network issued an apology: ”It’s unfortunate Mr. Morgan showed a lack of judgment on our air with his inappropriate comments. We apologize for any embarrassment or offense it may have caused.”

Bristol Palin has a new man.

The former “Dancing with the Stars” contestant confirmed the news during a radio interview on Friday.

When asked on Anchorage station KWHL’s “The Bob & Mark Show” whether she’s dating an Alaskan pipeline worker (as rumored), Palin would only go so far as to say she’s in a relationship, although she wouldn’t say with whom.

The hosts suggested Palin say, “I’m seeing a guy and he’s really great and Tripp loves him and we’re having a really good time and we’re really good friends. Let’s go with that.”

Palin laughed and replied, “Yeah, we can go with that. I’m thrilled. I love the town that I live in. I love my house [in Arizona]. Tripp’s happy; he’s healthy.”

Palin has a young son, Tripp, with former beau Levi Johnston.

Bristol Palin may not have had the highest scores on “Dancing with the Stars,” but she did score a new home near Phoenix.

The daughter of Sarah Palin just bought a 3,900 square foot home in Maricopa, Arizona for $172,000. The two-story brown stucco house has five bedrooms, two-and-a-half bathrooms, and a three-car garage. It also comes with a landscaped front and backyard, and access to a community pool.

As of now, it’s unclear whether Palin will move there permanently or will be a seasonal resident.

Conan O’Brien apologized to Jimmy Kimmel yesterday for airing a comedy bit about Sarah Palin shooting Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer that was similar to a segment done two weeks ago on “Jimmy Kimmel Live.”

Joking that the staff member responsible for the snafu has been fired, O’Brien (and sidekick Andy Richter) did their best to make things right.

Kate Gosselin and Sarah Palin have a few things in common, but apparently love of the outdoors isn’t one of them.

In this week’s “Sarah Palin’s Alaska,” set to air on Sunday, Gosselin and her kids join the Palin brood for a camping trip in the Alaskan wild, and the mom of eight is not a happy camper.

And it had nothing to do with Palin’s advice to Gosselin about how to handle a bear: “You need a partner with you who’s slower than you.”

On the day of the trip, it’s pouring rain, and the reality star has planted herself under a tarp, scowling, while the Palins and her kids are having a blast.

Although Palin announces with glee, “This is the most luxurious camping spot I’ve ever seen!” Gosselin mutters, ”It just kills me that people, like, willingly do this.”

Gosselin, who was supposed to go camping for two days, barely makes it through two hours before breaking down in tears over a lunch of moose hot dogs and declaring, “I held it together as long as I could and I’m done now!”

She then scoops up her kids, and they book it out of the forest.

The Palins stay, naturally.

“I thought we were gonna go camping with the Gosselins,” Palin says after the Gosselins split. “Turned out, we didn’t. We had lunch with them.”

Bristol Palin took to Facebook to fight back against a blog post made by former “Dancing with the Stars” costar Margaret Cho in which the comedian claims Sarah Palin “forced” her daughter to do DWTS for political reasons.

A few days ago Cho posted, “Why did Bristol do Dancing with the Stars? I heard… the only reason Bristol was on the show was because Sarah Palin forced her to do it. Sarah supposedly blames Bristol harshly and openly… for not winning the election, and so she told Bristol she ‘owed’ it to her to do DWTS so that ‘America would fall in love with her again’ and make it possible for Sarah Palin to run in 2012.”

Really?!

Not exactly, says Palin in her Facebook rebuttal.

Palin explains that she decided to do “Dancing with the Stars” because she want to “get out of my comfort zone and try something new and challenging. I thought dancing would also be a great way to exercise–and it was. I thought it would boost my confidence–and it did. Notably absent from this calculus were political considerations. You want to talk politics, talk to my mom. You want to talk rumba, waltz and the beautiful Spanish paso doble, I’m your girl.”

She further writes, “I will give my friend [Margaret Cho] credit for creativity, and extra points for getting so many ‘facts’ wrong in so few sentences. Let me be blunt: my mom did not ‘force’ me to go on DWTS. She did not ask me either. The show approached me… After first worrying for me in terms of being exposed to those who hate us for what we believe in, both my mom and my dad became my number one supporters. Anyone who watched the show could tell I performed better, and I felt better about myself, when they were in the audience. I wanted to make them both proud, but politics had nothing to do with it.”

Barbara Walters has announced almost all the names of her “10 Most Fascinating People.”

She’s holding back two names for now, and will announce the year’s Most Fascinating Person when the show broadcasts on December 9 on ABC.

So far, the list reads as follows: Justin Bieber, Betty White, LeBron James, the cast of “Jersey Shore,” future queen Kate Middleton, Sarah Palin, “American Idol” judge Jennifer Lopez, and Sandra Bullock.
