We’ll give OK! magazine credit for one thing: The tabloid knows how to milk a rumor.

“It was the canoodle felt round the world,” opens the tabloid’s cover story. “On Dec. 3 Twilight‘s Robert Pattinson left L.A.’s La Poubelle restaurant with actress Sarah Roemer, then squeezed into the backseat of a waiting car and stroked her hand – this with Rob’s on-and-off-screen love, Kristen Stewart, 5,000 miles away in England.”

Ah, yes, the infamous “canoodle”… that never happened.

Robert Pattinson’s been a favorite subject for Famous magazine’s legendary fiction department for years. Now the tabloid is polluting the newsstands and blogosphere with yet another wrong rumor about Pattinson.

This time, Famous wants readers to believe that he’s left Stewart for Caitlin Cronenberg, the daughter of his ‘Cosmopolis’ director David Cronenberg.

We knew that when the Robert Pattinson-Kristen Stewart rumor mill cranked up again the stories would be bogus and silly.

Now it’s just getting ugly.

“Why Kristen Should Be Jealous!” shrieks the latest OK! magazine, the publication that once wanted readers to believe Stewart was pregnant.

We’re afraid to ask, but why should she be “jealous”?

Because Pattinson has supposedly gotten “cozy” with his ‘Cosmopolis’ co-star Sarah Gadon, leaving Stewart “steamed.”

Jay Baruchel has joined ‘Cosmopolis,’ his rep confirms to Gossip Cop.

The movie stars Robert Pattinson as a wealthy but embattled financial whiz over the course of a hectic 24 hours, during which he bets a fortune against the yen.

Baruchel will reportedly play the Pattinson character’s shy counterpart and “conscience.”

Sarah Gadon has reportedly been cast as Robert Pattinson’s estranged wife in Cosmopolis.

To date, the young Canadian actress has primarily appeared in TV series.

Paul Giamatti, Juliette Binoche and Samantha Morton also star in the movie, which follows an incredibly wealthy but embattled young financial whiz over the course of 24 hours.
