Johnny Depp is reportedly in talks to take over for Robert Downey, Jr. in the prequel to ‘The Wizard of Oz.’

‘Oz, the Great and Powerful’ tells the story of a young illusionist who flees the circus, only to have his hot air balloon caught up in a tornado that lands him in the land of Oz.

Downey was scheduled for the role but has dropped out of the project.

The wizard could now be Depp, according to THR.
