The Hunger Games won again for third consecutive weekend at the box office, beating American Reunion and Titanic 3D.

Jennifer Lawrence’s blockbuster turn as heroine Katniss Everdeen earned $33.5 million over Easter Weekend, breaking the $300 million mark in record time (17 days) for a non-summer or non-sequel movie.

21 Jump Street Leaps to Top of Box Office

Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill might have gone undercover, but they’re leaping over the rest of the box office pack.

21 Jump Street, in which the duo star as cops posing as high schoolers, won the weekend box office with $35 million in ticket sales, placing it ahead of previous champ The Lorax, which took second place with $22.8 million.

The Lorax easily beat the competition in its first week at the box office.

The animated Dr. Seuss adaptation, featuring the voices of Zac Efron, Taylor Swift and Danny DeVito, took in an astounding $70.7 million.

Coming in a very distant second was Project X, the R-rated comedy about a wild high school house party. It earned $20.8 million.

Nabbing third place was Act of Valor, with $13.7 million.

Act of Valor, Starring Real Navy SEALS, Wins Box Office

The U.S. military has won the weekend box office.

Act of Valor, starring active duty Navy SEALS, took in $24.7 million in its first week out.

Coming in second was Tyler Perry’s Good Deeds with $16 million in ticket sales.

And finishing in third was Journey 2: The Mysterious Island, with $13.5 million.

Safe House Edges Out The Vow For Holiday Weekend Box Office

Denzel Washington’s Safe House will win the long Presidents Day Weekend, narrowly beating out The Vow, starring Channing Tatum and Rachel McAdams.

Safe House is set to earn $24 million, edging ahead of second place finisher The Vow with $23.6 million.

Taking third is Nicolas Cage’s Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance ($22 million).

The Vow and Safe House In Close Battle For Box Office’s Top Spot

A huge weekend at the box office could come down to the wire, with Channing Tatum-Rachel McAdams romance The Vow and Ryan Reynolds-Denzel Washington thrill ride Safe House both tracking toward nearly $40 million.

Meanwhile, there’s a battle brewing for third place between Journey 2: Mysterious Island (starring Josh Hutcherson and Vanessa Hudgens) and the re-release of Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace in 3D form.

Both movies are projected to top $20 million.
