Ryan Murphy has revealed new details about the upcoming “Glee” tribute episode in honor of late star Cory Monteith.

Although it was previously hinted that the special episode would tie in to the actor’s real-life drug overdose, Murphy now says he’s going in a different direction.

“At one point, we were going to have his character die after an accidental drug overdose — that was something we had considered. But we have decided that we’re not going to have him pass from that,” he shares in a new interview.
