Zach Galifianakis is Rolling Stone‘s new cover boy, and the actor gets into a lot of topics in the accompanying interview, including his two-week career at “Saturday Night Live,” his discomfort with fame, and his talent for offending everyone from Nike to Jane Lynch to Ke$ha to Eliza Dushku.

Most intriguing, though, might he this tidbit about the next sequel in the mega-hit The Hangover franchise.

“They want to do a Hangover III,” says the comedian. “I’m getting fricking phone calls already.”

According to what Galifianakis says he’s heard, the new movie’s plot will dump the format of the first two installments and “focus on his character escaping from a mental institution” with the help of Bradley Cooper and Ed Helms‘ characters.

That would definitely be a change.

Of course, this being Galifianakis, it’s not clear whether he’s joking about the mental institution plot.

But stranger things have happened – especially in the Hangover movies.

Rihanna‘s interview with Rolling Stone is just as revealing as her barely-there outfit on the mag’s cover.

The superstar dishes on Chris Brown, her sex life and more in a wide-ranging discussion that could leave readers’ cheeks as red as Rihanna’s hair.

As for ex-boyfriend Brown, who infamously battered her, Rihanna says he’s no longer in the picture at all.

“We don’t have to talk ever again in my life,” she says.

But she did elect to let a judge ease the restraining order she had against Brown.

“I just didn’t want to make it more difficult for him professionally. What he did was a personal thing – it had nothing to do with his career,” explains Rihanna. “Saying he has to be a hundred feet away from me, he can’t perform at awards shows – that definitely made it difficult for him.”

The “Only Girl” singer emphasized, “It doesn’t mean we’re gonna make up, or even talk again. It just means I didn’t want to object to the judge.”

After the traumatic end to her relationship with Brown, Rihanna had a tough time.

“I put my guard up so hard. I didn’t want people to see me cry. I didn’t want people to feel bad for me,” she recalls.

“It was a very vulnerable time in my life, and I refused to let that be the image. I wanted them to see me as, ‘I’m fine, I’m tough.’ I put that up until it felt real.”

Speaking of real, Rihanna says her hit single “S&M” reflects her real sex life.

“Being submissive in the bedroom is really fun,” she says.

“You get to be a little lady, to have somebody be macho and in charge of your sh*t. That’s fun to me… I like to be spanked. Being tied up is fun.”

“I like to keep it spontaneous. Sometimes whips and chains can be overly planned – you gotta stop, get the whip from the drawer downstairs. I’d rather have him use his hands.”

Justin Bieber talks sex, politics and patriotism in a wide-ranging interview in the new issue of Rolling Stone.

When asked if he believes in sex before marriage, the teen star tells the mag’s Vanessa Grigoriadis, “I don’t think you should have sex with anyone unless you love them. I think you should just wait for the person you’re… in love with.”

The Biebs didn’t discuss rumored girlfriend Selena Gomez. Nevertheless, at one point Grigoriadis caught a glimpse of the background on his laptop – a photo of the two young stars against an orange sunset.

The singer quickly closed the computer when he realized she’d seen the shot.

Along with abstinence, Bieber also has a strong opinion regarding abortion.

“I really don’t believe in abortion,” he says. “It’s like killing a baby?” But what about in cases of rape? “Um. Well, I think that’s really sad, but everything happens for a reason. I don’t know how that would be a reason. I guess I haven’t been in that position, so I wouldn’t be able to judge that.”

As for politics, the pop star is still undecided. Asked what political party he’d join if he were old enough to vote, Bieber says, “I’m not sure about the parties. But whatever they have in Korea, that’s bad.”

So will Canadian-born star become a U.S. citizen any time soon?

No way.

“You guys are evil,” he jokes. “Canada’s the best country in the world. We go to the doctor and we don’t need to worry about paying him, but here, your whole life, you’re broke because of medical bills.”

The issue hits newsstands on February 18.

Rihanna is being sued by famed fashion photographer David LaChapelle.

LaChapelle, who has shot celebs for a vast array of magazines, including Vanity Fair and Rolling Stone, filed a lawsuit today, alleging Rihanna ripped off eight of his images to use as the basis for the video for her song, “S&M.”

“The music video is directly derived from and substantially similar to the LaChapelle works,” reads a portion of the suit.

According to LaChapelle’s court papers, Rihanna’s video clearly copied the “composition, total concept, feel, tone, mood, theme, colors, props, settings, decors, wardrobe and lighting” of his images.

A rep for Rihanna has yet to comment.

Elton John has some straight talk for Billy Joel.

In a new Rolling Stone cover interview, the British music legend doesn’t mince words when discussing Joel, his friend and frequent touring partner.

“He’s going to hate me for this, but every time he goes to rehab they’ve been light [on him],” says John. “When I went to rehab, I had to clean the floors. He goes to rehab where they have TVs.”

John continues, “I love you, Billy, and this is tough love. Billy, you have your demons and you’re not going to get rid of them at rehab light.”

He also claims the struggle to remain sober is damaging Joel’s music.

“At the end of the day, he’s coasting,” says John. “I always say, ‘Billy, can’t you write another song?’ It’s either fear or laziness. It upsets me.”

“Billy’s a conundrum. We’ve had so many cancelled tours because of illnesses and various other things, alcoholism.”

Now Joel has responded to John’s remarks in an exclusive statement to Gossip Cop.

“I’ve worked with Elton for such a long time and I’ve enjoyed our relationship too much to let something as random as these comments change my affection for him,” says Joel.

“Elton is just being Elton.”

Steven Tyler wants to record a new Aerosmith album, the band’s first in 10 years.

But he and Joe Perry aren’t singing the same tune.

“I don’t know where he is, but just come down to L.A. at the end of January sometime. I’ve had enough downtime,” Tyler tells Rolling Stone.

Despite touring together, the longtime bandmates’ offstage relationship has become famously tense in recent years. A previous attempt to record the band’s first new release since 2001′s “Just Push Play” stalled.

Tyler, of course, is about to begin his first season as a judge on “American Idol,” news that Perry greeted with anger. At the time, he even discussed the possibility of replacing Tyler with a new lead singer.

“As far as Joe goes, look, the guy’s got LSD – Lead Strummer Disorder,” Tyler tells Rolling Stone. “We’ve been brothers forever. He’s just going through his thing.”

Tyler believes Aerosmith can move past its current problems and the issues his “Idol” role raised.

“I just need to get them all together and put it together to be a band that is. That’s all.”

Most of the negative response has come from critics who think it’s wrong to have stars who portray high schoolers frolicking in their underwear, even if the women are in their twenties in real life.

But GQ isn’t the only recent magazine cover to raise eyebrows.

Back in August, three naked “True Blood” cast members — Anna Paquin, Stephen Moyer and Alexander Skarsgard — posed for Rolling Stone, splashed with fake blood.

And earlier this month, Kim Kardashian was nude – fully nude — in the pages of W magazine.

Sex sells, of course, but some observers have taken issue with these spreads.

Billy Corgan believes John Mayer is trying to sabotage himself professionally.

In a section cut from an interview in the current issue but now revealed online, Corgan told Rolling Stone Mayer is “trying to destroy his career.”

“Rather than take a year off or change his musical direction,” Corgan continues in the outtake, “Some part of it is irritating his soul to the point where he’s trying to blow it up.”

Mayer has recently come under fire for comments about race and his sex life with ex Jessica Simpson.

“It’s hard to watch someone literally burn their career to the ground,” says Corgan, “speaking as somebody who’s done it.”

Corgan and Simpson casually dated recently and collaborated on music. Of Mayer’s comments about Simpson being “sexual napalm” and like an addictive drug, Corgan remarks, “There’s things you should really just keep your mouths shut on. There’s things that should just be left alone.”

Harper’s Bazaar UK caused a HUGE stir this week by releasing comments Megan Fox purportedly gave to the magazine about her sex life.

Fox revealed that she’s had only two male sex partners.

“I can never have sex with someone that I don’t love, ever. The idea makes me sick,” Fox supposedly told the British edition of Harper’s Bazaar. “I’ve never even come close to having a one-night stand.”

Not surprisingly, the remarks were then printed everywhere.

Except Fox never said those things to Harper’s Bazaar UK.

She said them to Rolling Stone.

Several months ago.

Here are Fox’s remarks from Rolling Stone‘s cover interview back in September:

“Look, I can never have sex with someone that I don’t love, ever, ever, ever. The idea makes me sick. I’ve never even come close to having a one-night stand.”

Harper’s Bazaar UK is busted.

A rep for the actress told Gossip Cop the mag’s interview was supposed to focus on fashion to coincide with Fox becoming the new face of Armani.

Apparently, though, Harper’s Bazaar UK decided to generate interest by lifting old quotes about Fox’s sex life and selling them as major new revelations.

“These are old quotes that have been said before,” the rep tells Gossip Cop, calling it “suspicious.”

Gossip Cop‘s requests for comment from Harper’s Bazaar UK were not returned.

Steven Tyler of rock band Aerosmith has entered rehab in Boston for addiction to prescription painkilers.

“With the help of my family and team of medical professionals I am taking responsibility for the management of my pain and am eager to be back on the stage and in the recording studio,” the singer said in a statement.

Rolling Stone reports that Tyler called earlier rumors that he demanded a two-year break from Aerosmith “completely false.”

Tyler’s daughter, actress Liv Tyler, issued a statement in which she called her father a “courageous man,” adding, “We love him and are so proud that he is getting help… not just for himself but for his family, friends and fans.”

Fresh off his SNL hosting gig, is “New Moon” wolf hunk Taylor Lautner now heading to high fashion?

Rumors abound that 17-year-old Lautner is set to become the new face of Armani. Buzz has a multi-million dollar contract already in place for the future Max Steel “to advertise clothes and the brand’s fragrance, but Armani bosses are holding off on announcing the partnership until Taylor turns 18 in February.”

Actually, there won’t be an announcement since there isn’t a stitch of truth to these finely tailored Taylor rumors. A source close to Lautner tells Gossip Cop the Armani reports are “not true.”

For the time being, it looks like fans will have to settle for the more “casually” dressed Lautner seen on Rolling Stone‘s cover.

Want evidence that Taylor Lautner is becoming incredibly famous? The Internet is boiling over with rumors about his sexuality.

Specifically, whether the “New Moon” werewolf is dating a gentleman named Sean Fox Zastoupil.

One site places the two together on a “private shopping trip” at Kitson (where “inside sources” claim “they really had a blast”). Others are reading an awful lot into Lautner’s recent Rolling Stone interview, in which he says he’s “possibly” dating someone, but won’t say who. When the magazine refers to his status “as a young person trying to figure out his sexual identity in the world,” Lautner responds, “OK. I see where you’re going. Interesting choice.”

Rolling Stone: “It is a possibility.”

Lautner: “There’s a lot of rumors out there.”

Apparently, merely observing that there are rumors out there about yourself (and not denying them) is enough to stir speculation.

But here is “were” it should end with this wolf. A representative for Lautner, who’s been linked romantically to his “Valentine’s Day” co-star Taylor Swift, told Gossip Cop the Zastoupil rumors are “absolutely not true.”

Call Gossip Cop a softie, but we like to share sweet stories that we hear about celebrities. This one is about hip-swiveling Shakira.

On Monday night when the singing star was leaving a party in New York, where she celebrated her latest Rolling Stone cover and the release of her album, “She Wolf,” she breezed past the paparazzi standing outside and instead noticed, as she was getting into her car, an 11-year-old girl who had been patiently waiting for her for two hours. 

“She turned around and went over to the little girl and gave her a big hug,” an eyewitness told Page Six, adding “The girl started tearing up. It was very cute.”

Shakira seems to have a fondness of late for kids. She also told the New York Daily News at that party, “I’d love to have kids,” though she’s not necessarily ready to get married.

Taylor Lautner is scheduled to be Rolling Stone‘s cover boy, Gossip Cop has confirmed.

Photos of Lautner posing on a beach – sometimes with his shirt missing – have surfaced this week, leading fans to wonder whether the “Twilight” star might be planned for more than just the magazine’s inside pages.

He is.

As of now, the pop culture bible intends to put Lautner on its cover around the time “New Moon” is released in November. Neil Strauss is rumored to be the accompanying piece’s author.

The next obvious question … was Robert Pattinson considered for the feature? Our sources tell Gossip Cop that Pattinson wasn’t an option, but that Rolling Stone was thrilled to have the younger Lautner, whose part in the sequel is expanded.
