The former firefighter with a history of harassing Madonna has been convicted of resisting arrest outside the singer’s New York apartment back in September 2010.

Robert Linhart was found guilty by a jury on Friday and faces up to a year in jail.

He was arrested in September 2010 after parking his SUV near the pop star’s Manhattan residence and spray-painting love messages such as “Madonna, I need you.”

The man whose love for Madonna keeps leading him to the pop star’s New York apartment has been ordered to keep his distance.

Robert Linhart, a retired firefighter who was arrested last month with knives and signs proclaiming his love for the pop star outside her Manhattan residence, must remain at least ten blocks away as a condition of his $20,000 bail.

A retired New York firefighter obsessed with Madonna has been busted again outside the pop queen’s Manhattan apartment.

Police took Robert Linhart, who had two knives on him, into custody on Tuesday for the second time in just four days after his Toyota SUV was spotted displaying passionate signs directed at the superstar.
