Robert Downey Jr. was injured on the set of Iron Man 3 on Wednesday, causing production to be halted.

In a statement, Marvel Studios says, “Robert Downey Jr. sustained an ankle injury on the set of Iron Man 3 in Wilmington, North Carolina while performing a stunt.”

The studio adds, “There will be a short delay in the production schedule while he recuperates.”

A so-called “insider” for the tab divulges, “They are both incredibly excited; Jen can’t believe it’s actually happening!” noting, “They’re writing their own vows, and she’s already rewritten hers countless times.”

Sherlock Holmes: Game of Shadows easily won the weekend box office, debuting with $40 million in ticket sales.

Robert Downey, Jr.’s detective film finished ahead of second place Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chip-Wrecked, with $23.5 million.

Despite a limited release, Tom Cruise’s spy movie, Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol, still nabbed third with $13.6 million.

“After cross-dressing for his latest ‘Sherlock Holmes’ movie, Robert Downey Jr. plans to film a remake of the classic gender-bending comedy ‘Some Like It Hot’!” exclaims the National Enquirer.

But that’s not all.

According to the tabloid, “Downey has even recruited British heartthrob Jude Law, his co-star in the upcoming sequel ‘Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadow,’ to join him in the drag extravaganza.”
