Rip Torn has pleaded not guilty to burglary and firearms charges after his January bank break-in.

The 79-year-old Torn, best known for his role on “The Larry Sanders Show” and in films like Men in Black, broke into a Salisbury, Connecticut bank on the night of January 29, carrying a loaded gun. Intoxicated, he reportedly believed it to be his home.

Rip Torn entered rehab yesterday, a source close to the actor confirms to Gossip Cop.

An intoxicated Torn was arrested on Friday night for breaking into a bank building with a loaded revolver.

A. Thomas Waterfall, an attorney for the actor, told the court during an arraignment on Monday, “The history here is clear that there’s an alcohol issue that needs to be addressed.”

Rip Torn arrived at court this morning following his Friday arrest on gun and burglary charges.

He entered the courtroom with his legs shackled and chained to three other prisoners. Torn wore cowboy boots, black pants, a plaid shirt, and a navy blue jacket. After sitting on a bench and being read his rights, Torn and the other three men walked back to the holding area.
