“NBC’s New Year’s Eve with Carson Daly” has just announced its slate to ring in 2012.

Joining Daly on the 2-hour special from Times Square in New York are Drake and Jessie J, as well as “The Voice” music coaches Blake Shelton and Cee Lo Green.

There will also be performances from The Roots and Tony Bennett, and segments from Jimmy Fallon, Bob CostasBrian Williams, and Ricky Gervais.

The comedian sparked controversy with his monologue jokes during last year’s ceremony, during which he targeted many of Hollywood’s biggest stars.

Now the two have a mock confrontation in a clip from Gervais’ new series “Life’s Too Short” – except, according to Gervais, a lot of people seem to think it’s genuine!

Johnny Depp got his start on “21 Jump Street” – and now he’s giving the movie reboot a boost.

Gossip Cop confirms that Depp, who starred as Tom Hanson in the original series, will film a short, uncredited cameo for the film, which stars Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum.

There are no further details about what such a cameo will look like.
