Rhys Ifans was reportedly arrested for misdemeanor battery for allegedly shoving a female security guard last night at Comic-Con.

“The Amazing Spider-Man” villain supposedly became upset when a member of his entourage was barred from entering the hall where Ifans was slated to participate in a panel for the movie, according to The Wrap.

‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ will be released on July 3, 2012, Columbia Pictures announced today.

Until now, the Spidey reboot was untitled.

Andrew Garfield stars as the webslinger, with Emma Stone and Rhys Ifans also featured.
