A few years ago, Natalie Portman played against her nice girl image by rapping on “Saturday Night Live.”

Now, Rachel Bilson is taking things up a notch.

In her new Funny Or Die video “Call Me Doctor,” Bilson name checks Portman – along with her former “O.C.” co-star Mischa Barton – while parodying her new “Hart of Dixie” character and generally acting like a badass.

Her “Hart of Dixie” colleagues Wilson Bethel and Scott Porter also appear.

“Rachel’s Big Breakup,” reads the headline of an item in Us Weekly, which goes on to claim that Rachel Bilson and Hayden Christensen have “split – again.”

The mag quotes a source as saying, “They’re done this time,” and notes how they “met in 2007, got engaged in 2008, and then called it off in 2010.”

According to Us Weekly‘s so-called “insider,” the “engagement’s over, relationship’s over. She’s really had it.”

While it’s true they are not currently engaged, Bilson and Christensen are NOT “over.”

The on-and-off couple, who met on the set of Jumper, are still on.

A source close to Bilson assures Gossip Cop the breakup report is “absolutely not true.”

Hayden Christensen and Rachel Bilson “may be ringing it on again,” reports Star magazine.

“After breaking off their engagement last summer, the pair reunited in November,” writes the mag, which goes on to claim that Christensen and Bilson “are secretly altar-bound once more.”

The tab quotes a so-called insider as saying, “They want to stay quiet about new wedding plans for now, but they are incredibly happy!”

So, are they really engaged again?

No.

A source close to the actress tells Gossip Cop that the Jumper co-stars “are not engaged,” but noted, “they are still dating.”

Rachel Bilson and Hayden Christensen have apparently rekindled their romance.

The couple, who called off their engagement back in August, are reportedly an item again. Christensen was seen last week leaving Bilson’s house in the Los Feliz section of Los Angeles.

“They’re dating again,” a friend of the actress tells People magazine.

Bilson and Christensen met on the set of Jumper back in 2007 and got engaged the following year.

Gossip Cop is awaiting confirmation from their reps.

Rachel Bilson is reportedly reteaming with “The O.C.” creator Josh Schwartz for a new pilot called “Ghost Angeles.”

Picked up by NBC - even though a script hasn’t been written yet – the show will reportedly focus on Bilson as a young woman who communicates with the dead, and uses the spirits to help guide her life, reports Deadline.

Bilson first shot to fame in 2003 when Schwartz cast her as a guest-star on “The O.C.,” a role that was soon upgraded to series regular.

This will be Schwartz’s second project at NBC, with “Chuck” now in its fourth season.

According to various poorly informed “sources,” Chace Crawford is really busy these days.

The “Gossip Girl” actor has been linked to Rachel Bilson by Life & Style, while the Daily Mail claims he’s with Kelly Osbourne.

X17 Online does an excellent job of picking up both rumors – and doing nothing to check their validity.

Instead, the site just regurgitates Life & Style‘s eyewitness’ claim that Crawford and Bilson were “flirting” and the “attraction was obvious” at a group dinner in New York, while also rehashing the Daily Mail‘s report that Crawford and Osbourne “have been on a couple of dates.”

Let us kill two birds with one… story.

Crawford isn’t with either woman.

“It’s not true,” a rep for Osbourne tells Gossip Cop about the “couple of dates” rumor.

Similarly, Bilson’s spokesperson confirms that while the two did have dinner with their friends, the actress “is not dating” the TV hunk.

Looks like Crawford is just the victim of bad “Gossip.”

When Perez Hilton can’t even find another terrible outlet whose bogus rumor he can “borrow,” and instead promises that his “exclusive” comes from good “sources,” you know you’re in for a doozy.

To wit, today’s “New Couple Alert” about Jake Gyllenhaal and Rachel Bilson.

“Very good sources reveal exclusively to PerezHilton.com that Jake GyllenHO and Rachel Bilson have been ‘spending a lot of time together’ – on the down low!” writes the blogger.

If Hilton took just 10% of the time he likely spends brainstorming juvenile nicknames and used it to develop actual sources, maybe he wouldn’t be so dreadful at his job.

This latest “couple alert” for Gyllenhaal and Bilson is — surprise! — a figment of Hilton’s imagination.

“Not true!” a rep for Gyllenhaal laughed to Gossip Cop when we asked about the rumored pair.

Maybe Hilton and his “sources” are still hungover from their anniversary party.

Two months after reports surfaced that Rachel Bilson and Hayden Christensen were taking a break, comes word the couple has officially ended their engagement.

A rep for Bilson says, “The engagement is off.”

Well, no ambiguity there.

Bilson and Christensen met on the set of the film Jumper.

“It looks like Rachel Bilson and Hayden Christensen are on a permanent break,” says Star magazine of the previously engaged couple.

That’s because “she’s getting close” to Andy Samberg, claims the tab.

According to Star, since taking time to assess things with Christensen a few weeks ago, Bilson has “been connecting” with Samberg, who “recently split from musician Joanna Newsom.” The tab has a so-called “source” who reports, “Andy and Rachel are taking it slow, just hanging out. But they’re having a blast.”

Maybe the tab should take it slow… and check some facts.

A rep for Samberg tells Gossip Cop the “Saturday Night Live” performer is still with girlfriend Newsom.

Adds Bilson’s rep, “She has never even met Andy.”

Yup, Star magazine is wrong about a relationship.

Alleged burglar Alexis Neiers will get 180 days in jail and be placed on three years of felony probation for her role in a string of incidents in which celebrities’ property was stolen.

Neiers entered a no contest plea and was ordered to surrender by June 24.

She is believed to have been part of the so-called “Burglar Bunch,” which victimized stars including Orlando Bloom, Paris Hilton, and Rachel Bilson.

In addition to her criminal activity, Neiers stars on the E! reality series, “Pretty Wild.”

Orlando Bloom has a major appearance coming up, but it won’t be on the big screen. Next week the movie star will reportedly testify in a Los Angeles courtroom about a string of burglaries that targeted him and other celebrities.

More than $500,000 worth of watches, artwork and other possessions of his were stolen in July 2009 from his Hollywood Hills home.

The theft was part of an alleged teen-aged crime ring that’s accused of also stealing from Rachel Bilson and Paris Hilton.

Bloom is slated to testify in the case of Alexis Neiers, one of the accused. Neiers, who happens to star on the E! reality series “Pretty Wild,” has pleaded not guilty to a felony burglary charge, People reports.

Among the hoaxes regarding Robert Pattinson this week (including vile reports of his “death”) were several rumors about the Twilight star’s sexuality. While most of these stories were easily ID’d as April Fools fabrications, one stubborn version that keeps hitting our tip line concerns an “interview” Pattinson’s pal Tom Sturridge supposedly gave.

Originating on a user-generated portion of PopSugar, the purported Q&A touches upon Sturridge’s upcoming Waiting For Forever (with Rachel Bilson) and his work on last year’s Pirate Radio.

But the portion grabbing eyes is wedged in the middle, after the interviewer asks suddenly about Sturridge’s friendship with Pattinson.

Explaining that he’s known Pattinson since school and lived with him for a while, Sturridge then supposedly says, “We’ve been friends and more for what feels like our whole lives” before growing uncomfortable and “hurriedly” amending his previous statement with, “I mean, we are friends.”

Pressed about their relationship, Sturridge pauses before allegedly responding, “I really don’t want to talk about [Pattinson]. It’s just weird, you know? I want to respect his privacy, since he doesn’t have much of it anymore. I mean, I’d do the same for any of my friends.”

And then, just as abruptly as the “interview” veered into Pattinson territory, it switches immediately to a professional question about Philip Seymour Hoffman.

Here’s the problem.

Even though the “interview” comes from an unknown author on a user-generated platform and some outlets treated it as a possible April Fools’ Day joke (it circulated on April 1, after all), other outlets — probably because the film-oriented content does mirror previous Sturridge discussions — ran the Q&A as though it’s a recent, legitimate chat containing the intimation that Pattinson and Sturridge have been involved romantically.

But it’s not, and it doesn’t.

Sturridge’s other comments, about work, are very similar to what he’s said elsewhere.

And he has talked about knowing Pattinson forever and living with him, but talk of protecting Pattinson’s “privacy” has referred explicitly to Sturridge not wanting to putting even more media glare on his good friend.

It has nothing to do with any kind of relationship between the two.

Gossip Cop doubts the veracity of any of the “interview,” and is trying to gauge how much of it is “real,” but lifted from other sources. We contacted the PopSugar user multiple times but received no response to our inquiries.

One thing that is certain — Sturridge never gave any interviewer any indication that Pattinson harbored a sexuality bombshell.
