A country icon and a hip hop veteran are teaming up to make ‘Joyful Noise.’

Dolly Parton and Queen Latifah are set to star in the movie, which focuses on two women who try to keep a small-town gospel choir from shutting down. Latifah will play a mother who replaces the choir’s director after his death, while Parton has the role of the director’s widow — who also wants to lead the group.

While the actual numbers for both films look to be slightly under initial projections, Iron Man 2 will hold off Robin Hood to keep the box office crown this weekend.

Iron Man 2 will finish with roughly $49 million for the weekend. It has broken the $200 million barrier in its first two weeks of release.

Robin Hood — the #1 film internationally — scored about $36 million in North America.

Producers behind the 82nd Academy Awards just announced eight new male presenters to an already star-packed lineup at Sunday’s broadcast.

Bradley Cooper, Tom Ford, Jake Gyllenhaal, Chris Pine, Keanu Reeves, Sam Worthington, Ryan Reynolds, and Gerard Butler will present Oscars, according to producers Bill Mechanic and Adam Shankman.

Haiti is about to get some more much needed help.

Queen Latifah, Sean “Diddy” Combs, and Pharrell will host a two-hour concert and telethon to benefit Haiti on February 5.

“SOS Saving OurSelves — Help for Haiti” will be staged at the American Airlines Arena in Miami and air live on BET, MTV, VH1 and Centric at 8:00pm Eastern.

President Obama has invited performers including Bob Dylan and Natalie Cole to the White House next month for a concert commemorating the music of the civil rights movement.

The program, to be hosted by Morgan Freeman and Queen Latifah, takes place on February 10 and will also feature Jennifer Hudson, Seal, Smokey Robinson, John Legend and John Mellencamp.
